calmoseptine and powder between most every diaper! sometimes for a light diaper between a soaked overnight diaper and a shower i just wipe and powder.
the cream really helps with skin health and stops any itching or irritation that happens sometimes under my diaper. which is honestly incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable. this happens especially when i just change and powder.

ooo yummy! but i'm content with having two or three of them and then forgetting about them until the next go-around. who knows what those extruded things are made of?! lol

the other day i was home wearing a boosted megamax, a PUL pocket diaper/cover and a t-shirt. only thing i heard in my relatively quiet house was a faint rustling. wearing nearly anything over my diaper silences it nearly completely. my covers from nicediaper are a PUL outer shell with a soft bathingsuit liner-like material inside, so maybe the extra fabric has something to do with it. i also have a bunch of gary active-wear pants, and they make more noise against a diaper than my PUL covers. maybe rubbing materials have something to do with noise levels. could be some interesting experiments lol

bit of a process for me. one that's been honed and perfected for me over the years lol
1- choose and fluff diaper (add booster if desired), fold in half loosely and place on bed (i change in the guest room currently)
2- remove old diaper and wipe diaper area (if needed)
3- glove up! (any inexpensive disposable gloves should do, i have some vinyl ones i kinda like)
4- apply cream and powder to diaper area, make sure to powder all cream covered areas
5- remove gloves (cream and powder do not agree with tapes!)
6- grab diaper, unfurl and position behind me, between my backside and sturdy vertical surface, leaning against the wall, pinning diaper in place
7- bring diaper front up between legs and make sure front and back of diaper are even-ish
8- bottom tapes and
9- add more powder (if wanted)
10- top tapes
11- put on diaper cover/plastic pants, adjust clothes
12- put away any paraphernalia, bag up dirty diapers/trash and go on with a diapered day!

my favorite for a long time is/was the total-dry ultimate boost-up. it's contoured, long, and holds over a liter! only reason i stopped using them is no where i've found that takes fsa has them. some more digging is needed. currently their website lists them at $63.44 for a case of 104 for a total of $.61 each... so not too bad. i still have about 2 dozen of them, but i do want to get more since they are so good.
my current favorite is the northshore XXL contoured booster. it holds about a liter, too, but it's just a much bigger booster. the total-dry is a strip that fits within the leak guards, the northshore is basically a diaper without the sides, waterproof shell and tapes lol it's big! but it's incredibly comfortable!! the padding is all over so you don't get weird feeling bumps or spots or anything, and they wick pretty well too. i use them for my weekend overnight diapers, but also for anytime i feel the need for more bulk. price isn't terrible, either. they're $106 for case of 120, or just $.88 each. my current stock is still good at over 100 right now lol

i'd say come to new jersey, but high taxes and bureaucratic red tape are major hurdles. also we were named in the bottom 10 states to own a business lol
off the top of my head, i'd have to say texas. it's pretty central of a location, lots of ways in and out of the state, plus low taxes, less red tape, and low(er) land costs are always good. texas is experiencing a major economic boom right now, so my vote is for texas!

my mom has an original artari up in her attic with at least two dozen games.
i haven't really been into console games much, but my little brother loved them. he had a playstation, ps2, and i think one or two more. he's not much of a gamer now, but his consoles are still somewhere.
within the last few years, i have bought a few little things i feel kinda silly talking about lol i got one of those little 8-in-1 or how-ever-any arcade game things. it has a few versions of pacman, digdug, galaga, a race car game, and some others. then when the local toy-r-us was closing, i got another little one with about a dozen or so atari games on it. i haven't played that one too much, but it's ready to go. and finally (and one i'm most proud of) is another atari with two controllers that looks like the old console with about 200 games on it! got it for $30 clearance at wal-mart lol. i do want one of those little NES consoles with the big mess of games on it, but they rocketed in price. still, maybe one day.
i like the old games. not because i grew up playing them, but because they are short but satisfying games. which makes them more fun to play with friends and beer.

honestly, being that sort of diaper trained is a goal of mine. while diapered i don't want to be bothered by little things like needing to pee. i'd much prefer to just let go and let the diaper do what it's there for. but also when i'm not diapered, i don't want to have accidents and suddenly feel a warm and wet sensation running down my leg or pooling under my butt lol.

