  1. Howdy & welcome aboard, Kebiinu! Hope you'll find lots of interesting topics and people here at DailyDiapers.
  2. Sarah_ab, are you gonna come join us if there's a meetup held in Provincetown?
  3. Maybe a moderator (is that only DailyDi?) can make this a sticky thread, and just purge it once a month?
  4. (duplicate of post from Meeting Place/North Carolina area; please RSVP or inquire there) North Carolina AB/DL Brunch Munch (ain't that a mouthful!) Saturday, May 9 @ 11am Mary's of Course Cafe 301 Brookstown Ave Winston-Salem, NC 27101 http://www.marysofcourse.com/ Mary's is a highly-regarded local spot and serves breakfast all day. I think 11am gives any Charlotte/Triangle folks time to get to Winston. It'll last until whenever we decide to leave, or Mary's kicks us out! Things to keep in mind: 1. Mary's is a public restaurant and the staff and patrons are presumably unaware of the AB/DL community. As such, please be discreet with your clothing and accessories. Diapers underneath, of course, are just fine. If anyone has a suggestion of a more private place we can retreat to afterwards, then folks can bring more flamboyant attire to change into. 2. There's no formal itinerary. This will be a very laid-back event just to meet other AB/DLs (Furries, Incon, etc. are completely welcome) and talk about anything over good eats. We may decide to do something fun after brunch: go-karts, putt-putt, whatever. I'm open for any and all suggestions. 3. To encourage participation, I promise a neat little "care package" for all who RSVP. I won't spoil the surprise and tell you what's in it, but I'm sure you'll like it. I hope many of you North Carolinians (and Virginians and South Carolinians too!) will join us. If it goes well, I'll gladly organize more munches, parties, and other events around the state in the future. See you there!

  6. I actually use diapers as an incentive to go the gym. I say to myself, "If you'll get your butt to the gym, you can put on a diaper before you go!" I know, that's just silly, but it works. I usually wear Depend diapers in an effort to be visually discreet, as people will be walking by your elevated bum while you're on the elliptical or what have you. Noise is of no concern; the din of the gym easily drowns out the loudest crinkle. Enjoy your diapered workout!
  7. Relaxin' clothes: Comfy t-shirt, sweatpants, and a Tena Stretch diaper underneath. The Tena's hours are numbered though, and it will soon be replaced with a european Attends 10 for bedtime.
  8. I'm wearing a Depend diaper---the amazingly thin, regular absorbency ones they no longer make. I know that's not a well-liked brand for most of you, but hey, I'm at work and I want it discreet. It's very comfortable.
  9. Put your mind at ease; it's highly unlikely that the TSA folks would even say a word about diapers in a carry-on or being worn, and they wouldn't pull them out and embarrass you. They've seen all kinds of things go through there and diapers are the least of their concerns. I have travelled by air at least once every couple of months lately and always have a couple of diapers in my backpack. Sometimes I put one on before going to the airport, which means wearing it through security, and I've never had so much as a second glance. More often, though, I'll just wait and put one on in the restroom before boarding the plane. I have wondered what the guy in the stall next to me thought when he undoubtedly heard me unfasten the tapes in a very quiet restroom in the Cincinnati airport!
  10. Pardon my ignorance, but what's an "HNG"?
  11. I think there's good evidence that the body can become conditioned to react differently depending on what we're wearing. For example, I have strong continence when I'm not wearing a diaper, but if I'm wearing one I've noticed it's very easy--almost automatic--to pee in it frequently. Whether that's because I'm conscious of the fact that I'm wearing one, or because my body just can sense the padding, I don't know. I also wear one to bed nearly every night, but haven't had any problems with involuntary night wetting as you have. I've also seen a few comments from parents trying to potty train their kids where they'll say something like, "If I let them run around naked all day, they'll go to the potty consistently, but as soon as I put a diaper/pull-up on for overnight or a long trip, they'll wet it."
  12. You're a lucky man! Was she at all surprised when you took her seriously?
  13. LOL! Okay, there's gotta be more to the story, DailyDi. Where did this happen? What were you wearing? What were you doing at the time? What did the neighbor say after your clever retort? Details, man, details!
  14. Welcome aboard, playfuldiapergirl! Glad to have you here on DailyDiapers. Hope you have lots of fun in the forums.
  15. There is no noise. The diapers go on the side of the pillow facing your mattress. The section view would be: Your sleepy head Pillowcase layer Pillow Layer of Luvs Pillowcase layer Bed
  16. Are you proposing making an adult-sized version of this diaper, storzech? If you truly have such connections/capability, I'd be more than happy to send you a sample to base it on. I am pretty sure I have one of the rosebud Luvs Deluxe for Girls, but I don't think I have one of the pinstripes for Boys. Perhaps another DD member has one? I have a later version with sailboats on the taping panel though.
  17. Heaven-Scent! Get it? Okay, okay, I know, bad puns. I don't know what made me do this, but I just tried it a few days ago and I really like it! 1. Go buy a package of Luvs diapers at your favorite store (Wal-Mart, Kroger, Wallgreens, etc). 2. Take three or four of them and place them side-by-side between your pillowcase and your pillow. 3. Profit!* 4. When you go to bed tonight, you'll enjoy that wonderful baby diaper scent as you drift off to sleep. Luvs can smell quite strong fresh out of the bag, but since they're under the pillowcase, the smell is muted and you'll just catch a pleasant whiff of them every now and then. That wonderful scent (which is the closest thing to the original Pampers scent I've ever found) will waft lightly around you. The size diaper you buy shouldn't really matter, but I always buy size 5 or 6 because they seem most useful for other things and they fit my pillow well. However, a smaller size will get you more diapers for your money. The scent should last at least a week (I've got four diapers in my pillowcase which I put there a week ago and I can still smell them), but you'll eventually have to replace the Luvs with new ones, perhaps on laundry day. Keep the diapers leftover in the bag wrapped up tightly so their fragrance will last longer. * Just kidding about the profit step. Apologies to those of you who don't get the South Park underpants gnomes reference.
  18. Your mom should be worried. She obviously exploited a minor to take that photo. You do feel victimized don't you?
  19. I just tried the XtremeFit version, and while the stretchy sides are a nice feature, the cloth-like cover and tabs that break made me give this diaper... Two Thumbs Down!
  20. A blessing or a curse? There's not exactly a lot of demand (nor respect) for vintage diaper experts or collectors out there, but it's an enjoyable hobby. Stamps would take up a lot less room! Hmmmm...
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! **sings** ...and ma-ny mo-re!
  22. GREAT MOVIE!!! And just fine for a 6-year-old to watch. Have fun!
  23. Yes, tonysplace is correct, it's a European Attends 10, size Medium (thus the M). I believe it's the previous generation too, as the printing on the outside is a little different on the new ones.
  24. Dear leafy, Since I presume giving up cider is not an option for you (it certainly isn't for me!), you're left with two choices: 1. Sit down on the loo when you have to wee, like girls do. -or- 2. Wear a nappy of sufficient capacity to match your cider intake, then don't even worry about abandoning your pint just to go to the toilet. As for punctuation, just press some of those keys in the lower right corner of your keyboard at random intervals as you type. It'll be fine. Yours, Aunt Ultra
