I would think that a girl onesie would be one of those one-piece items with the snap crotch and the too-short skirtlet. While it would not be approved of when I was little since it was a rule that the skirt must cover the panties sufficiently to be decent. If it had shoulder strpas and were made of the right material, it might be a passable undergarment under a dress or something like that

Even the traditional babydoll, which was defined by the waist being very high; sometimes just under the arm, was about half-way to the knee and those worn by older girls had a matching panty that was full and meant to look like it was worn over a thick diaper. That was 30 years before they started to become trollopy in the early 1980's

buy a pink, puprle, yellow etc onesie than buy iron on patches or buy the iron paper for hte printer, print out her fav. character and iron it on the onesie.. often much cheaper than buy one with tehd esign on it from ebay.. and most of those have done just this.. ironed the design on a reg. onesie than charged u and arm and a leg.
