If it is the same rubber, that they use in their pants, it smells like a pencil eraser and it is probably about 1/32 of an inch thick. It is not transparent. It a cross between grey and an off white in color

If you are looking for a nice sheet Angelfluffs is as large as King Size has no smell and the rubber is inside of two pieces of cotton, it feels like a regular cotton sheet you would not know it was Waterproof /Rubber unless someone told you, it absorbs fluid and also keeps it from getting on the rest of your bedding by virtue of the rubber inside, i have been using mine for years and have been very happy with it, and the price was a very modest $49.95.

Who needs that? The thing about a rubber sheet is that you can damp wipe it clean and let it air dry. if it is between anything, you need to take it off and wash it since the other material absorbs and holds wet
