  1. I wear 24/7/365 due to need and have for the last 8 years. All of my coworkers know (office staff at least), a few of the drivers that I've known for a while know, but other than that nobody talks about it. I'm good at hiding it and my colleagues can't even tell unless they're looking for it (ie clothing outlines). I do keep a bag of depends in the bottom drawer of my file cabinet at my desk for if needed, but I carry a rather large purse so I have room for a couple extras, wipes, and anything else I need. 2. As someone who is incontinent, I use the Depends Refastenable Underwear and love them. They are very quiet and discreet. This is the item that I wear to work on a daily basis and any other time I want something quieter and more discreet than a brief. Being a women I don't have a problem with them leaking, but I don't sit there and try to see how much they will hold either. I can typically get two decent wettings and then I change whether I need to or not. Another reason I like this item is I can change without having to undress myself. The edges at the waistband are perforated. You can put them on like regular pull ups or underwear, or rip the perferations and put on like a regular diaper. As far as Depends briefs go, my preference is the breathable Attends, but sometimes if I want something thin for fit I will wear a Depends. Absorbency isn't bad, and with a boost pad they will hold quite a bit. Audrey
  3. Too answer the question, yes my boss and most of my coworkers know. I work for a small company where it is a very close knit family atmosphere. I was working there when I had my accident. Most would probably tell you that they can't tell I wear because I'm good at hiding it. The biggest thing, don't alter your job performance in a negative way and you shouldn't have anything to worry about; especially if it's a medical issue. Audrey
  4. I'm new to this website but due to an accident have been incontinent for the last 8 years, I can tell you it is not the easiest thing in the world to deal with, largely to due peoples perceptions, responses, and attitudes. My dating life wasn't all that great before, had no problem finding Mr. Right Now; just couldn't find Mr. Right. After the accident my dating has gone to hell in a handbasket. Finally I believe I have found someone that is understanding, accepting, and willing to look past that fact that I have to wear 24/7. This person just happens to be a women, I didn't set out seeking the same gender, it just kind of happened. For the first time in my life (and I'm 36) I've found myself literally head over heels for someone and realizing that I'm sitting on cloud 9 right now. The feeling is amazing. Where the two of us will go or what will happen remains to be seen, it's still early, but we both seek the same thing and I can finally say in that response that I'm Happy. Now, if response the thread. About 2 years I was sitting at a local bar where I know a few people, the bartender included and they are aware of my problem. I happened to be wearing a pair of jeans with a long sleeve tshirt that was untucked, wasn't trying to impress anyone, just winding down from the week. Sitting at the barstool next to me was a typically guy whose had to much to drink and beginning to make a nuisance of himself. I leaned over to get something out of my purse, while doing that my shirt pulled up far enough on my back to where he could see the back of the pull-up I was wearing. Here we go, he starts getting into me about wearing, being a baby, not potty trained, and other hurtful and insulting remarks; so much so I thought I was about to cry and the people who knew me could see it in my face. Next thing I know, somehow his barstool goes flying and he hits floor in total embarassment with his drink spilling all over him . I guess it's a good thing I decided to wear my cowboy boots that night . Just thought you all might get a kick out of that (no pun intended). Audrey
  5. In reference to the topic; to make a long story short I've been incontinent for eight years due to a vehicle accident. I have a major case of urge incontinence that does not allow me to make it to the bathroom on time, about the only way I can is if I'm already in my bathroom with my skirt, pants, etc. off, ie when drying off after a shower or bath. I do have full control of my bowels but don't even attempt to use the bathroom anymore for urination. It took me about a year to come to terms with it and I learned to more I tried to make it to the bathroom, the more I seemed to set myself up for disappointment. Most of my friends, family, and coworkers know about my problem; they also seem to think I'm very good at hiding it because they can seldom tell. In some ways my life since the accident has become more complicated (dating has been a nightmare), but if I had to go back and change anything, I'm not sure I would. It's become part of who I am today. Audrey
  6. Although I'm relatively new on this site I'll give my experiences. Eight years ago while passing a semi-truck who was in the right lane (I was in the left), I ended up in an accident where my car was sandwhiched between the tractor and trailer when it jackknifed. Emergency personal had to cut a section of my car apart to get me out. Luckily I only have incontinence to deal with, as it could have been much worse. My injuries were a broken collarbone, a concussion from hitting my head on the driver side window, and damaged nerves along the path from my brain to my bladder. Due to the damaged nerves I have urge incontinence, unlike some cases, I know when I have to use the restroom, but I'm not able to make it there in time before going. Frequency of going really hasn't changed, and I have full control of my bowels. So, for the last eight years I've had to wear an incontinence product of some sort 24/7. Just thought I'd share my experience, and if there is any humor in this, the truck involved in the accident...that company was a competitor to the trucking company that I work for. Audrey
