Oops, it's that ol' '2 nations divided by a common language' thing cropping up again

Milwaukee News entitled it "Toilet Racing" though, not I. If you watched the video, all was revealed and a 'toilet' is what's known as a 'potty' over there.

I've never seen Toilet Racing, but Lawnmower Racing has an 'Anorak-Following 'over here. (the push-along, not the sit-on-and-ride type motorised lawnmower) and it was surprisingly hilarious to watch on the one occasion when I very reluctantly went along to an event. Although I have to say, for me, the real source of humour was in the intense competitiveness and seriousness of the participants!

Think of this. While I was in the Marines, a restroom is called a "Head"

I used to be home on leave, at a resturant with the family and ask the waitress.."excuse me, where's your head". Or " I need to use your head". Now that was a bit awkward.

Yep Val, that's it. Although there's only a narrow strip of water between here and France, (hence the colloquialisms we use travel back and forth) on the internet it's easy to forget there's a whole big ocean between you and us.
