Pretty cool! I got a new blu-ray player which does nearly all that (looks like everything except SD cards), but I can also play CD/DVD/Blu-ray (plus custom burns, which is awesome), streaming Netflix, etc, too. Of course, yours was much cheaper! Link: http://www.walmart.com/ip/LG-BD630-Blu-ray-Player-with-Ethernet-Connection/15773575

Guess I bought it at the right time, seems like the price has gone up $10. It's a nice player tho, really fast. Hope you enjoy your gadget!

I bought a blue ray and it is suppose to link to my computer line thru my wifi, but the computer won't recognize the add on I bought, it only wants the one made by the manufacturer.... I don't feel like paying 90 bucks for there adapter.

When I dump my satellite I will have to get it up and running, the sat company is giving me all kinds of free stuff to stay with them for the next few months, then I will dump them....LOL

All though i did buy to many Samsung WiFI cards for connecting DVD's/ Blu Rays/ 3D players/ Recievers and HDTV's and such to the home network , so if anybody needs a Samsung WiFi card PM me it's still factory sealed and fresh and Cheap to anyone that needs it!

yeah and we JUST signed up for netflix this weekend.... we have plans to get a new tv, but the thing is, we have no where to put a flat screen in the size we want... and since this tv has lasted 3 years for a like 20 year old tv we really aren't complaining....

This is why the living room must be designed around the entertainment center, not the other way around.

One option though is a projector and a pull down screen. That can virtually disappear when not in use. And, if you want it really big, it's the only way to go.

I don't know anybody that don't have 83" of wall! Flat screens mount to the wall... now I know you ain't going that big, but come on pull down the porn Sarah and mount the flat screen :P

P.S. I have 6 TV's and aint none of them Flat screens or HDTV, most are really old and know what? I love them too. Tired of seeing people with a huge screen with no HD to fill them up right ain't every channel Hi def and when they aren't those TV's are nasty. It's like watching them through wax paper. My 32" living room tv looks just as clear as your 50+ inch non HD flat screen and I'm, with Sarah I paid 20 for mine!

No thanks for the big screens... hell Cable can't even send 1080 yet.. how much money have people wasted for technology for a TV that will be shot before the tech catches up! pfffft. Take your blue rays and shove them up your...diaper.! Yeah yeah I use mine for this and that..but if I can't watch TV at the resolution that I paid for it to do, I don't need it, and don't even get me started on Satellite crap if you live in less than the 4 states or so that don't have rain!! :P

Hate to disagree.. but I must. I have a projector and ~100" screen. The whole point of home theater is to bring the theater experience home*. But for me, that means it needs to me large and loud, not some lame 50" thing that you'd have to sit a foot from if you wanted it to really be as big as the theater. I've never regretted getting this setup. Even years later it still blows me away, and was cheaper than a lot of those "large screen" TVs anyways. And here's the best part.. since the theaters have gone to digital projection, mine actually looks better than the real thing (they have a bad screen door effect). When I want to do something else, I have an old CRT TV.... (the projector screen pulls down right in front of it)

As far as content, Netflix (has Blu-ray) and buying discs works for me.. what's wrong with Blu-ray? With my new player I can even watch MKVs straight off a disc without re-encoding. I have no cable or satellite or even streaming. I don't really have a shortage of content, I have a shortage of viewing time.

*I still go to the theater sometimes on opening nights because for me no home setup can match the fun of watching a movie for the first time in a packed house.

we don't have a living room, we have a bedroom. And one wall has our bed against it, another wall has bookshelves on it, another wall has the window... the last wall is split in have by the closet door, and the larger half has the big dresser, that leaves the smaller half, our current tv is kitty cornered there. Anything larger and it would be in hte way of the closet door. We don't have a typical four wall squared bedroom, its got 7 walls, cause theres a weird like alcove... thats where the bookshelves are... so really we don't have room to mount a flat screen except above the bed, but then how could we see it if its above out pillows!!!!
