  1. It's not uncommon. Some babies like to be daddy/mommy, and some daddies/mommies find they like to be baby now and again. In some cases it's because they want a bit of variety or just try it and like it, but in other cases it's because they are frustrated with not finding someone to baby them. Having said that, I've not known any AB's that have given it up completely. Beth

    Heey

Well welcome to the community. I look forward to reading your posts!! Beth
  3. Hey, nice to meet you. Welcome to the board!! Beth
  4. I also believe that this is becoming more common among younger people, mainly because when I first got into the AB scene at about 20 it seemed most people were about 35 plus. Then again, I've never been sure if there was a genuine shortage of young people into it, or if they were out there but still in the closet. In the same way, has it become more common among girls over the years? Beth
  5. Interestingly, Dawkins doesn't so much have a problem with the idea of a creater, rather the idea of a loving God. He considers the idea of a creater possible, although the sticking point for him (aside from no evidence) is that should a creater exist, then the creater itself must have been created at some point. I've even heard him say he doesn't have a problem with the idea of life on earth being created by another and superior race, but again they themselves must have been created. To me, not only do these theories make Dawkins sound more like an Agnostic than an Athiest, but the theory that a creater must himself have been created seems to assume that the laws of evolution apply throughout the universe, we don't know that this is indeed the case. Beth
  6. That's why a belief in God is an act of faith Sarah, as is a belief in (strong) athiesm. Beth
  7. I am unironically against the death penalty and for abortion and do not use logical fallacies to justify that position. Why against the death penalty: Innocent people have been executed in the past and will be in the future. The penalty is not applied equally and it is just barbaric revenge as opposed to keeping the public safe. Since it's more expensive than life in jail I don't see it as in the public interest either, and it also bereaves the loved ones of that convict too. This is far from the state sanctioned killing of a living breathing human, regardless of what that human has done. I find it amusing that many death penalty advocates are against abortion because of fetal pain when the electric chair, gas chamber and lethal injection are all horribly painful. I agree 100%, to my mind a Christian supporting the death penalty is both having your cake and eating it. Call it justice if you like, but for me it's cold blooded revenge, nothing more. Secondly, races refers to species. Races of cabbage. Races of finch. The word 'race' today has vastly different feelings attached to it today than it did in the mid 1800's, and is used differently. Thirdly, describing Darwin's goal as 'justifying one race ruling over another' is so ridiculously and evidently inaccurate that it is difficult to appreciate how offensively libellous it is. Quite aside from the fact that Origin makes barely a mention of human evolution, Darwin's correspondence shows that he explicitly rejected the idea of enforced eugenics. I'm not aware of his thoughts regarding the supremacy of once race over another, but unless someone can come up with some evidence of it then I'm going to assume it has just been made up by someone who doesn't like evolution. As a side point trying to discredit evolution by discrediting Darwin is meaningless, his works may well have been the main contributor to convincing the scientific community that evolution by natural selection is how species came about, but the evidence gathered since then stands up by itself. Correct, Darwin wasn't talking about races of people but races (species) of life. Some people (such has Hitler) have used evolutionary arguments to justify the elimination of people with (what they considered) birth defects, sort of trying to speed up human evolution. But we can't blame Darwin for this.
  8. Nah, you should have left it. You were just expressing your view, it doesn't mean everyone has to agree with you. If I deleted my topics everytime someone said I'm talking crap, I wouldn't have any left on here. Beth
  9. I remember reading about a rich guy that was found dead in his bedroom with a plastic bag over his head and wearing female undies. Imagine what his family would must have thought. They didn't die, but I saw a tv show years ago about a couple that were having sex in a car when the guys back went. They called an ambulance, and the emergency services had to cut the top off the car to get them out. While all of this was happening, the guy was stuck there between her legs unable to move an inch. Beth
  10. There is a theory that we are more faithful to our partners because once we manage to find an accepting partner we'd be a fool to risk that, but I don't go with this thinking. I've known guys into this that have messed about with other women, and yeah you could argue that if their partner finds out she may expose their secret, but most people that cheat on a partner simply don't think of the consequences of getting caught. On another level, when I kept this from my wife for 12 years was I cheating on her? I know I wasn't messing about with another woman, but I was still sneaking around behind her back and telling lies about where I'd been.......it often felt like having an affair. And of course, you still might be tempted to visit an AB nanny, which to me is a form of cheating. I know many of you would say it's not, because you're not having sex with her/him. But having another adult diaper you behind your partners back is to my mind, pretty much being unfaithful. Beth
  11. I dislike the word "Hot Cross Bun" too. Yeah okay, I know it's a bun with a cross on it. But I can't help but feel it makes the poor bun sound angry. Maybe it's because they only come out at Easter, and because they're not here to defend themselves the rest of the year they don't get the respect in the world of buns that they deserve? Beth
  12. I obviously don't anything about that, but why do some people feel the need to create alter egos anyway? Far too many silly mind games on this board now. Beth
