  1. True story? Sounds like.

Here's an idea: any way we can have a separate forum for TRUE Stories / Experiences? Or maybe just tag the topics with the word TRUE? Fiction stories are fine and good, but I especially enjoy reading about other members' true life experiences and histories.

  2. Oh it was bad for everybody, but as a result, we all got pretty resourceful. You wouldn't believe some of the things I tried using for diapers and plastic pants. In addition to the towels and trash bags, I once bought a vinyl rain poncho and tried to make plastic pants from it (a disaster). Another time I bought a big soft blanket and folded that (and this required folding it over about six times) into a "diaper". Another time I bought six pairs of white cotton jockey shorts and sewed them together to make myself "training pants" (and my mother found them in my closet and that was a disaster--but that's another story).

Finally in the 1980s I met the lady who is now my wife, she knew how to sew and with plastic baby material from the Piece Goods shop and regular sized cloth toddler diapers, she was able to make me the first ones I ever had that looked and felt like REAL baby clothes.

Anyway, point is, we all did what we had to do. And now (thankfully) the world is a much better place for folks like us.

  3. We still have to keep the perspective also that just a couple short years ago, neither Bambino or ABU even EXISTED! All there was what was available either on the net or in stores...

    What Duck said.

And taking this one step further, back in the 1970s when I started doing this, there was no web and they DIDN'T have them in stores--other than medical supply stores where they wouldn't sell less than a case and the ones they had were thin and had no "baby" scent and were intended for your 90-year-old grandma.

If you wanted anything "baby like" you had to buy the largest toddler Pampers available and tape 2-3 of them together to make them "adult" sized, or wear cloth.

And for cloth? You either had to buy toddler sized cloth diapers and sew them into larger ones, or use towels.

And plastic pants? Again, you had to go to the medical supply store and get ones that snapped on the sides or else do the "trash bag" thing.

I only went to the medical supply store once. I bought a case of 80 "Disposable Adult Diapers" (that's what it said on the box). They were horrible. After using a few, I ended up just using the rest for pads to put under my butt when changing my cloth diapers.

And when buying those, the guy that worked there wanted my insurance information. Well, I was still on my parents' health insurance and DID NOT want to do this, knowing that they'd eventually get a statement in the mail that listed "one case of disposable adult diapers" on it.

So I refused, and then had to listen to the sales guy go on for about five minutes about "I just don't understand why you want to pay for these out of pocket when your insurance will cover them." It was bad enough being 19 and walking into the place to buy diapers WITHOUT all of that.

Anyway. Point is, even though we only have a few places to buy our stuff these days, that's WAY more than there were back then.

  4. Most all of us, at one point or another, went through the "am I a freak for loving this?" stage. For most, getting older has helped us accept that it's part of who we are, and (as BettyP said) love ourselves for it. And yes, there are lots of women out there who not only will accept you, but who may also enjoy participating.

You may need to alter your priorities -- when looking for a potential woman, focus less on sexual attraction and more on finding one who will be your best friend. If you do that, the sex (and most likely, diapers!) will follow.

    Good luck to you.

  5. Well yeah, sometimes I am a bit of an exhibitionist. But, that being said, I like natural light. But the motel where I usually stay when in my hometown has opaque curtains (this so you can close them at night and people can't see through them if you're in there with the lights on). So without thinking about it, I just get up in the morning and open the curtains. And after a while I feel so comfortable in there, I forget that other people often go walking by the window, down the sidewalk!

  6. Not yet, but on a couple of occasions I've been in a motel room, standing right in front of the window while talking on the phone--in a t-shirt and my diapers--and had people walk by, look in the window, and smile.

In that situation, I figure "people shouldn't be looking in the window in the first place, so if they do and see me in diapers, that's what they get."

Another time the maid came in to empty the trash and I was sitting at the table using the laptop in a t-shirt and diapers. I'm not sure she noticed me, though, as my diapers were under the table.

Once while at home I was in my diapers and a fairly attractive girl was going around the neighborhood selling something. I started to go to the door and ACT like I completely forgot that I was just in my diapers, just to see her reaction. (If I'd gone through with this, I was going to apologize and buy whatever she was selling).

But at the last minute I chickened out and put my shorts on over them--fearing that if I didn't she'd go onto the next house and ask the nosey lady next door "does your neighbor wear DIAPERS?"

  7. Sometimes I go out to eat with my wife / kids. Other times I go to my local "watering hole" and friends drop by. And sometimes it's just a fairly low-key day at home.

One of my best birthdays was when I turned 30. I went to the beach with my then-girlfriend. For most of the trip, she kept me diapered. For a present she gave me a red diaper bag with balloons on it. While on that trip I asked her to marry me and she said yes.

As for resolutions, on my last one I did decide that since I'm not going to live forever, I'm going to spend as much time in my diapers as possible, and become more active here amongst the community. And so far, I've been living up to that one!
