  1. My former boss has three children, two daughters and one son. The son is the middle child and also the last one out of diapers. My ex-boss never punished his son or humiliated him or made an example of him for still wearing diapers. His son was diapered both day and night up to the age of four and a half. His son was ready then and grew out of his need to be diapered. He is now a perfectly well adjusted kid of ten years, active in sports and getting good grades. It sure sounds like a better success story than trying to force a child to conform, now doesn't it?
  2. I grew up in the sixties as well. My Father used a strap on us and my Mom a wooden spoon. Everyone of my brothers ans sisters got the strap for serious infractions such as stealing or lying. Mom used her hand or the spoon for quick tune-ups when we just wouldn't take the hint that Mom meant business. I was paddled twice my Parish school. The first time was in second grade for wetting my pants and the second was for the same thing in fourth. I hated school from that moment on and still have ill feelings about that place. It just seemed that no matter your defense, you were guilty and need to be punished. Today it has just gone way to the left of center to where even a mild spanking is vilified as abuse. Family discipline doesn't need to be physical but the child needs to know the boundaries and also know there are consequences for behaving badly.
  3. as for freezing the diapers, I assumed that they were allowed to warm up a bit at least to room temperature be for putting them back on. I really don't know as I never tried this, besides I get a case of diapers delivered to my home every month
  4. Here's one for you I'll bet you haven't heard of before. One of my friends is a nurse practitioner and she visits the elderly in their homes for general health check ups and such. She told me that several people were found to have put their Depends in the freezer. They said it does something to the gel in the diaper and renews it sort of?! They say by doing this, saves them money on a fixed income and makes the diapers absorb more. My thinking is, I doubt they are completely soaking their diapers in the first place, but I still don't if this works. Ever hear of such a thing?
  5. I think you said it all and couldn't agree more. I especially like the comment about being fifty-five!
  6. Sarah those comments made by some uninformed people thing you had to be abused or have a traumatic event happen in your life to be kinky in general. They think that something is wrong with all of us because he already know what we like. I am sure this category fits some people but they are in the minority. Most of us abdl's don't really know what triggered us to like diapers, it just happened and that is how we are wired. Enjoy life be happy wear diapers! Happy New Year!!
  7. Good luck on you wetting your bed but make sure you have a mattress protector on there first as beds can be expensive to replace. You might also want to get your own bed so you wife doesn't have to sleep in it with you. Also just wear diapers to bed and you two can sleep together.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I guess it really doesn't matter. The most important things is that I love wearing diapers. I'm starting off the now year right with having a case of Dry 24/7 diapers delivered here this week. Stay wet my friends!
  9. I go out in public everyday wearing diapers/ I am properly dressed. However sometimes if I bend down to look at something my diapers may be visible to others for a moment. It is not my goal to do so but it does happen from time to time. In addition I wear Dry 24/7 diapers that tend to be more on the thick side. If others are people watching they may pick up on the fact that I am diapered. It's never just a diaper and a t-shirt kind of a thing and never a pacifier in my mouth either
  10. I am not medically diagnosed as incontinent and yet I am dependent on wearing diapers the rest of my life. This is not an insult to those that are at least in my opinion. Whether medically diagnosed or used as a coping mechanism, most of us have a Real need to wear diapers. For the non medical group we Do have a choice to stop, albeit temporary. I do not know of nor have I met anyone who got into wearing diapers that has been able to give them up for any length of time. We have all come back to them each and every time. Someone once told me that we don't choose diapers, diapers choose us. I think that quote is very true. When we do something long enough it becomes part of us so trying to do without a part, does not work. For everything we do in life, there is someone, somewhere that is going to give you a negative comment about. I have long ago decided that I have to make myself happy before I make others feel the same. I am a great person with many good qualities I just have never and will never outgrow my need to be diapered.
  11. Try the yeast infection creams that women use, they worked for me. I had a nasty case a month ago. Ever since it went away I have been shaved clean and shower every morning after sleeping in a wet diaper all night. Use baby powder at every diaper change.