way back in college, a bunch of us were together drinking and someone decided it would be a great idea to do prank calls. remind you, this was way back before caller ID was widespread and standard, so we were good in that sense. anyway, one of the calls was to a local hotel asking if they would be ok with someone with anal leakage. the guy on the other end seemed just fine with it, said they would easily accommodate and take precautions, and basically came off to me that this wasn't their first inquiry with the topic. then the call took the prank turn, and they hung up first lol i like to think the hotel guy got a chuckle out of it lol
....yea, we were dumb kids lol

When a new diaper comes out, I usually wait for a few reviews. If the reviews are good, I'll try a sample. If the sample works, then I'll try a pack. If the pack works...well then I've found another option to add to my list of great, reliable diapers. Diapers are too expensive for my wallet to play around with willy nilly. ?
this!
generally for me, it's about 3-5 diapers with minimal or zero leaks. by then i hopefully have a handle on the feeling and sensations when it's about to leak. plus a good plastic pant is a must for the first several trials.

i prefer non-printed diapers, the AB prints are definitely cute, but not for me. the colors from northshore are fun and nice, and i'm looking forward to buying a fun variety case or 3 of colors once i run low enough to warrant another order

at first, getting used to everything new would be disruptive. new routines, messing in general, carrying around paraphernalia, some wardrobe changes, and of course accidents, leaks and such.
but eventually, probably not all that disruptive. g/f knows i wear already and is supportive of my diaper wearing, my friends would be supportive and/or wouldn't care, family would probably be the same way (except of course some ribbing from the siblings). the biggest thing would be financial disruption. unless it's for medical reasons and not some sort of dare, coercion or wager, then like was said before, insurance would (hopefully) at least take the lion's share of the financial burden.

before i moved out, i hid my very meager stash in some non-descript box tucked back in my closet. it worked for the time, so yea.
currently, my much more substantial stash is spread out between boxes of diapers in our attic, and some totes and closet in the guest (changing) room. however now that the house is finally starting to come together after six years of being here (lol) i'll have to move my totes somewhere else soon enough. but until then, it's all good

i have a few in my years of diapers. just family, no friends have caught me yet.
first time was when i was very very young, like under 5. i snuck into my little brother's room during the night, put on a pull-up or diaper (i don't remember what it was), used it, and then promptly fell asleep under his bed (don't ask me what i was thinking with that lol). i was found the next morning by one of my parents, mom i think. i don't remember much else besides feeling embarrassed and diapers were out of my mind for the next decade and some years.
next time was years and years later. it was after college, house was empty (which was rare at the time) and would be for some time, so i took the opportunity to diaper up and putter about the house. i was in the kitchen in my bathrobe and diaper getting breakfast/brunch finished cooking and my aunt walks in the front door. catching me dumbfounded in the kitchen! she had the habit of popping in now and again to drop off this or that, and that day she popped in earlier than usual. sometimes it makes me wonder if she was checking up on me making sure i wasn't doing anything i shouldn't be doing. we hugged, chatted a bit, she seemed mildly suspicious of why i was robed in the kitchen, so i ran upstairs, rustling lightly as i went to get dressed. i'll never know if she thought anything regarding diapers, and i don't want to bring it up, even if she remembers that day at all lol
several other times i was "caught". i was home alone and thought i would be for hours, but a surprise visit from my aunt or uncle, or someone would come home early would cut my diaper time short. luckily, my hang out spot was the basement, so a quick strip and stash and i was presentable to my family once again. or i would just turn off the tv and lights and hide among the clutter that we had down there until i heard the door shut (honest to God! lol). so that happened so often that diapers actually became a source of anxiety and stress! and because of this, i went at least a year and a half not wearing at all!
some time after that, siblings moved out, went to college etc, and house activity quieted down a bit, diapers crept back into my life again as a source of happiness and relaxation instead of the source of stress and anxiety they once were. i started wearing again mostly at night, and found once more what was missing in my life. also i got a girlfriend! lol long and short, after we were dating for a few months, she found a job in her field of study literally up the road from my home lol. she worked third shift and would stop in for a while after her shift ended. well, one morning, i was in my bed, wet diaper on, and she comes over! i wasn't expecting her that day, but there she was! she came up to my room to get me moving for the day. she hopped in bed for some snuggles and i'm kinda freaking out lol. i haven't told her yet at this point, and telling your s/o that you like wearing diapers while wearing a wet diaper is probably a bad idea! lol. so we come up with a plan for the morning, she pop back downstairs to get my laundry, i strip off the diaper, stash it somewhere and hop in the shower in record time lol. crisis averted!!
within a month after that incident i come out to her about my diapers, which she happily accepted as simply another facet of what makes me the guy she loves. years later, we've gotten a place of our own, we're still in love, and i'm in diapers as often as i want!

