Haha, I did not have a problem with the tapes being weak. Actually, I had the exact opposite problem. I wore my first x-plus from my new pack lastnight, and when I woke up, the front of the diaper was torn on both sides, with padding leaking. This has never happened to me once, so I was just wondering if they had made any changes.

Does anyone know if Abena changed the tapes on the x-plus?

Has anyone ever asked their parents to provide them with some pull-ups for bedwetting? When I was younger, I took a trip to wal-mart once with my mother. While there, I informed her that I needed some protection for nighttime. I figured she would just get me good nites or pull-ups, something she used to buy for my bedwetting. After I asked her, I told her I would meet her at the cash register when she was done, something I used to do when she would go to the baby aisle, remember thats where they keep the goodnites. She said ok, and I was off to the games. After about 10 minutes I went to the front of the store. My mom had already checked out so off we went to the car. After arriving home, I got on the computer and my mom began unloading the groceries. After a bit I went back to my room and discovered a brand new pack of depends fitted briefs, complete with plastic backing, leg gatherers and six tapes. Little being said, I was in for a big surprise later that night, not when I entered my room and discovered the depends fitted briefs sitting on my bed, but when my mom entered my room, opened the package and began placing the diapers where we traditionally kept my goodnites when I was younger, around the age of six or so. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else has ever asked their parents to buy them diapers and what did they provide for you after that request.

I was a bed wetter while growing up, so goodnites or pull-ups were the first answer. One night though, while attending a sleepover at my cousins my aunt instructed me to get ready for bed. The code phrase that every bed wetter knows. I went to cousins room to get my pull-up from my bag. The goodnite was nowhere to be found. I ended up putting on my jammies with no protection. Upon reentering the room, my aunt asked if I was all ready for bed. I replied yes and laid down. The next morning I woke up, totally soaked. After my aunt discovered that I had lied too hear, she grabbed me and took me to my cousins room, placed me on the changing table, and introduced me to my first luvs. I was upset, being diapered and all for the whole next day, but that day the love was born. The bed wetting continued and I eventually grew out of the goodnites. Thats when both my mom and I were introduced to our first depends fitted brief. I remember the night. It was in the evening, and I instructed my mom that I was out of my night gear. She said ok and then asked if I needed anything at the store. You will later find out this is how she suckered me into going with her. So off we went to Wal-Mart. We entered the store and headed straight to the baby diaper aisle, thats where they kept the pull-ups. We entered the aisle and I spotted the bag immediately, located on the top left at the end of the aisle, just where they always kept them. I pointed them out to my mom, and she told me to hold up for a second, thats when I knew something was up. My mom continued to scan the aisles but she did not pick up any of the packs. I was getting restless, being a 12 year old boy and spending an unduly amount of time in the diaper aisle. Eventually my mom went and found a sales person, whom she asked where she might find protection for larger children. The sales lady directed us to the pharmacy, she said we would find what we needed there. Coincidentally and unfortunately, my moms friend was the current pharmacist on staff. The conversation started with idle chit chat, then my mom got right down to business and asked where she could find some protection. The lady asked what size and my mom told her. It didnt take a rocket scientist to figure out the protection was for me, so she definitely knew we were there for me. She pointed us to the "protection" and my mom and I walked over. I tried not to look to interested in the diapers. My mom picked up the diaper styled briefs first, this excited me. She ended up putting down the fitted briefs and choose the pull-up style ones. I figured if I was gonna be wearing diapers, I might as well get some real ones, so I suggested that reason to her. I told her the other one fit loose, I was small so it was believable. She asked me which ones I wanted. I hesitated for a second, then grabbed straight for the fitted briefs. She examined the pack and said, these have tapes just like diapers, you dont want the underware style. She responded quickly after, well I guess thats fine, it does not make a difference to me. She then placed the briefs in the cart and we checked out. That night, the first night i would ever wear adult diapers, I was extremely excited on the car ride home, but little did I know the hurdle that lied ahead in the form of a diaper inspection later that night by mom, in order to ensure no leaks occur.

Haha I know. But Im always open to try new things, so where would you recommend I stick my tapes when I fasten up my next diaper.