  12. I can't wear my diapers any more than I already do, (24/7)! But I am going to try and meet as many people as I can this year who wear diapers just like me. Hey Thong5 I sent you an email, Let's meet, call me
  13. Here's my two cents worth, It seems to me that all of the newbies wish they were incontinent or could wear more often or wear 24/7. Then there are the ab's and Dl's that grew up in the fifties and sixties and have years on everyone else when it comes to how long they have been wearing diapers. The common ground is that we all love to wear our diapers. I have been in diapers practically all of my adult life. I came out to friends and family yeas ago and chose to wear them for the comfort and security. I too have evolved with my diapers. I began as an adult baby with my girlfriend and then wife where I was changed and fed and spanked and treated like the little boy I so desperately needed to be at the time. Well My wife grew tired of her only child not out growing his diapers so she moved away from the Mommy project and I grew away from being an adult baby. However my desire to be diapered has always been there for me so I am now a DL. I too have had tomes that I hardly wore diapers at all. There have been several times when I thought I was grown up enough to not need my security blanket anymore ans I would pack everything up and step into the adult world. Time and time again I have gone back to what only seems the right thing to do, wearing diapers. My wife who used to think it was possible for me to do, has realized it will never happen. My current lifestyle is to live and work in the adult world while wearing diapers full time. My wife benefits from a more patient and less stressed husband and has the ability to spank me when I am not. It's funny when I have put my mind to it that I am through with my baby things and try so hard to be a big boy, my inner child flexes his muscles and I am right back where I belong. SO do what makes you happy whatever that may be and if it is to be diapered, enjoy the ride because you are among friends.
  14. I wear diapers everyday as a matter of daily routine just because I love wearing them. I am not into baby talk or eating baby food or bottle feedings. I don't sleep in a crib or play games. However I like an occasional pacifier. I own a few onesies and love nursery print plastic pants. So what am I DL or ABish?
  15. I own a house and i have a regular monthly delivery of the same size box every time from FedEx. It is my automatic shipment of diapers. Yes for me they are delivered to my front door and for you the main office but the reaction or curiosity is the same.I find it arousing to say the least as my FedEx driver is female. Be proud of who you are and happy and enjoy life.
  16. I came out to some friends many years ago. I lost one of them because he couldn't handle it.Everyone else was cool with it. Their number one comment was, "I was surprised that I never noticed you wearing them, Why didn't I ever notice them!" Too tired up til 4:30 this morning working on proposals. I will comment further when I can keep from yawning and nodding off.
  17. Nice comeback Bettyquote name='Bettypooh' timestamp='1285845474' post='348629'] I know, but I have to buy the cheap stuff which is gray Seeing it makes me feel Blue And if someone else saw I'd turn Red Unless they turned Green with envy for me having a diaper on when they didn't Anyway..., Thanks for making sure people know about the white! Bettypooh
  18. I don't know if you are aware of this but duct tape does come in white to match your diapers
  19. I ordered a case of Dry 24/7 diapers on Saturday night, they were delivered to my house today via FedEx. Four, eighteen packs of all white diapers. So far I can tell you that these diapers live up to all the hype that you have heard. The coolest thing is when you wet them, they swell out like baby diapers do. I was out and about this afternoon and I was wearing the last one from my sample pack I got a few days before. I was at a Target and walked passed a mirror in the clothing section. Much to my surprise and joy My dry 24/7 was quite bulky looking. I'll bet it was more obvious than usual that I was wearing a diaper, at least that is how it felt any way. I just gotta say I love 'em so far
  20. I am happy to see that there is a place to post comments for Never Grown Up. An AB friend and I drove up to Madison last evening to his shop. I had purchased a romper that was on clearance and I live an hour away so I thought it would be fun to drive up and see him in person. Once there it was a pleasure meeting, introducing ourselves and talking about his product line and looking over all of the fabric samples he has available. He is very knowledgeable and has a true passion for his craft, quite down to earth and easy to talk with. There are several adult diaper sites on the web that will come right out and tell you that they are either ABDL aware or actually run by an ABDL couple. They say this and then want to rip your eyeballs out by charging and a ton of money just for one diaper. You will not find that practiced here. Great quality and fare prices.
