  1. @beallucanb, Baby Sophie is correct, I love my diapers and I'm so happy I need them. When I wake up in the morning to a wet diaper many times during the day I will fondly remember it and it will bring a smile to my face. I brought this up because it's truly amazing how dependent, at least I am with diapers and it makes me wonder how others, non diaper lovers make it around during the day. I need to be diapered or close by to a bathroom through out the day. Phil .
  2. Okay so if I woke up tomorrow and no longer had a desire for diapers how would I get by? Not considering the fact I trained myself years ago to need to wear diapers to bed I'm wondering more about my scenario yesterday during the day. I'm going on 2 years of unemployment. I was scheduled for an interview at 3 o'clock and while in town I was going to stop by another place ahead of time to drop off my Resume. At 10:30 an agency called me to come in for an interview. I set the appointment at 1 o'clock. Now I figured I would wear a diaper as I usually do when going out for any amount of time. So to start off I needed to have lunch before heading out at 12:15, drinking of course makes you pee, sure enough after I got dressed I had to pee in my fresh diaper. On the way there I pee some more, I waited outside the agency while they re-opened after lunch and pee some more. Also keep in mind the agency doesn't have bathrooms to use. Now driving to drop off my Resume guess what, more peeing. Then at the final destination some more, then on the way home in traffic once more I had to pee. When I got home over 4 hours later the diaper was soaked. So if diapers weren't an option I would have had my lunch with nothing to drink, suffer in pain while I get a chance in between and find a supermarket or fast-food place to use the bathroom. So I know I'm preaching to the choir, but it amazes me how much I really need diapers! Phil
  3. I second Tranquility. The best night time diaper is a Hugquility! A Tranquility ATN with a Huggies size 5 as a stuffer! IT'S AN AMAZING DIAPER! Phil
  4. Not at all, I love buying diapers and stocking them! Next week I'm going locally to buy another case of Tranquility, this is something I'm looking forward to. Phil
  5. No, the tapes prevent the pins from ripping the plastic, they stay in place. Diaper yourself normally and as you place each tape insert the pin. As Angela pointed out, when disposables first came out pins were used. As much as I can't imagine being without diapers I can't imagine not using pins! Phil
  6. This is the first I've heard of this. I bought my last two cases at the end of the year, I need to buy more in a few weeks. At the beginning of the year I started to use diaper pins. I highly recommend this, they prevent tape popping, thigh tapes from sagging against the thighs and simply keeping the diaper in place. Phil
  7. I would suggest that you write it down. Keep it short and write down now what you like, ex. "I like wearing and using my diapers and I like to act like a baby or child." Start you next session by saying you are very nervous and maybe embarrassed so I wrote it down. Hope it works for you, Phil
  8. So are there any fathers here or ladies that can answer this question? Just seems to make sense, why would ladies who are close to birth not want to wear an absorbent product to contain their water. Phil
  9. Does anyone have the story behind the Daily Diaper photo of lady #2? http://www.dailydiapers.com/content/a002.html I wonder if this is to catch her water when it breaks, is this common. I often wonder if ladies do this, even if you are in the hospital why would you not wear a diaper when you know your water will break. I would think the hospitals would want this. Phil
  10. You guys are so neat and organized!
  11. Kind of makes one wonder what they are thinking. Adult pull-ups with design and color being packaged like regular underwear. Adults who aren't DL or AB's aren't going to parade around with these. Are they going for the ABDL market or trying to get the general population to accept the benefits of absorbent underwear for the masses? Phil
  12. I would like to get some of these diapers from the All Together Diaper Company via Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Adult-Prefold-Diaper-Cotton-Weight/dp/B00015R4S0/ref=pd_rhf_shvl_5 I have a 40 inch waist and 44" hips. The medium is up to 42" and the large is up to 52". Doesn't the gauze shrink? Should I get large? Thanks, Phil
  13. I need to replace my collection of pull up waterproof pants. I wear disposables and use the pants when the diaper is wet like when I get out of bed. In the past I've bought from B4NS and Fetware. Both have quality products but are expensive. I'm unemployed and I need to watch my money but replace my deteriorated pants. Any suggestions for alternative shops? Phil
  14. Diaper Pins! Better than a landing zone. As Angela told me when disposables first came out there were no tapes, they used diaper pins. I've been using diaper pins for over 3 months now, no more popping tapes, no more plastic tearing, no more thigh tapes shifting and rubbing against my thighs! Some times the first approach to something is the best way!
