  1. Sorry that you're going through this. It sounds like you're doing a fantastic job, though. Going to see teachers and to a tutoring center is exactly what a fantastic student does, especially this early in the semester (speaking as both a teacher and a student, here). So your profs appreciate it, I'm sure.

I wish I had some advice for fighting with yourself, but I'm afraid that I don't have the same experience with anxiety/depression. I guess I mainly wanted you to know that I read this, and that I believe in you!

  2. I get it also! And, I have a few.

Yesterday I sat down at my desk, and for some reason my chair was at a higher setting than usual so if I had my foot in a certain position then my feet weren't touching the floor. So that made me feel neat. Also, once I was in the back seat, going somewhere with my parents, and the seat belt did that thing where it locks up. So I was locked in tight and couldn't move forward very much, if at all, so that did it for me too.

  3. Update: I got Tank in the mail. He's ADORABLE but I'm not sure if this lil dude does a good job at cleaning. The suds don't really go through his skin very much (if that makes any sense). BUT, today I had my soap bar in one hand and Tank in the other and that worked great! I think these lil buddies would do better with liquid soap.

  4. Just bought Tank the shark! I'm excited for him to come in the mail, this will make showers much more interesting!

I will say that it was a few dollars more than I would have liked. Also the website gives a 404 error when I try to look at their bundle options, but I really only need 1 and I loved Tank so I just bit the bullet! Yay!

  5. According to Casey, we have a new company, Neovi, that's registered this domain name, NetDiapers, and is copyrighting a diaper design that he has the rights to, and is using a database that he has the rights to. According to the website NetDiapers, a woman named Amy started the website.

So, the WA Business License Records office lists Neovi as being a business in WA, as Casey said. However they don't give the name of the owner.

I don't know how to check out who owns a domain name, but this site gives some information. It's not very useful, however, as it only seems to give out information as to where the server is located, while what we're looking for verification that Jason = the owner of Neovi and that Neovi = owner of the domain name NetDiapers.com.

So, I think that all the tech-y stuff is beyond me, but regardless: a new company is using copyrighted material and databases that it shouldn't be using. Plus, when you read the info on NetDiapers.com it's ssuupperrr corny and fishy. You can only get preorders of a certain diaper? They had experts from Amazon and Microsoft build the website? I don't think so. The site feels extra fish-y because there's even the possibility that the same guy who gave ABU a bad name owns it.

Since everyone else is weighing in on ABU's prices, though: I get that they're high. I kinda want them to have lower prices also, but like I'm okay with paying that much. The diapers are super high quality and are very cute. If you buy in bulk then it makes things a bit more economic, but I know everyone can't do that.

Also, I think that it was a smart move on Casey's part to send an e-mail to his customers. This new company is playing it cut-throat (assuming the e-mail thing is true) by e-mailing someone else's customers, and Casey is playing the same game by giving information out to the people. It's effective, I think.

I thought that ABU only had 2 owners, Jason and then Casey, so yea I suppose this can be hard to track.

  6. Yea, I didn't understand the title either. That is, until I read the posts here. I feel like this is why baby talk is frowned upon (unless it's in a RP or something): most of the time everyone knows what you mean, but every so often someone will use a word (i.e. "whitle") and nobody else knows what's trying to be said.

In any case, I'm glad you had a good time little-ing out, Jaime!

  7. I ordered a few samples from them, one Little Pawz and one Space, a while ago. Normally I go for the plain white diapers, but I was in the mood for something cute and printed. I LOVED the Little Pawz, so I got half a case of 'em =o. So, I don't know how the crinkle factor would be on an ABU Simple, but I doubt it would be more - or equally - crinkly than one of my Little Pawz (spoiler alert: Little Pawz are nice and crinkly!).

I was kind of apprehensive about the price, but they're so worth it in the end. If you want to try it out, get a sample first!

  8. Okay so despite my nervousness and all that I thought I should reply seriously to at least a few points, since I think I'll likely be going!

Okay so like the pink diaper thing. I honestly don't have much of an interest in pink diapers, but like I can 110% play along because yes it would be funny and I'll try anything once! Also - when you say split a case of diapers I assume you mean a case of DC Amour / Rearz? I might want to chip in on that, if so, since I don't really want to buy a 10 pack myself.

And, am I the only person whose not huge on beer? I can do a few types (milk/oatmeal stouts), but I'd need to buy them. Which isn't a problem for me, but I hate being *that guy* who brings his own beer to the party and then only drinks the beer he brought. I can do wine, with little to no preference, if anyone wants me to bring some! If spilling is a worry, then I'll leave the wine at home (or I'll just get a sippy cup haha).

  9. I've caught myself referring to undergraduate students as "kids."

"Kid" can sometimes be derogatory, but I never mean it like that. Most undergrads are just like 5-7 years younger than me, but that's such a big difference in some aspects.

  10. Over here in America, I don't think that I've heard anything positive about Brexit (sorry?). One interesting thing that I did read, though, was that prospective academics who were being offered jobs at English universities were asking to defer their acceptance because they wanted to wait until after the vote to accept or decline the job offer.

Not sure how common that is, but something worth noting nonetheless: even if I am across the pond.

  11. I just got a half case of ABU Little Pawz. Before ordering that, though, I had a sample of 1 Little Pawz and 1 Space. I'm not a furry (or even an AB, so idk why babyish prints appeal to me recently - I also have Tykables), but I much preferred the Little Pawz over the Space. The outside shell of the Little Pawz is just a bit more....plastic-y, crinkly. The outer shell of the Space is plastic, yes, but it's a very smooth plastic. It doesn't have that plastic band near the top of the front-waist where you put your tabs. That's the only real difference in the diaper, I believe that all of ABU's diapers are basically the same with different outer shells.

OFC, if you like the design of Space then it's a great choice! I just wasn't in love with it (and the animals on the LP are super cute)!

  12. Okay, well Wainwright's point is still valid: do not tell the person who sells you the diapers that you're selling them. Because it sounds like you're going to try and sell them for profit. Which, is probably illegal, and also: you're not going to find anybody who would want to buy diapers at the price you're thinking of.

    You have two options:

    1. Stop buying so many diapers

    2. Drown in a sea of diapers.

  13. I assume that you're on some sort of automatic order list, that they just automatically send you x amount of diapers each month. A phone call to them would probably sound something like this:

"Hi, I'm calling because I need to stop receiving diapers automatically."

    "Okay, thank you."

You might get asked your name or your address on file.

IF they ask you "why do you need to stop receiving diapers?" you can tell them all kinds of things, such as "I've gotten a better hold on my incon." "I have way too many right now." "It's personal, if you don't mind me saying so." "I'd rather not say." Those are all perfectly acceptable answers.

You've built all this up in your head.

I'm sorry that your roomie found a diaper, though. That can be a pretty serious issue. You said your roommate is okay with it?