  21. I ordered a sample package of three mediums and three larges to see which fit me better. FedEx came this afternoon and the large fit me the best. I already gave the mediums to an adult baby friend of mine. These diapers fit exceptionally well, even better than the Abena xtra plus diapers. These have elastic front and rear. These diapers are all white with a faint colored wetness indicator down the center of the diaper. I have been wearing the same diaper since three thirty this afternoon and I am amazed at what it can hold. Another fun thing about them is how they swell up when wet, just like Pampers or Luvs, Real Nice! Just ordered a case from xpmedical.
  22. Who says the guy doesn't go home and smoke a blunt and beat His wife or Kids? You make it sound like smoking a joint makes everyone mellow. Alcohol can have that same affect as well. ote name='Darkfinn' timestamp='1285179415' post='346275'] I'm with Todd on this one. Nobody says anything about the guy who goes home every night, pounds 12 beers, then beats his wife or kids. But oh heaven forbid somebody chills on the front porch and smokes a blunt after a hard day at work. The only thing in danger there is the food in the fridge. Pot has been shown time and time again to be less dangerous than alcohol, yet our government spends billions of dollars each year trying to stop pot usage and our prisons are overcrowded with non-violent offenders whose only crime was selling a little weed. Prohibition should have taught us that when you make something illegal you lose all ability to control it. Legalize the stuff and tax the hell out of it. It would create new jobs, bring in massive amounts of tax revenue (instead of spending it) and junk-food sales would skyrocket as a bonus. My major issue with pre-employment and random drug testing is that it doesn't check to see if you are high at the time... it shows if you have been high sometime in the recent past. I don't want people coming to work high any more than the rest of you, but employers are going too far if they think they can dictate what people do when they are off the clock. To draw a parallel and make all you anti-drug people see what is really going on. Speeding is illegal, yet 90% of the population speeds in excess of 5MPH at some point or another... many people do it every day. So let's have your employer put a GPS device in your personal vehicle and check it at random intervals to see whether or not you have exceeded the speed limit within the past 30 days. If you have been speeding, you get fired. Now I don't think any of us would put up with that for one second. We would all tell our employers that what we do when we are off the clock and out of the building is none of their business. So what's the difference? In fact, a recently published scientific study conducted by Scientists at the University of Victoria, British Columbia LINK has determined "Urine tests have poor validity and low sensitivity to detect employees who represent a safety risk." According to the study, "urinalysis has not been shown to have a meaningful impact on job injury/accident rates." and "Urinalysis testing is not recommended as a diagnostic tool to identify employees who represent a job safety risk from cannabis use." So why do we bother at all?
  23. There are some people who feel they need a cause in life to justify their own existence. Several years ago I read an article in my local newspaper in which a person from a local born again church was on a crusade. Now before anyone goes and gets all uppity on me about bashing religion, that is not my intent. so this person goes into a local adult store, walks to the back, grabs a magazine, walks back up to the front of the store and throws it down on the counter and exclaims,"This offends ME!" If you don't like what's on TV don't watch. If you don't like smoke filled bars don't go there either and if you find what we do abnormal go somewhere else as well.
  24. Well from what I have been reading, it seems that many here have deep pockets(lots of extra cash). I get a kick out of the people complaining that Attends extended wear or Abena xtra plus diapers are expensive, then I read about someone wearing several disposable diapers and or booster pads at the same time. Now who's spending money? I would say if you get off on wearing a super thick diaper than switch to cloth ones, otherwise By a premium disposable diaper and maybe one booster pad and save your money.
  25. Not to my knowledge. I have an account with them and they send a case out to my home each and every month. They seem to be the same. If you are one who complains that the tapes are weak. I have not had any trouble with mine in years. I also wear their "fixing" pants over my extra plus Abena's, they help a lot. I think the thing with the tapes happens when you don't wear anything over your diapers and are active, the tapes can become undone. Try a pair of fixing pants and or vinyl pants over them, see if that helps.
