  1. Welcome to the real world. Not everyone is supportive, not everyone agrees, and we don't all have to get along. That is all part of living life.

While this is true and this is an acceptable attitude to take towards certain things, I think that we should be more supportive and accepting here since this is more of a "community" where people come to seek support and understanding and make like-minded friends. It's kinda hard to do that when people are afraid to post their likes for fear of being flamed.

  2. Finding a place to change.

I have a horrible time trying to find a place to change sometimes. I prefer to lay down because I can get a better fit that way, but I know that isn't always possible. Usually it comes down to using a public restroom and I would almost rather leak and wait until I get home than use one. The reason being is not because I am afraid of someone overhearing, it for hygiene purposes. Even though the restroom might *look* clean, it's all the bacteria swimming around that you have to worry about. The Walmart where I work, it is at least a weekly occurrence that someone urinates all over the bathroom or (more often) manages to get/spread feces all over the toilets, walls and floors. Sadly, it happens in the women's bathroom as much, if not more then in the men's restroom. And we actually have a maintenance crew that clean fairly often, so imagine some of these places that only get cleaned on a weekly basis or so.

Yeah, so I would much rather people notice my diapers than have to deal with the bacteria-ridden public restrooms. :glare:

  3. To our wonderful Daily Diapers moderator!

So ahem, *clears throat* here goes...

    Happy birthday to you

    Happy birthday to you

    Happy birthday dear Repaid1

    Happy birthday to you!

Okay, I apologize as that may have been a little off-key, but singing has never been my strong suit.. but it's the thought that counts right?

But on a serious note, I hope you have a really good birthday!

  4. I wear Tranquility ATN's almost exclusively and they compare very well with the Abena diapers in my opinion. The differences are that the Tranquility is not as thick as the Abena and they plastic is much softer on the Tranquility. The Abena's are very stiff in nature and don't conform as well to the body as the Tranquility do. I always wear my Tranquility ATN's with one of their contour boosters and personally I think it holds up as well as the Abena.

The one downside to the Tranquility ATN's is the tapes, which seems to be a recurring problem with a lot of disposable diapers. I use packaging tape to reinforce the tapes on my diapers.. so if you don't mind that, the Tranquility diapers are excellent.. and pretty inexpensive as far as diapers go.

And the Abena that I am comparing it to is the X-Plus since it is the only Abena diaper I have ever even bothered trying.

  5. I honestly don't think anything bad will come as a result of this. If teens want to pose as adults and join... well they do that now.. so what harm is there in creating a support page?

And as DailyDi said, the rules will remain the same, meaning that anyone under the age of 18 will be removed.

So basically things will stay exactly the same except we will have a support page for teenagers. And like TDL said, I guarentee most of the lurkers are underage anyways.

  6. I'm not afraid of clowns, but I certainly don't like them. I don't want one anywhere near me in fact. I also find them rather disturbing and creepy as well.

  7. Speaking of the Huggies jeans, I was out with a guy friend today at a mall and we passed this huge sign that had a baby on it wearing the Huggies jeans. He didn't immediately see the sign, but I did and I couldn't help but chuckle and look away. He looked at me oddly before laying eyes on the sign. He looked back at me and smiled knowingly. Of course he knows about my AB side, but neither one of us commented on that sign.

It was just a funny experience and kinda ironic since that makes two of us that had an experience related to those Huggies jeans today. :P

  8. Well I thought they were pretty funny.

There is nothing wrong with poking fun at politics... just as there are political jokes against Obama, there were jokes against Bush.

Furthermore, he was not igniting a political discussion nor a rant.. he was just posting jokes that had been made by TV hosts and since he put it in the "Rest of your Life" forum, I don't see why he is being flamed. He is entitled to his opinion, just as you are to yours.

  10. So I have just been wondering (from a matter of simple logistics)when ladies are diapered during 'their time of the month' how/what do you use for dealing with the situation. Do you just let your diaper take care of it, or do you use a regular pad/tampon. If so, how do you change if it needs replacing before your diaper does? Not meaning to be vulgar, just curious.

I personally think that diapers make the whole menstruation thing a bit easier. You don't have to worry about any kind of leaks (like you do with tampons) or sitting or moving the wrong way and leaking (like you do with pads. I don't mind the idea of sitting in menstrual blood any more than I do urine. It's kinda all the same to me.. just different color. But then again, diapers are not a sexual thing for me, so it makes sense that I don't mind wearing them when that time of month comes.

-How do women with those insanely long finger nails (>3") pick their nose or wipe themselves without injury?

They just learn to do things a little bit differently than those of us who don't actually have long fingernails. I actually bite mine down to almost nothing (sadly) so I can't say from personal experience. But, while I was growing up, my mother kept her fingernails pretty long and she managed everything just fine.. thought some things she would have to hold her hands/fingers a little bit differently to compensate for the long fingernails.

-How does a bride in a really huge wedding dress (one that looks like an explosion in a cupcake factory) with the long trailing thingy use a toilet (bridal diapers make more sense :/ )?

As already said, they get friends to help them should they need to use the bathroom.

-Why don't women like The Stooges?

I haven't sat down and watched the Three Stooges since I was much younger, but I always loved watching them and I still find it funny when I come across a short clip on youtube.

-Do you know that every guy everywhere is always checking you out... are guys that obvious, or are some guys able to keep a degree of subtlety so it doesn't seem like 'every guy'? (Men are pigs! Known scientific fact!)

I definitely don't think this is true. Different people are attracted to different things and if they don't see anything they like.. then why would they check you out? But for the guys that do check me out, I usually don't notice because I am usually not a very observant person. However, there are times when I am being observant and watching other people and have seen guys check out other girls. Some make it very obvious while others are very subtle.

-Are women just as bad at the previous as men just better at hiding/timing it?

Most women I know are very good at hiding it so you would not be able to guess. However, I do have one friend that will yell out at passing cars and makes it very obvious. Different people, different styles and preferences.

  11. The closest you are going to get to that kind of thickness in a disposable is Abena X-Plus or Bambino.. and you can make it even thicker using boosters. Now if you want a really *really* thick diaper, then cloth is the way to go. However, if you want the bulk without the cleanup of cloth, you could always wear a disposable and then some cloth diapers over top of it. That way you achieve the thickness without the mess.

  12. Kid, not to be rude or mean, but this is an 18+ site. If your profile is correct and you are 17, then you have less than a year before you can come back and join for real and I will welcome you like I would anyone else. Why don't you check out ADISC since it is aimed at people of all ages.

  13. That particular site is geared at little boys in diapers and although the vast majority of the stories on that site are fine... there are some that have pedophilic themes. There is also an entire section dedicated to sightings of little boys in diapers and things like that. And the reason that name is banned here is because if it is mentioned and a search is done on that site, then DD is going to come up in that search. And here at DD we do all we can to stay away from anything with pedophilic themes. We don't want to be connected or associated in any way whatsoever.

Actually that should all be in past tense as the site has been down for some time now. Hopefully for good.