  15. There was a question of how many diapers do you use in a day in the Depend woman's forum. Please answer the Poll only if you are diapered ALL day. The Depend forum range seemed to be 3 to 8. I wear a diaper at night that I can wear typically 10 hours and up to 12 hours. This is a Hugquility {Tranquility with Huggies Overnite}. However I drink a lot {water and soda} so for me to go 24 hours would require many diapers. More so the problem is wearing a wet diaper and the fear of leaks, when I get up in the morning I put on plastic pants until I remove my night diaper. When I go out for job interviews, shopping and movies I'll wear plastic pants but I don't want to wear plastic pants all the time. Phil
  16. I tore apart my bathroom last Saturday to put down a ceramic tile floor. I'll probably won't have it back together until this Saturday {thanks Home Depot for wrong info!} So I'm using another bathroom in the house that is used by another. I miss my Bidet so much! Really, once you go Bidet there is no looking back. Just seems so uncivilized to wipe! I feel dirty and I'm sore. Phil
  17. Has anyone received a message from mommy@abyzone.com{DPF forwarding}? I haven't opened it, worried about nasty stuff. Phil
  18. Yes, I've used size 6, still have some. Since they are bigger I can stretch them over me a little better but the total absorbency seems to be about the same so I stick with size 5. Phil
  19. This bathroom is my private bathroom, I keep a towel on the tub to pat myself dry. For anyone who hasn't used a Bidet, you don't know what you are missing! If you got mud on your car, what would you use to wipe it off, a dry sponge, a wet sponge or a hose? The water pressure on your butt is adjustable. Another way to think about is, what makes you feel cleaner, a sponge bath or a shower? Phil
  20. I know this might be off topic but I want to share this with everyone. This is also something that can be easily discussed in this group. I bought a Bidet attachment. Those of you in Europe and in Asian countries obviously know of the Bidet already. As I understand, most Americans get exposed to the Bidet when traveling. I'm blown away how backwards we are in America with bathroom hygiene. You would think after indoor plumbing a bidet would have been a standard! I went to Lowes and Home Depot and there was absolutely no choice or even for an attachment. Now I don't want to insult or start a discussion about wiping, but I can't understand how anyone can feel properly clean with dry toilet paper! For 26 years I've used wipes and in recent years used foaming rinse cleaners with wipes. Now I'm able bodied and I'm not overweight so I'm not restricted in movement. I go so far as to stand with one leg on the tub and bending over to clean myself and it takes so long to get clean. So realizing the Bidet might be the answer, I bought the Luxe Bidet MB320 Double Nozzle Fresh and Warm Water Spray Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment from Amazon for $87 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KKRCGE/ref=oss_product I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's unbelievable, how did I survive without it? So far I've found that 95% of the time I don't need to wipe. It's so simple, after your bowel movement turn the temperature control dial and pressure control knob and the Bidet spout cleans you, that's it. It's amazing after a bowel movement you feel as fresh as after a shower. I keep a towel on my tub and I pat myself dry. There's another spout that is for female use but I use this too especially after wearing a diaper. I can't wait for the summer to just sit down and set it to cold to freshen up. You can just hook up the cold water to the toilet inlet or also add the hot water to the Bidet. I did this by drilling a small hole in the sink cabinet. Hardware is supplied, you need a wrench and teflon tape. If you have some weird shut off valves you might need to run to Home Depot to get some adapters, I needed to do this but it was simple. Finally, please consider this, it's cheap, easy and you wonder how you lived without it! And if you have IBS like me this will help during those times. So if you any questions or need help I'm here, I hope I convince a few people here! Phil
  21. Same here MunchKitten, Tommy violated my privacy!
  22. I never thought of the gel with women getting UTI's. I'm a male and I've had 2 UTI's, man that's the pits! Anyway, again 5+ years into using the Huggies Overnite as stuffers, the swollen gel is well contained. Just don't slit in too hard. I often find the gel swollen out between the slits. The Huggies swell so much you can feel that pressure in your diaper. This pressure just keeps everything in control. Phil
  23. Yes, OpryMills Mall If you are worried about leaking, wear a good diaper with a stuffer and plastic pants with a liner. If I had to use the bathroom I would miss a good part instead of boring part. If I had to go once maybe that would be okay, but I would need 2 or 3 times. Plus the anxiety not being diapered at a movie would be greater. Phil
  24. I can't remember the last time I went to a movie without a diaper even with family members! Yesterday I went to see Avatar in 3D at the local IMAX theater. I went with my adult niece. Since I wear diapers to the movies all the time and knowing this movie was long, 2:40, it was obvious, get diapered! I wore a Abena Form-X with plastic pants. The last time I went to this theater was over 10 years ago. It's attached to a Mall and they made the announcement before the beginning of the movie that the restrooms were at the main theater. So the reason I wear diapers to the movies is because I hate missing part of the movie, this would have been more time lost. I would have needed to go to the bathroom 2 or 3 times during the movie, I really flooded the diaper! Phil
  25. If I added my comment here, instead of acknowledging or should I write, just to stop and think about it for what it's worth. In this 'unpolitical' correct world I would be called a racist!