  13. Why force a fetish on others? For example, I don't really like seeing someone poop themselves (although all power to you if you do) and forcing it into my face by pooping in front of me in the street is not going to make me like it more. We have to accept that what we do is a minority interest. An interest which most people will at the very least find difficult to understand, even if you could explain it to them individually. Because fetishes are difficult to understand if you don't share them and most people simply don't share our interest in diapers. The op mentioned being "tired of having to stay at home because of not feeling accepted". Well, if you stay at home because you have a diaper fetish that says more about you than joe public......sorry, but it does. I don't stay at home, I have a full social life and I'm self employed. I've said before that it all comes down to whether you control the fetish or the fetish controls you. If you enjoy diapers as one of many aspects of your life, that's one thing. But if diapers are the only thing you can think about and they stop you doing anything else with your life, including going out, making friends etc, then that's not healthy. If the latter is the case, you really need to change the way you see yourself and your fetish, rather than trying to change the way the general public see us. Beth
  14. Just ignore them. What's so funny about your screen name anyway? Beth
  15. When I was about 12 me and my friends skipped school and went to my friends house when his mom was out. We all decided to make toast, but one of the boys left the bread bag on the hot ring and it melted the plastic to the ring. We were all trying to scrape this plastic off, when his mom walked in the door. She went ballistic, mainly because he was inviting friends round when we should be in school, but even worse when she saw the cooker. She started hitting him with a bike chain of all things (she must have kept it aside for such occasions). There he was being beaten by his mom, and we were like "See ya later Dean!!" and out the door lol. Beth
  16. Welcome Dan, hope you enjoy it here!!! Beth
  17. I seriously think some of you guys get too hung up over lables. I like to wear baby girl stuff, if that makes me an AB or Sissy so be it. If dressing like a woman makes me a CD or TV, cool. It's just a label and if we didn't say "Crossdresser" it would be replaced by another word instead. Call me what you like, just don't call me late for dinner. Beth
  18. It's a good point, but I'm with Sarah on this. The only reason some of us think sales staff think AB/DL when we pay for adult diapers, is because that's what we have in our mind. AB/DL is just not that mainstream yet. Beth
  19. Tickling is worse. I can't stand being tickled under my chin, or especially on my feet. If my partner tied me up and tickled my feet I'd probably wet myself......seriously. Beth
  20. Hey guys, I'm not going to be around much during the next few weeks, as I'm busy with my work. Still send me messages and I'll respond when I next log in, but this may not be for a few days. So don't think I'm ignoring you. Take care all Beth
  21. I had a gf that was the worst cook ever (with the exception of Naughty B that is!! ) On one occasion she made custard and when it came to the table it was full of chocolate buttons. I asked her why the custard was full of chocolate and she said "Oh, to make it taste nice". It turned out that she'd burnt the custard to the bottom of the pan, and when she stirred it all the black bits came off. So she poured in a pack of chocolate buttons, just so I wouldn't notice the bits of burnt pan in my desert. Beth
  22. For the same reason that we often name pigs 'Rasher'. I'm surprised you guys even got to see 'Lamb Chop'? Beth
  23. My few thoughts on religion: The bible was written by men (or women), translated into other languages by other men, and further translated etc etc....if you read it litterally you are wasting your time. One of the points I raised above. Even if a book is translated only once, it will lose something in translation. I feel another problem is that many people see the Bible as a single book. In fact it is a collection of books, written at different times, by different authors and in different parts of the World. If God create the universe he is the most amazing almighty being ever....as such, do you think he'd want you (one of his miniscule creations) worshiping him? If you answer that you think he would want you worshiping him....then you are saying God is self centered-as such I won't worship him. If you say "no", I would agree. I suggested above that I find it unlikly that a clever primate on a small planet, orbiting just another star, can be the ultimate lifeform in the universe. Then again, perhaps we are. Perhaps we are the most advanced living thing by a long shot. The question of whether or not it is right to worship power is an old one. Then again, if God had no power what would we gain from worshipping him? Religion was created by man to control man and has killed more people in its name than anything else. The only use I see for religion is as a method of teaching good values and morales to our children.....but you can do that without religion. I recently read an interesting article on Humanism or the Humanist movement and was quite intrigued by it. It was the first time I'd read about a movement that I actually felt I could support and made sense......now I just need to get more information on it! I don't think the idea of religious thought was created "to control man" but as a way for man to understand the world around him. I think that as soon as man became intelligent enough to understand that we all grow old and die, he needed to believe that there must be more to it than that. The idea that in a few years you will cease to exist forever, and in the meantime your loved ones will go the same way, is not an easy thing to accept. It was no easier for our distant ancestors. A dog for instance isn't aware that in 30 years it won't exist, it just lives for the moment. Because of this it needs no God. Another reason for religious thought is that man started to notice that all the best things happen when the sun is in the sky. Crops grow, hunting is possible and you don't get a lion creeping up on you in the dark. Because of this he came to associate light with good, and darkness with bad. The Sun became his first God. It was only later that man found religion was a way of controlling others. Religion has never killed anyone, it's man that does this. For most of history man has used religion to justify his actions, but this doesn't mean holy scripture is at fault. Just man's interpritation of it. "Humanism is a democratic and ethical life stance, which affirms that human beings have the right and responsibility to give meaning and shape to their own lives. It stands for the building of a more humane society through an ethic based on human and other natural values in the spirit of reason and free inquiry through human capabilities. It is not theistic, and it does not accept supernatural views of reality."
