Thrift stores are the way to go. Since our insurance won't pay for my diapers, we buy most of them at thrift stores, there is a rescue mission that holds them in the back and sells them to us for $2 per bag or $8 per case. I still have to pay full price for my abena Xplus's that I wear at night but oh well. John

Just a quick note to say Hi and Semper Fi (Kilo 3/7 90-94. I wet the bed as a kid but not while in, but I would buy diapers in town and wear for fun. Now wettinng the bed again and having day time issues also so wearing 24/7. John

That diaper company is located in Sacramento. I have acutlly gone there and bought myself cloth diapers and plasitc pants. They even let me go into their restroom and try them on and when I told the lady the plastic pants were a little to tight she wante dto check them out on my to see about it. I eneded up buying 2 dozen and 6 pair of plastic pants. I believe it is called Tidee Didee and it is located in south Sac. John

Went to Dr on Monday and he told us that I have a combination of things. He said that due to my sleep apena I am sleeping so deep that my body is voiding urine without conscious thought. In that I don't wake up to go. He said that that is causing my body to "UN-potty train" itself, combined with that my body produces more urine than most and this is causing my issues. He gave me samples of VESIcare to try for a month, then I go back and see him. It is not much but at least I know something now. Anyone have anything similar and if so has it improved. Thanks, John

My wife and I went back to see my urologist yesterday and he told us that my tests had come back relatively normal, not visible growths or such and my bladder retention test came back normal. He said my bed wetting is being caused by sleep disorders. My wife and I both asked him about the day time issues and he kept referring to the sleep disorder. I explained that I am still having leaking issues during the day and have had a couple of experience (luckily both at home ) after long (Hour or so) drives where I have flooded and it soaked through my protection (one day was a pull up and other Day a attends with waistband). He didn't seem concerned and said it is my sleep disorder. I am not seeing the nexus between my sleep disorder and my day wetting. He gave us a bunch of medical terms and said basically I have a somewhat weak bladder. I am going for a scrotal ultrasound then the following week back to him so they can run a camera up inside of me to see the inside of my bladder. Has anyone else felt put off by their Dr like this? Thanks SoCalAB, you were right. We just got our taxes done Friday night and I since we itimize, out tax guy asked about how much we pay for medical insurance and what medical expenses we have and we were able to claim all copays and my supplies. I checked with a couple of my partners at work and they go do different guys and they all said same things about copays and what ever is not coveresd such as Aleve and so on. John

I have recently started needing protection 24/7. I use diapers/briefs most of the time except when at work, there I use pullups. I was wondering if we could in any way write the expense of my supplies off on our taxes. Anyone here have any experience with this? I have talked to my insurance and my wifes insurance companies and both say that they will not cover them. There fore the whole burden falls on us to pay for them. Thanks, John

I have been deling with night time incontinece for a while now and have no trouble hiding it, my problem is I recently started having day time issues. I wear a guard at work and am about 30 feet from the restroom so I constantly go there (every 20-30 minutes). My problem is when not at work. Last Friday night my wife and I went to a shooting competition and I tried wearing a pullup with a guard in it. I changed the guard twice and still leaked. I have pretty much accepted the fact that I need to wear diapers when out, the problem is tht I spend one night a week at my inlaws place. (My wife works up in that area durin the week and it is to far to commute and I go visit her on my days off.) I am not sure about how to handle others such as my inlaws finding out. I wear a long shirt untucked to cover the bulk, but still worry about the crinkling noise. My question to you guys is how have you handled this issue, have you told certain people about it and if so what was their reaction? (Did you notice them treatig you any differently) Or do you continue to deal with the stress of hiding it and having it found out? Thanks, John

I have been a bedwetter for a while now, but in the last few months I have started having leakage issues during the day. This has really got me stressed out. I work in a very masucilne and ego driven field and if anyone found out I am afraid I would be thought of less. I am not sure how to handle the day time issues, when at home I use pullups and hit the restroom often, when out diapers and at work I use male guards and really hit the rettoom often (at least every 20-30 minutes). Last night we went to an event with somne friends from work and I used a pullup with a guard in it. I ended up changing the guard twice in about 2 hours and when we went over to a friends house I felt my pants leg get wet and I was afriad to sit on thie furniture so I ended up standing for our whole visit. I really hate the way this is affecting my life. Does anyone have any advice they can offer? Thanks, John

My biggest frustration with wearing cloth is that I run and hike alot so I really large thighs and the seams on my plastic pants would tear after a few wearing. That got expensive fast. If I could find a good plastic pant that would last I would go back to them untill then I am sticking with my abena xpluses. Stay dry, John

I know one of my neighbors kows, a few years a go we had a bunch o fhot air baloons fly over our development (they do this same time every year, well I grabbed my camera and ran ito my back yard to see if I could get any good pics, well there was one really neat one but it was just passing over my house, so I ran out the front door and started taking pictures of it. I then heard voices and realized I was standing in my driveway with only a t shirt and my night time cloth diapers and plastic pants (which that morning as always were soaked) I looked over and saw my nieghbor in her driveway across the street with her 2 young children watching the baloons, she just looked over and waived at me. I paniced and ran into the house. I saw her later and apoligized for the incident and atold her I wore for need at night as I still wet the bed and she was very cool about it telling me that having had 2 kids she was used to seeing wet diapers in the mornings.

I ran out recently after spoending the night at my inlaws house. I was not feeling well and went to an urgent care after waiting 2 hours i starte dto leak. I was about 25 miles from the house and needed to change. The Urgent care didn't have any so I went to a Assisted Living Facility down the road and the lady there gave me 2 tenas to get me home. I offered to pay her and she jsut told me that when I have some spare time, to come back and volunteer withthe elderly there. Should be interesting as she is now well aware fo the fact thta I am diapered. John
