I know I'm a bit of a lurker on here, I rarely come on here.

But I would appreciate some advice on this topic.

My little girl/wife and I are still just starting out with this adn I want to do this "right".

She wants to wear diapers, but since both of us have no experience with babies we have no idea of how to diaper anyone.

It's pretty common sense I suppose but since she's an adult woman, are there any specific things I need to do watch out for?

Do I use baby powder? On her? In the diaper(not on her)?

Do I need to watch out for infections....??

I don't want to cause anything uncomfortable to happen....

you will need baby powder. you will want it to keep her fresh, clean. also invest in some baby wipes, diaper rash, and baby lotion. there will be times where a rash will happen. just apply rash cream and a little extra baby powder.. if she plans on messing her diapers you will want to make sure you get all the mess off her so she won't be cranky or uncomfy after a diaper change. and maybe some diaper trash bags may help a little also

you can do it two ways, either standing up or laying down.

for laying down have her take her pants, skirts, shorts, panties, etc off. open the diaper up and slide it under her to where it will cover her back of her butt well, pull the front up to double check to see if it will be even with the back if not fix it.. pull the diaper down and powder her bottom well and her private. rub it in a little and pull the diaper up taping one side at a time... tap on side on the left, then one side to the right and repeat until full taped up. help her up and ask her if it feels ok or needs to be adjusted .

for standing up powder the diaper and rub it in so it's covered, pick up the diaper and have her hold the back as you hold the front taping it in place securely and double check your work.

hmm.....the only kind of "adult" diapers we have unfortunately are the ones for incontinet adults....that are made to look like underwear.... do you know where we could find some more true to baby type diapers??? my little girl/wife is very small and petite would the largest size of toddler diapers fit her??

i would recommend abuniverse, they seem to always have sales/deals, and if you don't know what to get, you can get a sample pack.. i have bought from ABU about three times and have had no problems

I would recommend avoiding ABU like the plague.

Unless, of course, you want your dollars supporting pedoporn...

Bambino, meanwhile, makes a good product at a good price, and doesn't affiliate themselves with ex-D***er elements.

the whole ABU thing was a fight on here all because they toke a pic from another site so they could show what the diaper looked like. they dont support anything bad...

No, that's not the extent of it.

ABU has a long history of highly questionable interactions with known pedo elements. This was the icing on the proverbial cake, as they say.

unless you wife is proportionally the size of a toddler, as in the same height as well (because proportional means from the crotch tot he belly button) then actualy toddler diapers will not provide a true fit, but that doens't mean they won't fit around her butt and/or hips, just they won't fit the way they would fit a baby..... and they aren't made to absorb the same output from an adult.

ABU has been known to support websites with questionable activities.. this LONG before the whole 'picture' thing in which it showed a child in the diaper product on a website known to sell products to adults for fetish activities..

at any rate... aside from bambino and abu... abri form x plus and dry 24/7's are my favourite adult diapers... xpmedical.com and kckmedical.com sell them, as well as drugstore.com and amazon.com too....

as for diapering a female... have her lie down, i suggest the bed... have her lie with her legs bent up, and her feet with the toes right to the edge, legs spread apart so you can slide the diaper under her. For a true fit when the diaper is pulled up it should come to the belly button, just above it.... with the diaper under her, squeeze powder out from the top of her vagina down towards her butt.... but don't spread her vagina open... just with her legs spread apart.... if you are going to use a cream and powder then put the cream on first... for this you spread her vaginal lips apart, but again don't actually put it up inside of her... just on the outside areas....

then pull the diaper up in front, on one side, pull it so it is flat around her hip, then pulling the back part up, tape the buttom tape, making sure it is angled UP a bit towards her belly button.. make sure the front part of the diaper is flat when you tape it.... if its bunched the tape can come undone... once the buttom tape on one side is done... then do the other side on the bottom..... not tooo tight or it can chaffe the inside of her legs, but nice and snug.... then do the top tapes...

and voila.... diapering done... now before you let her sit up... make sure to pat the diaper and remind her what a baby she is.

wow.....that last description....that is exactly what i needed to know... thank you..... when you say bottom tape and top tape you mean if the diaper we get has dual tapes right?

we got her her first pair of adult diapers, their called "bambino bellissmos". :) a sample pack of two. we are just waiting for them to arrive now they just shipped yesterday so hopefully they will arrive soon. :)

Sarah has some good points and being female, she has that perspective to offer :)

I'm a guy, so all I can offer is the shopping angle. The Bellisimos are basically the tp of the line for bambinos. They are bulky and thick and Hold A LOT, if she plans on using them.

Shopping for diapers is a very personal thing, as everyone has different tastes and desires and shapes. what works for one person wont for someone else. So a starting place for you both would be what the ideal "look' might be, and work around that, or just shop and keep trying samples of different brands. To answer your question about tapes, yes, the majority of disposables for adults will have 4 tapes, (2 each side). Personally, I like this set up better, having worn Depends for years and I really didn't like the 6 tape (3 each side) set up, because the bottom tape was always to low and pulled on the rest of the diaper messing up the fit. But...thats just me, others seem to like that set up....so you have that.

It also depends on how you plan on playing and doing the whole "daddy /little" thing. Will this be an often occurance, or only a couple times a week or is she going to be 24/7 LG? This helps define a budget and such for supplies, for as you may have seen, the sample of Bellisimos are rather expensive. And if she isn't going to be in them for much time (play) then using an extended wear product like these is a waste of money and product. So you might keep shopping around. IF she is petite, then there are many "youth" sized diapers available also, which might work for you both as well. and on another level, there is always cloth...but thats another whole different ball of cotton ;)

So keep an eye out, check pictures and look for something that you both might want to try and play with. There is a L*O*T of stuff out there, and I have shopped around until I found what makes me hapy, it just took some time.

well today Lilly is finally going to wera one of her sample pack bambinos bellissmos. just got finished feeding her, now it's bath time then diaper time. :)

You could try some youth size diapers they might fit her perfect their transition between Toppler diapers and adult diapers also don't forget to wipe from front to back
