I'm just underwhelmed and disappointed in the music she makes. She's actually a very gifted singer and pianist, but you'd never know it with the absolute crap music she makes today.

As an actual classically/jazz trained musician I loathe most all popular music with a passion. Oh look another rosy-cheeked teen shakin' it to the tired old I-VI-ii-V! Why I haven't heard that a bajillion times before! Charlie Parker worked that progression harder than a 5 dollar whore and yet we're still dwelling upon it... sigh

Also Mingus once wrote a song called "Gun-Slingin' Bird" The full unpublished name of the tune was "If Charlie Parker was a Gunslinger There'd be a Lot of Dead Ass Copycats" That's what I'm talkin' bout now!
