  1. I am pleased to hear that someone got a response from them. They have not responded to my telephone or email inquiries.
  2. I generally wear diapers (cloth or disposable) plastic pants and a t shirt.
  3. Rusty Pins reminded me of what I have stored away. I have some of their boxer shorts with plastic panties attached and two pair of their "Guppies", the shorts made out of the same waterproof material as their panties. I will have to dig them out and take a few pictures.
  4. I rember them well and I still have several pairs of their panties. I also have two pairs of their shorts and a pair of their cloth covered waterproof panties. The company was based in Hopkins, MN and was called Top Drawers.
  5. I recall some of the larger plastic pants, designed for older, over 40lb, children had vent holes with a little flap of plastic on the inside. I think the size was listed as "super" and they came in a variety of pastel colors. I recall seeing them as I got a little older. At that time, my mom was buying Klienerts plastic pants which had a covered elastic at the waist and legs which was one of the earliest versions of the non-wicking plastic pants. (Excluding, of course, the Bittner rubber pants.)
  6. I agree, smell is a powerful sense and one that is often overlooked. Growing up in the 50's and 60's the smell of wet diapers was very common. Additionally, those of us who wet the bed well past the age of 3 or 4 probably remember the sound, feel and smell of a rubber sheet. Mine was always just under my cotton sheet, rubber side up to provide maximum protection. The plastic pants which I wore, along with diapers, had a very distinctive odor when new. I remember discretely checking out the beds of my friends to see if they still had a rubber sheet. I could sit on a bed and almost always tell if it had "protection".
  7. Thanks to both of you for replying. I am familiar with ACD and use some of their products. This trip came up fast and my supply of disposable diapers is depleted. Cloth diapers are not great for travel. Again, thanks for replying.
  8. Hi: I will be in SLC early next week. Is there anywhere to buy some better quality disposable diapers in the area?
  9. The replies all contain some good information and suggestions. However, what they all leave out is that being an aid in a nursing home is very hard work for a low wage. It is essentially a deadend job with little room for advancement. Even the professional staff (Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses) tend to be paid on the low end of the scale. Vital, necessary yes, a great job NO.
