Rearz Select - Two Tape Vintage Diaper - All White Diapers, medium/large sizes, A Review.

This is a purchased item review and not a compensated item review

Going to be getting the medium diaper on today as well as writing a review. While I am/was a DL, not an AB in the least, they are white and plastic backed. Then try on the large after. 

Medium size parameters: 12 per bag / 36 per case

76 cm <-> 102 cm / (30" <-> 40")

Max fit: 26" <->47"

3800 ml capacity

Medium size Dry weight: 6.2 oz

Medium size soaked weight: 2 lbs 13.9 oz

Large size parameters: 12 per bag / 36 per case

98 cm <-> 112 cm / (39" <-> 44")

Max fit: 30" <->54" 

3800 ml capacity << you would think it would be more, since more surface area ?

 Dry weight: 6.4 oz

Soaked weight: 3lbs 0.2 oz

First Impressions:

Nice lightweight diaper. Probably great for around the house, short trips. The WIDE tape is nice, but for mt waist size 44 inches, the tapes seem to be a bit low on the hips. I did try and "remove and replace the tapes into another position, but it was tearing out the plastic backing. I didn't try the other side. 

Would I wear this under clothes and trust it to not fall off? - NO. Seemed to be a bit loose after a few minutes of having it on. I "tightened it up" with white duct tape strips on the sides, above the wide tape tabs.

Would this be a nice fetish diaper? - Probably, but your tastes will vary. Did it "feel nice"  for "play" ? - not sure yet, haven't gotten to that point.

Leg gathers are nice. Not as tall as I see on other diapers.

3:25 pm - I put on one of the mediums.

4:48 pm some slight wetting about 4 inches around, nothing major, held everything fine.

6:55 pm some slight wetting again, about 4 inches around, nothing major, held everything fine.

8:25 pm some slight wetting again, about 4 inches around, nothing major, held everything fine, not even halfway down to the crotch yet.

9:36 pm some slight wetting again, about the same as before, nothing major, held everything fine, still not halfway soaked into the crotch.

10:12 pm some slight wetting again, about the same as before, nothing major, held everything fine, now halfway soaked into the crotch.

11:28 pm some slight wetting again, about the same as before, nothing major, held everything fine, now more than halfway soaked into the crotch.

12:41 am some slightly heavier wetting, more than before,  held everything fine, soaked front to back.. that's it for the medium diaper.

I put on the Large size: 11:40 am 2-27-2022

First Impressions: 

After putting it on, the large size diaper, I like the better fit. Tapes are "higher on the hips" and a bit more snug fit all around.

11:41 am some slight wetting from the moment I put it on, due to MS, wetting is slow and constant for about 23 minutes, held everything fine, soaked the front half after it stopped.

2:17 pm to 2:41 pm MS issues started again and wetting slow and constant that lasted 24 minutes and am all but soaked front to back. Still no leaks showing on the chair pad.

2:58 pm - final wetting, and this first large size diaper is used up. Still no leaks showing on the chair pad. 

2nd Large diaper coming up. 

Now... for a 3800 ml diaper this Large size is working well for a two tape ABDL style Vintage look.

Fits nicer than the Medium size. Another reason for us "inbetween sizes guys and ladies" to get trial sizes. 

Now I wish I hadn't bought a bag of mediums (still sealed) and had gotten a bag of Large size. 

Either way / either size, I think I would like these as a "Around the house, short or medium trips away from the house" Its a nice adaptation from what some of us grew up with. It does swell up some but not obvious under jeans - unless you have tight fitting jeans..

I DO think that the medium size diaper should have the tapes moved up about 1/2 inch on the sides in the next production run , but that being said, I don't think these are overpriced for what you get. I think they are a decent/good value for the price. 

If I had to order again, it would be a full case or enough to get free shipping out of the deal. I think you will get value for your purchase.

DO GET their trial sizes FIRST. I was sure that the sizes and fits posted was the same as the Lil Bella and Princess and Nighttime Incontrol diaper FIT /FEEL/size but this medium seemed a tic - "different"

I WILL BE using the other Large sample right after this diaper is over and done with. I like it that much.

If anyone wants to trade out a sealed bag of mediums for sealed bag of large, I would be up for it.

Nice review of the select I had the same problem with the medium size as well in the past they fit like they were loose on me so I thought that they were defective now I have got myself some super dry kids diapers large size ones they fit perfectly on me now I know why the select size medium felt weird.

Great review! I agree that you want to err on the larger side with the Selects. That also tends to solve the problem with the tabs ripping the backing, because they will land squarely on the landing zone, making them easier to reposition. I agree with your conclusions; I bought them as a novelty diaper because I love vintage Pampers, but I ended up wearing them as a daily driver occasionally because I liked them that much. They don't come into inventory that often, but when they do, I will buy a case of the large ones, I think. I'm about a size 38 - 40 waist right now, but I have tree-trunk legs that tend to require a larger diaper in order for the bottom tabs to land comfortable and not be barely hanging on, although the single tab design of the selects is a bit less constrictive around the legs than two tab diapers usually are.

Thinking these were just a Rearz version of the Super Dry Kids I went ahead and bought a case right away once Cooshie Tooshiez had them for sale. Well, they feel like bigger diapers than the fit on the Alpacas (and come up higher) and they feel like they hold a little less than the SDKs. And this very clear - they're not the same diaper - for all their size they don't have the bulk of the more absorbent Rearz diapers, and so they have a weird fit. I'm an L in AB Universe and in Rearz, but these Ls fee like they're bigger and not necessarily in the right way for me. I'm winding out the case and probably won't buy again.
