I'm trying to clean up my hard drive.

When I go to "add remove" programs to remove a program

I will more than likely get the message

"cannot find "xyz.abc" file, cannot remove program".

I use to be just annoyed, but now am getting really pissed off. WTF!!

I just want to remove software that I no longer use.

Can someone help a person who knows about more than putting gas in a car but less than

the algorithm for speed vs induced drag?

It sounds like you have deleted the programe files in the C: drive.

The program files normanally have the uninstall file to remove the program.

Your best bet would be to install the software again and then use add and remove programs to remove the software.

Not being very computer minded my answer to the problem would be to throw it out of an open window prefferably from the gazzilionth floor !!!

That always sorts out the problem-just make sure no one is standing underneath.

It may not be a bad idea to re-format the hard drive and re-load the operating system.

That will clean up everything
