Badbladder

I started wearing diapers about 9 years ago. I got a disease called intercystal cystitis. It causes painful inflammation and spasms in the bladder. It was a struggle to find Tue right diaper in the beginning. Because of the frequent voiding of my bladder, I expelled a lot of urine! Not knowing about better diapers o the internet, I started using Depends. They are terrible. I was changing diapers every 1 or 2 hours, and they leaked. Unhappy, I turned to the internet. I found some great diapers out there. I don't consider myself a diaper lover, but I have grown to like them. I think they are very cute and I don't mind seeing other people in diapers. I don't mind the printed diapers, but my wife has a fear that I might become an AB, so I tend to stay away from them. Of all the diapers I have tried, my favorite is the Abena X-plus. I also use the dry care max. Absorbancy. I would really like to find something between those two. The Abenas need a softer plastic covering, stretcher leg gatherings, and more SAPs. The Dry Cares are just too thick and bulky. I have tried the wellness and the Secure/Bambino, but I am in between their medium and large on sizing. Is there anything that fits those needs? I have intercystal cystitis, a painful disease that causes my bladder to go into spasms. I will go 20 to 30 times per day. It also numbs the nerves so I lose control at times. I wear diapers every night, due to bedwetting, and daytime during my flareups.

Hi, I have been wearing diapers for 9 years now. I have intersystal cystitis, which is a very painful disease where the inside of my bladder is raw and inflamed. It causes great pain and bladder spasms. I have been managing this disease with diapers and some medication. The traditional meds didn't work for me, but I am taking flomax and another for nerve pain. I joined this site because I wanted to make friends with others who wear diapers and to be able to talk about it openly. I am married and have 4 boys, they all know about my diapers, but I don't talk about it with them. Over the years I have grown to like diapers. I am not a "diaper lover" so to say, maybe a "diaper liker," but out of necessady. I think diapers are very cute and adorable. I enjoyed the time when my boys were in diapers. My youngest (5) was potty trained by age 4 (he took the longest). I have tried many, many, many different diapers and I am always looking for something new and better. I'm hoping that this site will help me with that. I look forward to your support!

Yea! I found someone with the same disease that I have! I also have IC, and I have been using diapers for 9 years. We should swap stories.
