COPD and accidents

Does anyone have peeing or pooping accidents when you go into a coughing spell with your COPD? I frequently have accidents whenever I go into a coughing spell. I am bladder and bowel incontinent from a damaged disc in my lower back but the number of accidents I have lately has gone way up due to my COPD coughing flare ups.

I can see that.  A heavy coughing spell puts a lot of stress on your body and a person could easily wet themselves, or even mess themselves if they had to poop.  Add to that a person who is incontinent and wets and poops his diapers anyway without control, and I can easily see it happening.

I don’t have COPD, but i DO have high blood pressure and a coughing fit will make me black out and wet myself..