currently a semi-dry seni-quattro! just changed out of my overnight super soaked blue megamax boosted with their XXL contoured booster (my absolute favorite combination!). i felt the mega was about to leak (but it probably wasn't) and i want to shower and re-up my megamax again within the next hour or two. so just a quick, light duty diaper until then
i know i say it again and again, but the switch of textures and weights from the cool, heavy, slightly foul smelling diaper to a new fresh, warm, light, fluffy, sweet smelling diaper is almost magical to me
-
when it's just me and the critters - t-shirt, diaper, and diaper cover. also i keep my shorts/pants close at hand incase of puppy potty break or unexpected knock
" with g/f - t-shirt, diaper, diaper cover, and shorts/pants. she accepts my diapers, but i still don't like flaunting them in her face.
when it's cooler in the house i keep the pants on regardless who's home. plus i do have my fleece jumpsuits to keep warm.

my dad introduce me to the hobby when i was still in diapers (well, the first time i was in diapers, anyway lol) we started with the classic wooden brio trains (my mom still has them somewhere, i think), then up to some neat plastic G scale battery powered trains, which i know are still in my mom's attic, and finally HO scale!
he's no longer with us, but the trains still are. he collected on and off through his life. not a big collection, but a few things. some buildings, a few cars, some locos, and a bit of track. i don't remember exactly, but i do remember having a 4x8 layout in "my" first house. i'd constantly be running trains, rerouting track, wires, buildings, and more running trains. and all this before i was 5! then we moved. the layout was packed up and torn down to get reborn in the new house as a new permanent layout me, my dad and little brother built. new track, locos, cars and buildings! i was thrilled!! then a few years of having fun with it, my dad passed and we had to move again. a couple years and a couple moves later, my mom found our new home, and the trains went right back up in the basement. cleaned the track, some fresh wiring and trains were running again! eventually, after many years of running, i wanted to make a new layout. dad's old layout was taken down again for the last time (but it's still there! the track is still on the board! just needs a few new pieces, a clean and some power and it's off again!), the basement got rearranged and a new bigger layout went up. an 8x8ft "L" shape this time. much more complex than the last. with a long tunnel, a big bridge, elevated line, houses, mines, landscaping, mountains, electric switches and a bunch of other things that made maintenance more of a chore lol. but i loved it all the same! that one lasted several years and many basement floods (less than half an inch of water, but enough), some time of disuse, and the emergence of a new interest, it was time for the layout to evolve again.
everything was torn up, cleaned off, boxed up (temporarily... at first) and another smaller, more simple layout was built just a bit over from where this one was. it was a 5x10ft loop of two tables connected by boards. minimal elevation changes, no tunnels, level bridges, a passing siding with a small yard. i had the track laid, weathered, running nicely, not perfectly, but close. then.... another flood happened. everything on the floor under the layout not in a plastic tote or protected went onto my layout.... and there it stayed, because... reasons. frustration, depression and disinterest from me, out-of-sight-out-of-mind and no clue how to proceed with the now yearly flooding from my mom. new hobbies arose and took over, schooling came and went and life went on. and now.... still nothing! lol
i moved out! wrapped most everything up and took it with me. all my fancy steamers, cars, buildings, unfinished kits and all my scenery stuff came with me to my new house! sadly, i know i'm probably not going to have a layout in the near future. i've taken over too much of the house from my g/f, and she needs her own space to do her crafts and activities, too. once the basement is done (currently a semi-permanent workshop for myself), that space becomes a communal hang-out spot, and my tools and stuff move out of there to my soon-to-be workshop elsewhere in the house. regrettably, as large of a space as the house is, there isn't room for a good sized trainset. but i'm ok with that. i have enough other stuff to play with and work on, some of it is train stuff. building kits to put together, paint, weather and scenic, engines and cars to clean, tune, upgrade and weather. so they're not entirely gone, which is a good thing.
but enough about my trains lol congrats lonesomelamp on the new hobby! it can quickly consume your free time, space and money, but it's a fun ride!

