SoCalAB
Hi friends I got a message from EBAY last night that they have pulled one of my auctions for a hypnosis CD because they have deemed it for MATURE AUDIENCES. I guess their mission is to protect minors from viewing fetish gear and I can respect their intentions. I had no idea that there were products hidden from the normal searches on Ebay where you now have to prove your age in order to see. Sadly, items in EVERYTHING ELSE: MATURE AUDIENCE can not be listed as BUY IT NOW nor can these items be purchased via PAYPAL owing to some sort of international law. This would really slow down the process of getting product into your hands. No doubt Ebay will be pulling the rest of my auctions so as of today I have decided that I will only be marketing my system on my website: http://socalab.250x.com as well as www.diaperstation.com I will continue to support my products with lifetime guarantees on the media as well as a free support group for questions. Happy Holidays and stay Pampered SoCalAB Link to comment
Baby D
That's really dumb of Ebay. Kids are always going to find ways around "the system". Almost everybody nowadays has an Ebay account and you know that kids are going to log in under their parents I.Ds. I guess that means they'll probably pull any other auctions AB/DL related too. DiaperBigBoy
i know a kid in the boy scout troop that im in(im an assistant scoutmaster) that is 16 and he just got his parents credit card and lied about his age and he has an ebay and paypal account... I'm not proud of myself, but I was an eagle scout, and i have done some bad things like that. But I defintly agree with ebay, because kids wouldn't understand it. I know today, kids are smarter then usually so it won't matter, but I am still old fashion and I think kids should try and be kids, and not they shouldn't experience things so early. See if kids log on to this site, then somebody sees that on a kids computer, or the computer the kids are using, then they report that to someone, someone might acuse an adult of "child malestation" (sp) and there could be some serious legal problems there. and spill bad news for that adult. Plus that kid doesn't get in trouble, because it's the adult responsiblity to act like adult and not screw like that. This is a great fetish, but it's always draws all kinds of weirdos that ruin it for the good people. (As in anything) I totally don't think it's fair, but it's a good idea for ebay, as in law suits could happen and they don't want any problems like that. Link to comment
It's A Boy!
^.^ Was also a boy scout. However, I've had an ebay account since I was about 14 and have had a credit card/paypal account since I was about 16, and while I've been looking at AB/DL auctions for a while, I never had the courage to purchase anything until I lived alone. I doubt many kids are going to be buying AB/DL videos anyway. I mean, diapers/accessories maybe, but videos? Link to comment
PowderWhite
I suppose I can understand their logic in restricting some items to age verified status (although as has been pointed out, that is a more or less meaningless effort), but what's the point of not allowing the full range of services on those items? Why no buy it now? Link to comment
SoCalAB
It is really hard to make sense out of this because when I first joined Ebay in 2003 they would not permit people to bid on items unless they were ateast 18 years of age. Oh well that they way the knee jerks in Corporate America. I suppose I can understand their logic in restricting some items to age verified status (although as has been pointed out, that is a more or less meaningless effort), but what's the point of not allowing the full range of services on those items? t baby
Socal, I had the same darn problem with ebay!! recently! I have been trying to list ab movies and they kept pulling them!! In one day i had 262 hits!! and now that i have them listed in mature audience I don't even have 20 hits!! Some people dn't know how to look for things like this on ebay I had a heck of a time listing them myself. I think if ebay requires us to list these on mature audiences then they should at least give consumers instructions on how to look for these items. i mean if you go onto ebay right now and type in adult baby movies? they won't show up!! We all should be treated fair here. heck ANY body can click submit for age verification. Link to comment
DailyDi
ebay has gotten way to corporate-minded for my tastes. I honestly don't see how they can rate your CD's as for "Mature Audiences" since it contains no pornography, nothing harmful and as far as I have seen, nothing sexual at all. It's not a dildo, it's a hypnosis CD. Link to comment
FunTime
And I think dildos are allowed on eBay ... but apparently hypnosis CDs are not? I'd complain about it, ask for the issue to be reviewed. You can just mention you're selling a hypnosis CD and wish to somehow continue to sell it, otherwise you're going to have to take your business and auctions elsewhere (there are still MANY sites that do sell eBay style). I think you could at least knock on their door about it, see what they have to say. Link to comment
