Another great item if you want to keep a babyish look is this tape, You also have to tear the diaper to get the tapes loose.

Yup, diaper pins are definitely a good investment, even with disposables. Just be careful while pinning the diaper! Poking yourself isn't fun. </Captain Obvious>

Until Pampers added sticky tape tabs in 1972, disposable diapers had to be held either by tape sold separately by the roll or diaper pins. The first time my Mom bought Pampers for my youngest sister Missy in the summer of 1972 Mom did not know to buy the roll of tape, so she used diaper pins. That worked well enough because Missy was sick and not moving around.

I can't understand why cheap as hell diapers have better tapes than the higher priced ones.

That's a great alternative to duck tape, and looks better too. I might have to pick up some diaper pins.

I use real cotton diapers and 3 inch pins aren't big enough. My wife just ordered me some 5 inchers.
