Pads are exactly what they are. I do not wear nappies well not most of the time. I am supplied by the NHS Continence service anotomically shaped large incontinence
It took about 6 weeks for my referal to the continence advisor to come through and about the same time for my urologist appointment too. Once diagnosed though I was soon allowed free pads on the NHS although I only get a limited amount and if I need more I have to buy them. Ebay is a good place for bargains.
Always happy to chat to other adult bedwetters. I think there are far more of us than we will ever know. I was a chronic wetter as a kid and a teenager and wet most if not every night again now.
Growing up I was always known as the fat smelly kid who wet's his bed. Truth was I probably stank of pee most of the time. I slept soaking in it every night and we didn't have a proper bathroom let alone a shower. I could only get a bath once a week in front of the fire in a tin bath with all the rest of our family.
I have no choice and it remains for the most part quite plesurable. Accepting my incontinence and becoming somewhat DL was the best thing I did. It helped me a lot.
It only happened once after my incontinence started. I don't know whether anyone saw my wet patch but that was it for me. Incontinence pants, pads, nappies or whatever but no wet pants in public thank you.
I tend to drip and dribble all the time. I used to be very concious of it but now don't really think about it until my pad or nappy is heavy and needs changing.
I don't get errections well not proper ones any more it is another diabetic related problem so I can't point down and stay down all night. That said leaks do happen when I wet heavily. I have a kylie on my side of the bed which soaks most of it up and I remain comfortable and usually unaware of anywetnes outside my nappy until morning.
It's true sometime your bed will get wet but if it is well protected it isn't a big deal. Sometimes I leak at night but sheets wash and my kylie soaks most of the wetness away and I stay comfortable and sleep through till morning.
If thats you then no one will know from the fron't How about the back? I think anyone could tell with me if they looked hard enough but who cares. I'm incontinent and ned to wear protection or have wet pants.
I was punished and humiliated for my constant bedwetting as a child. Having my face riubed in my wet bed and being belted for it was a regular occurance as well as being made to sleep in the same unchanged wet and smelly bed for several nights in a row. It wasn't until I was in my teens it was finally accepted I probably always would wet the bed and was left to deal with it my self following an embarrasing visit to the doctors and a referal to the continence nurse.
I became incontinent mainly due to my diabetes. At first I hated it but once I got over the stigma I discovered I actually enjoyed it much as many who come on here do. It can be very inconvenient at times but on the whole it has made me a better person.
