Agreed. I mentioned in a second comment that I can kind of understand the feelings behind parents who think like that (that diapers/pull-ups would embarrass an older child too much) but I also think that it's far more embarrassing for an older child to wake up in soaked pjs and a soaked bed than to wake up in a wet pull-up/diaper but a dry bed and dry pjs. If that was their philosophy, at least their initial motivation was having you avoid the continued "embarrassment" of diapers, even if the effect was clearly worse.

Shifting Sands - Chapter 63 - 04/27

As usual the quality of your writing is excellent. Great chapter as always! And looking forward to more like always! -
I always think it's crazy when parents have that attitude. I sort of understand the feelings of parents who think "diapers/pull-ups would embarrass an older child too much," but honestly (and maybe I'm biased) I feel like it's far more embarrassing for that child to wake up in soaked pjs and a soaked bed than to wake up in a wet pull-up/diaper but a dry bed and dry pjs. At least that attitude, while ignorant, is in consideration of the child's feelings, but far worse are parents who have the mindset that if an older child wears pull-ups/diapers for bedwetting it will discourage them from staying dry, as if a child can help it (making a bedwetter uncomfortable isn't going to help them stop).

Happy that finally someone mentioned "protection." I know this is just a story but even in real life, I never understand why parents would be so reluctant for such an obvious solution.

Another great chapter. Kelly's character is perfect, she's like the personification of nails on a chalkboard. As always looking forward to more. Not sure that that's completely true, at least not in the US recently, especially with events in the last couple years in many communities where cops have done more harm than good. Then again, Kelly's character definitely doesn't seem like the type of person to feel that way anyway, so your point is legitimate in the story's case. -

Happy to see another chapter! Great writing as always. Also as always, leaves me so curious what's going to happen next. I can absolutely mentally picture Kelly's character and the annoyed hospital volunteer lol. -

No idea why you'd find it weird. Like everybody mentioned, the story is 100% non-sexual. And like I commented before, in my opinion it's way more disturbing that sexual stories are posted on this site at all even with adult characters but I don't go commenting on those stories that they're weird. On the other hand, there is nothing at all weird about a completely non-sexual story just because "a child is wearing a diaper." The amount of kids who are older bedwetters and wear diapers/pull-ups at night is a high amount so there's nothing weird at all about a story about it.- 22 replies

Wow what a chapter! Very exciting, and as always very well-written. Like the person above me said, it was definitely worth the wait! I could clearly picture that phone call with Zack's dad and the receptionist, I literally laughed at “Great. You’ve been an absolutely tremendous help.” And then Kelly sitting outside the security office: "trying to avoid breathing too much, because of the steady stream of ER patients coming and going. I’m going to end up with tuberculosis. Stupid kid." The germaphobe in me likes her character now lol. -

A short yet excellent chapter. Just like all your characters, I love how well-written Kelly is, like in this chapter you really feel as if she reminds you of some angry person ready to demand to "speak to the manager" if things don't go her way. As usual, looking forward to see what happens next.
