Mainly a hobby, but it is proving to be profitable. Not a lot as the get rich quick days of bitcoin are over, but it's fun and in the end I can spend the bitcoin

I thought Bitcoin mining was to the point where you paid more for the electricity to run your rig than you got back.

It's close, but bitcoin rigs are getting more efficient and the value of bitcoin is slowly rising, so it can still be profitable depending on where you live and the rates you pay for the electricity.

Picked up an extra .15฿ overnight when my pool got lucky and solved three blocks in an hour. Back up to 0.8 and will be .9 by the end of the day.

if you really want to make money get solar panels and batteries to run your miner off of

then you will only have to recoup the money spent on the miner and the solar panels/batteries after that you all earning
