Diapers And Doctors

I think I have a general check-up coming sometime soon and sometimes I get this sudden urge to want to wear a diaper to the check-up.

Though I am nervous because he would be the first person to know I like wearing them (aside from Daily Diapers), and I have no idea how he would react. Has anyone ever done this in this type of situation and how did they react?

Yet, another question: Think he would buy an excuse like "I have been really stressed out lately." or do you think it would be better to just say, "I just like to wear them." ?

First of all, is the doctor you're seeing the one who has been treating you all along? If not, I think you have nothing to worry about. Except the worry of embarrassment. This worry has long said it's farewell to me. So, I have had no qualms about going to the doctor, going to court to argue a warrant, or any of the other stressful circumstances life may present one with, dressed as I am meant to be. Doctors understand and the rule of law is meant to be fair to all.

Why make excuses in hoping people will believe them? I would tell the doctor you like to wear them. It's an honest response and doctors tend to respect that.

Not to worry.

I'm not sure I'd go to the doctor and tell him you like wearing diapers...that would be exposing your fetish to him and he probably doesn't want to "participate" in it.

I've always worn diapers to my doctor, but I told her from day one that I am incontinent, had been to every known specialist, and wasn't interested in being poked, prodded, cath'd etc any more. She was fine with that, and I've been to her (diapered) for the last 10 years.

4 years ago my regular doc left practice he new nothing of my diapered interests. He did treat me a couple times for the diaper rash but i told him i work out doors and its the heat.

When the opportunity came up to find a new doc i took my time and did a little shopping around finding a younger doctor than my last ,they just seem to be more less likely to ask a thousand questions anyone of which could trip you up. So i started my search simply calling around and speaking with their nurse telling them i was a incontinent adult and that part of my life had been fully explore and i just wanted a opened minded doc that would understand what i had been threw. I found nurse Nancy she was great even going as far as telling me they treated many patients with incontinence and it would not be a subject that would shock him. Since then my life has been fantastic. At any time i can go to my doc in what ever diaper I’m into sit on the exam table and nothing is said. In the past he has treated some rashes i let get away from me and given me a diagnoses without even the first test. Nancy has joked in the past about my diapers wondering if I was coming in disposable or wasable. I even showed up once in a cloth diaper with a diaper cover with firemen on them she thought It was very cute and didn’t know you could get custom diaper covers in adult sizes.

So i would agree with the above if you walked in to a docs office you had been going to for years diapered you might have lots to splaining to do. Other wise read up on modern day incontinence treatments diagnosis’s and find a new doc saying you have been threw all the tests and just want that part of your life behind you. It works I’m living proof..

There are a lot of things to consider before going to a doctor in diapers. One, you will never be able to fool a doctor by giving them some medical excuse for your "incontinence". They are doctor's and know a lot more about medical situations than you do. Also, even though you may not happen to go to your regular doctor, most other doctors you may see will pass along any records of your visit to your regular doctor, therefore, be prepaired to answer questions about your "incontinence" the next time you go to your normal doctor. Thirdly, if you are only 18, be prepaired for your parents finding out if they don't already know. This could be in the form of a call to your home by the doctor's staff wanting to schedual tests, etc., if you live with your parents. In a person who is 18, any doctor will want to run some tests to get to the bottom of your incontenence problems. Even if you say you are stressed and sometimes have accidents, the doc will want to do tests, referrals, treatment, etc. Even a new doctor will want to review records of your past medical history and that means you can't try and fake any kind of previous injury to your bladder or spine or anything. Doctor's are afraid of malpractice lawsuits and therefore will be very hesitant to just shrug off a medical condition without doing tests to try and determan the cause. I would say that if you really want to wear diapers to your doctor, be open about your real reason's for wearing them and be prepaired for a lot of questions and even the word getting back to family members. Think of the worst possible senario that could happen and then decide if it's worth it.

Warning, doctors are not as professional as you might think, and will indeed strongly discourage you from seeing them on a basis of personal prejudice. They aren't any more enlightened or open than the rest of the population, just more educated. I speak from the personal experience of being told something along the lines of 'i don't think you're in the right place, you might want to go elsewhere' when trying to get general diagnostic check-ups just because I'm a transsexual. Which is bullshit, I still need to see the same doctors everybody else does for things like physicals and regular exams.

I have gone to the last two times in diapers. I told him i wear them for fun. That i liked them. He thought it was a little odd but didn't pass any judgement. But then he was cool with me being gay in the first place.

You need to be sure you have a non judgemental person as a doctor or you will find visits unpleasant.

Dr really do not know a lot of what cause incontinence take my word on that, it took them many years to find a reason for me

they will check prostate and a few other tests is about all

the problem with telling them you like diapers as it will go in your record, and if they comes a time in the futures it may even be harder to prove a medical need.

All good points you should listen! I'm in my 30's and had over looked the fact your 18 and i did not mean to make its sound as simple as a phone call. That's why i said Know your incontinence stuff before trying this. Its not for the faint of hart and if you so much as slip up once in your details or symptoms your Screwed and busted!

So i agree with everyone here when i say its a very bad ideal for you to attempt this! :bash:

Yes there are many, many reasons why this isn't such a good idea. Consider also, what it will do to your current and/or future insurance rates if you ended up with "unexplained incontinence" on your medical record. Another one would be what if it comes out that you lied? You'll never have your doctor's complete trust ever again.

At the end of the day, it's up to you but the only person you'd be fooling would be yourself... Lying to your doctor is never a good idea.

I have gone to a Dr. in a diaper. I had just moved to a new area and I needed to find a new Dr. So I looked around and found one and decided I would go to the appointment in a diaper. And I did. But here is the really important part. I told the Dr. the TRUTH! After she asked me all sorts of questions about my health, family history, etc etc I said something along the lines of the following.

"There is one other thing I need to tell you. Although there is nothing physically wrong with me, I wear diapers. Yea, its a bit weird I know. But I really do wear them all the time. I don't want to lie to you and tell you there is something wrong with me, I believe you should lie to cops, but not to your Dr."

Dr. "OK. Are you sure there is nothing wrong? YOu don't have accidents or anything"

me: "Yes, I am totally sure. Really there is nothing wrong, its just a personal choice I made a long time ago. Like I said, I know its a bit strange and all, but hey, it makes me happy."

Dr. "OK then"

That was about it. The rest of the appointment went really well and we had a good Dr. patient relationship.

Bottom line here. NEVER LIE TO YOUR DR. Its just a really bad idea. If you are not ready to tell your Dr. the honest truth, don't go to your appointment in a diaper.
