  1. I make a point every Thursday to check how this story is going. Sam is a very interesting character. She's super insecure and defensive about the optics of her condition, she's had these lifelong mental blocks in place to distance herself from it, and now that she's been forced to face that wall head on she's realizing that nobody thinks less of her, and that she's allowed to be vulnerable. She's slowly latching onto Nina as a kind of safety blanket through the process...and now Nina seems to have cottoned on to what's going on and is trying to coax Sam out of her shell. At least that's my read of it? This is a great story Elfy 😁 Looking forward to seeing how the endgame plays out.
  2. Hi friends I've started writing a new story for the first time in years, and I'm currently considering how best to share it. In the past I've just posted chapters as I completed them. I liked that I got feedback along the way, and I didn't like the idea of having thousands of completed words collecting dust in my Google drive until I reached some indeterminate point in the future where I felt it was ready to be published. So, that was my method. Anyway, this time round I'm reconsidering that. The problem with posting as I went was that quite often there were massive droughts between updates. You get everyone invested with the first few chapters, then life gets busy and the story dies for a while. That feels really bad. I'm thinking I write the entire story then post a chapter a week consistently until it's all out there, even if I don't get feedback and it means I sit on a bit of nest egg until it's done. I guess my question is, how frequently do you as a reader feel a story needs to be updated for you to remain interested? Do you need the assurance that the story will be finished before you commit to reading it? Will you return to a story if disappears for a year? What do the writers recommend? I feel like waiting til it's done means I can go back and edit too. Would you re-read a story if it's polished / re-written after 'completion' to compensate for any roughness that comes from being published in real time? Just thinking out loud and considering whether to post my two brand spanking new chapters now or when the whole thing is done. Thanks for your thoughts
  3. I'm pretty easy to be honest, I'll read just about anything providing the writing / prose isn't totally awful. This isn't that big a community, so I don't feel like I have the luxury of being too picky 🥲 Sometimes an author writes a child abuse scene that isn't presented like it's child abuse? That's an instant DNF. I think it's a topic that can be written about in a way that's sensitive and engaging, but 1) even then it's not what I want to read in my kinky diaper stories, and 2) realizing the author thinks this kind of thing is okay / not abusive makes me super uncomfortable and pulls me out of the story. Also, sound effects for bodily functions. You know what I mean. Super cringe, super not sexy, super not my thing. Lol.
  4. I love fantastical kink stories like this one that have their own unique ideas and concepts. Ngl a lot of it went over my head because I haven't read your previous stories in this universe, but it's so well written it didn't really matter. Judith's descent, Maria's growth, all the mystical elements unfolding in the background I was trying to puzzle out with absolutely no frame of reference whatsoever. Lol. And there was lots of humor in the prose that made it a lot of fun to read (and read like you had fun writing it). You're really good at this Mia! You did say you didn't need to read the previous stories to enjoy this one, and you weren't wrong, but I could tell I would have appreciated some of the character interactions a lot more if I'd read them in order. So I'm going to go do that then come back to this one again. Penny is very cute and she stole the show everytime she was on camera, but I have absolutely no idea what her deal is 😅
  5. Did you not say to me on Friday that someone should do exactly this? Did you put together this entire chart in the 48 hours since then? Have...have you slept? Are you okay? This is such an awesome resource though, it's going to get heaps of use from me at least. I have so much reading to catch up on. Thank you!!
  6. Hi friends, I used to write on here, the ararchive and a blogspot ~10ish years ago under the username Xylophone. There were a few complete stories, a few partials I never finished and a couple of caption stories. I deleted everything in a big purge session and as far as I can tell 99% of it is gone forever. All I have left are The Promise, All for Violet & When Love Comes to Town. Just wondering if anyone would know where to find anything else or has anything else saved, because I really regret that purge session now. Lol. Thanks Some titles I remember, but there were at least 4 or 5 more that idr: - A Not-So-Guilty Pleasure - The Pumpkins Know All the Secrets - There's a Witch In the Ballpit - She Takes After Her Mother