Below I have written a review about a particular diaper. Feel free to read and critique my style of review. If you have any suggestions about how I could improve, feel free to post. thanks The diaper I am reviewing this week is known as Select Fitted Brief size medium, from the makers of Tranquility. I will start with a description about the appearance of the brief, inside and out, followed by a review on the fit and feel, and sum it up with a performance test. Upon opening the pack of briefs I happy by both what I say and smelled. After seperating the top of the bag, I was greeted by what looked liked 12 extremely large vintage-style plastic pampers. The entire exterior of the brief is covered in bright white plastic, with a yellow wetness indicator running the entire length of the brief. Between the two yellow lines is a string of blue letters, indicating the size of the brief. The diaper also comes equipped with Lycra leg gatherers and four tapes to ensure a secure fit. Now that we know what we are working with, lets get one on. I applied this diaper, the diaper pictured on me, on the floor. I was able to obtain a nice secure fit with this particular brief, courtesy of the four tapes and elastic leg gatherers. The tapes were strong. so I was able to apply the diaper very tightly. The elastic leg gatherers allowed me to secure the diaper tightly around my legs. Excess material is left around the elastic, and when the diaper is on, this material flares out, producing a ruffly appearance, adding to the overall, already very babyish feel. Next I secured the top tapes snuggly against the front cover. Like the lower tapes, the upper tapes provided exceptional grip to the front cover. Once diapered, I noticed that this diaper was on the large side for a medium. The tapes attached around the same area as other diapers I have used, but the front and back of the brief came up abnormally high. In fact the diaper reached all the way up to my belly button while I was laying down. The outer is both soft and extremely noisy, I must also mention that the pad almost spans the entire area of the diaper, producing what I believe to be a nice secure fit. Although this diaper was a little on the thin side, once removed from the pack and applied, the pad puffed up, producing a significant bulge in the front and back. Overall I was able to obtain a secure fit, now its time to see if this baby is up to the test, or on that note, this baby's diaper. I gave this diaper one very severe wetting, and it managed to swallow the whole gulp, . The padding, when wet, initially turns to what feels like a gel-like substance but later hardens. I wet this diaper while layhing down, so the majority of the work was done by the middle and back of the pad. The pad did its job very quickly, producing no leaks. The leg gatherers also proved their worth, no leaks whatsoever. Not suprisingly the diaper sagged signifigantly once drenched, probabely because the absence of an elastic waistband. Overall, I will give this diaper a favorable rating due to frilly leg gatherers, plastic cover, and satisfactory performance. Like I mentioned above, when I initially opened the pack I felt like I was greeted by a gigantic pack of plastic pampers, complete with cute elastic leg gatherers and crinkly outer cover. I am not an adult baby, but I love adult diapers that resemble those original pampers, that we all wish we could wear. But the praise does not stop at the appearance, the performance is also noteworthy. This diaper, despite the fact it is on the thin side, still remains extremely absorbant, not leaking one time. I must mention though, that this brief does not come equipped with a waistband, so anyone who pursues a more active lifestyle might be better suited by another product. I recently posted a review of Abena Abri-Form X-plus diapers and some pictures of me in the particular diaper. Upon checking it the other day I noticed a post where someone critiqued my particular diapering technique, saying it was wrong because I angle the bottom tapes downward. She explained that the bottom tapes should be fastened to the diaper pointing in the upward direction, not pointed downward like I had it done. Am I in the wrong here? Personally, I like to point the tapes downward because I feel it ensures a tighter fit around the hips and butt. And everyone knows a tighter fit means fewer leaks. All said and done, I wanna hear your opinions about the situation, based on your particular method. In the meantime, I will try a diaper with the tapes pointed more upward.

Variables: Male Abena Abri-form X-plus Briefs Johnson's baby powder (we don't want any rashes!!!!) This is a review/one night field test of an Abena Abri-form X-plus size Medium. I will provide a full review of the diaper, and upon request the picture results from the one night field test. My first thoughts upon removing this diaper from the package was that the padding was thick and hard, and the outer covering was shiny, white plastic just like a babies diaper, just how we all like it. The wetness indicator was changed on the newest model to what now looks like a racing stripe going down the middle of your diaper. Upon the first appearance I thought I might just have found my match finally, but appearances can be deceiving so lets move onto the fit, and following that the real world test results and final thoughts. Fit- Tapes, Leg Gatherers and Leg Guards I was really impressed with the fit of this diaper. The tapes, like the padding, are industrial grade ensuring a nice, tight fit. The diaper also comes equipped with elastic leg gathers, made of the same material as the diaper cover. I like how they ruffle out, and the soft plastic felt nice against my skin. Down to business, getting this pupy on and seeing if it can do the job. In order to ensure a secure fit, the diaper comes equipped with four tapes and a rear elastic waist band ontop of the plastic leggings. I was able to secure the diaper very tightly around my waist courtesy of the rear waistband. The tapes on this diaper are very strong. I fastened the tapes starting with the bottom ones. Doing one at a time and trying to secure the pad as tight as possible. As you can see in the picture, I like to be diapered nice and tight=) After fastening the diaper and sitting up, the thickness of the diaper hit me, because the padding stuck out between my legs similar to what the padding does on a babies diaper. The plastic backing also produces that tell tale crinkle that diapers are known oh so well for. All said and done, this is a serious diaper. The pad is thick, the tapes are strong and the backing is plastic, making it the ultimate diaper.

You should invest in a diaper genie, it would take care of the smell and be very discreet.

I wanna hear about times when you got more then you bargained for. When you were somewhere besides your house and you were made to wear a diaper, but not just any diaper, I want you to talk about the most serious diaper you were made to wear. As a teaser I tell you about one time where I stayed over my aunts for the weekend. While there I was still wetting the bed, so I took two pulls up along for the weekend. During the first night, I woke up wet half way through. While searching for my suitcase, my aunt entered the room and soon discovered thereafter that I had wet my pull ups. She assured me it was alright, and took my by the hand and led me down the hallway, at the time I had thought she was taking me to my suitcase, but soon after we hooked a right into the nursery, up on the changing table I went, off came the pull up, ankles up, puff puff, followed by those oh so familiar snaps. I attempted to object but she told me to go to bed, and that you will be changed in the morning. I walked off to my room and got back in my bed. I forgot to mention that it had been dark the entire time of the episode, and when I woke up the next morning I discovered Barney and friends where on my diaper.

I pride myself on my diapering ability, I feel I know just where to tape it to ensure a snug fit that will allow no leaks. Would anyone like to see how I go about doing things, diapers, in this case molicare's and the new baby blue unique brief, powder, lots and lots, liberal amounts to both the skin and diaper.
