redneck diaper boy
It leaks due to lack of absorbancy! One could always double diaper but it is a pain and it gets expensive. I have worn all sorts of disposable diapers and none of them come close to a good cloth diaper and waterproof overpants. http://chemistry.about.com/b/a/257691.htm thought i would post a Little link i found Link to comment
Valentine
When a child (or adult) uses the diaper, water is added, but also salts. There will be salts outside of the polyacrylate molecules as well as inside, so the sodium polyacrylate won't be able to absorb all the water before the sodium ion concentration is balanced. The more concentrated the urine, the more salt it contains, and the sooner the diaper will leak. This is an interesting point that the author made. The meaning is that the longer you wait before wetting, the less absorbent the diaper will be. Link to comment

Guest
I also read the article about plastic diapers and infertility. I don't think this has as much merit as it seems. When testicles are too warm, they hang lower to cool. I don't notice this effect any more in diapers than I do not in diapers. I doubt the cooling when I take the diaper off would make it constrict so fast I'd never see it. Link to comment