mini's for tabletop gaming - don't play, unfortunately. i have i'd say over 200 in various levels of finishing, most still packaged. i think they're neat!
tools - he/she who dies with the most toys, wins! lol also i'm a craft-y/build-y kinda person, i love to make things, and some nice things i see and want, i can't afford, so why not build them!?
firearms - mostly i gravitate towards historical/blackpowder, but i do have various modern guns (no black rifles. they're neat, but not for me)
swords etc - the g/f and i are big lotr and fantasy fans (i'm more historical than her) so we frequent renn faires and sometimes buy sharp, shiny things
whisk(e)y - i have about 30 or so bottles of various levels of finishing and origins (irish, scotch, bourbon, etc) i've gathered over the years
beer - at last estimation, i have about 100 or so bomber bottles of beer, mostly heavier stouts, barelywines, wee heavies, and some others sitting in the basement

i agree with @rusty pins and @ValentinesStuff on snap placement. i've had onesies with snaps right in the crotch, and they are simply uncomfortable. the snaps rub and bunch up and sometimes pinch, it's just a pile of metal/plastic between your legs, and they can be kinda tricky to get to, especially with a full, heavy diaper. so a higher/more forward position is a must.
also a preference that i have - rompers. i prefer the extra leg covering, and also the extra material holds my diapers better than the slim, little crotch of onesies. i've had happen on many occasions the slim "classic" onesie's crotch slides up into my diaper, wicking wetness and making a mess. so i don't buy or wear the slim crotch onesies anymore. babykins makes a gusseted romper with an extra panel of fabric between the front and back of the shirt. this moves the snaps forward and up, and adds more support for the diapers. tykables makes a romper too, but they just snap the front and back panels together, putting them right in the middle of the crotch which can get uncomfortable, especially with a super saturated and heavy diaper.
-
i've told my g/f a few times to get one! but everytime it's a solid "no!" from her! but it's not for her tossing and turning or whatever, it's from the dog! ....and me lol
last year we got a pooch, he's a little 20 lovable mutt, but he insists on snuggling up as close as canine-ily possible to her and pushes her so she's basically half on and half off the bed, clinging on to the sheets for dear life and not getting much sleep in the process. she also insists he sleeps in the bed "because he's soooo cute!!!" (and he is lol). if she just got a good, solid bed rail with a few pillows or thick blankets pushed up against it, she'd be snoozing pretty on the bed every night. i'm basically a log and stay where i fall asleep, with minimal movement most nights. he might push off of me and towards her, but i don't move lol
-
B, definitely B.... which is what i already do most diapered nights
-
let's see.... finish basement reno (building a medieval-themed tavern/bar. just kind of how it came to lol so far it looks great!), furniture for basement, built-in shelves in the living room and guest room, attic storage shelves, shed storage organization/shelves, bathroom tchotchke shelves (lots of shelves!!), upgrade basement 1/4 bath to 1/2 bath (adding a sink, better lighting and expanding the room), clean clogged downspout, rework downspout outputs, work on radiators throughout the house, kitchen cabinet facelift, crown molding in bedroom, headboard for bed, some more shelves in the bedroom, replace ceiling fans (just old and look crappy), new outlets in attic, porch, kitchen and basement, copious amounts of gardening, radiator covers for living room, dining room and bedrooms, firepit plinth (for easier mowing and won't light the yard on fire), porch curtains... i know i'm missing a few more lol but life, finances and procrastination have a way of popping up
-
mostly at home. i've been toying for years for wearing at work, but never pulled the trigger on that, been too nervous. i've also been wearing out of the house more often, which i'm kind of proud of
mostly just outside with the pup and in the car to pick up food, but it's something!

Does it get less sexual?
in Our Lifestyle Discussion
Posted
i think for me diapers were always more comfort than sexual. yes, seeing a lovely lady in a diaper is a turn on for me, and have (and do) pleasure myself in them, but it seldom was the main focus. it has fluctuated as the years went on, of course, but it has always been more focused on comfort, relaxation and happiness than as something sexual.
i heard it said best on the love in brief podcast (highly recommend, btw) in an episode where they focused on the diaper lover aspect of ABDL, their guest said it best:
--when i was younger, diapers were more viagra, and now that i'm older they're more prozac--
to which the other guests whole-heartily agreed! as do i! but for me it does seem to fluctuate depending however i'm feeling.
