  1. I think what you’re describing is quite normal if you wear diapers daily for an extended period of time. I can relate to a lot of what you described. I’ve been wearing on/off for over a decade, primarily only at home too. During the pandemic I started wearing basically 24/7. I found that my dribbles and leaks got much worse after that, to the point where I felt that same anxiety about leaving home without protection. It felt like I was dribbling constantly between bathroom visits when I was in underwear. Usually not enough to show on pants, but enough to stain my underwear and cause a noticeable pee smell at the end of the day. There was the odd time though where I had visible stains on my pants. I eventually decided to start wearing pull ups when I leave the house for an extended period of time. Pull ups work for me because they’re generally easy to conceal under clothes in public, and they easily handle any dribbles and leaks I have throughout the day. I still use the potty in them when I have to, but I often dribble and leak between bathroom visits, so they work great for that. The Goodnites XXL are my favorite, and they can handle a full wetting for me pretty easily when I really have to go and don’t have easy access to a toilet. Outside of pull ups I’m in a diaper all the time nowadays. Every now and then I wear underwear to test my control, and the dribbles and leaks appear to be my new normal.
  2. Ya very similar boat as this. I can still avoid full blown accidents, but I do experience some minor dribbles and leakage before and after an urge during the day, which pull ups handle just fine. My urges have been increasing in intensity though, and it’s feeling like I have less time to find a bathroom when the urge arises. Long commutes home usually mean a soaked pull up now since bathrooms are hard to find at that time. Curious what your GP said when you brought it up, did they recommend treatment or say anything about diaper use?
  3. I strongly relate to a lot of what has been said in this thread. I haven’t been formally diagnosed with OAB, but I’m considering bringing it up to my doctor on my next visit now. Based on my frequency, I’m well above normal in terms of how many times I need to pee throughout the day. It’s even worse when I drink water, coffee, or alcohol, where like @Ded1989 mentioned, it can cause me to pee every 20-45 mins. I drink a lot of coffee at work in the mornings, and it’s almost become impossible to work without a diaper on, since I can barely sit through an hour long meeting without desperately needing to pee. Luckily I work from home 3 days a week, so it’s not difficult to decide to put on a diaper most days anyways. Still, there are times when I go out in public for extended periods of time with friends or family, or to the office, and I know I’ll need to pee frequently, but I opt not to wear a diaper, partly stemming from shame and embarrassment. I’ve started wearing pull ups all the time when I’m not in a diaper, so it’s easier to go to the bathroom if I can, but I can also relieve myself if there isn’t one available. Lately though, my OAB seems to be in overdrive, and I’m starting to consider just going all in on diapers. Diapers really do provide a comfort and security that is unmatched when dealing with OAB. @gregs mentioned that he started to experience worsening symptoms at 35, which is how old I am now, so I’m starting to wonder if I’m on a similar trajectory. It certainly feels like this is the worst it’s ever been for me.
  4. Interested!
  5. I’ve been wearing diapers for over the last 15 years, but started wearing a combination of pull ups and diapers 24/7 since fall 2022. Before going 24/7, I would say my continence was fairly reliable. I could stay dry for the most part, only leaving small inconsequential dribbles on my underwear. I may have had a bit of an overactive bladder, but it wasn’t much of a stressor for me when I was out and about while wearing boxers. Since going 24/7, things have worsened considerably. I wouldn’t say I committed myself to unpotty training, because I generally try to make it to the bathroom when I’m in pull ups at the office (I have a hybrid job where I work remotely and go into the office a few times a week). However, at home, I’m typically in high absorbency diapers and pee whenever the urge strikes. This has resulted in a highly overactive bladder that seemingly gets worse over time. I’m at a point now where I can’t complete my 45-60 minute commute home without needing to pee, even though I make a point to use the bathroom before leaving. So I’ve become quite used to wetting on the train on my way home from work and coming home in a soaked pull up. In addition to the increase in frequency and urgency, I experience a substantial amount of urine leakage. I still haven’t had a full-blown accident yet, but I constantly dribble pee uncontrollably throughout the day now. There have been days where I try to wear boxers, but they always end up feeling damp, and they smell quite badly of urine after a few hours. I don’t trust myself to leave the house without at least a pull up anymore, and not sure I will ever again. On top of my weakening bladder, I’ve also experienced some diminished bowel control. I can still generally make it to the bathroom to mess, but I frequently experience some bowel leakage before I can make it to the bathroom in time. This has been a somewhat unexpected consequence of wearing 24/7, since I only mess my diapers occasionally, maybe once a week, if that. I’ve also experienced a few genuine messing accidents where I’m expecting to just pass gas but end up messing instead! I think if my bowel control gets worse, I’ll ultimately switch to diapers full time instead of my combination of pull ups and diapers. If I were to stop 24/7 and make a concerted effort to strengthen my bladder and bowel sphincters, I think I could, but I think it would take some time. I’m not sure, however, that I’ll ever manage to get to a point where I could consider myself completely dry. The frequent dribbles I experience are here to stay I think, and it’s hard to see my OAB improving without some medication or treatment. I’ve read that the average male my age only pees 7-8 times a day, but I pee over 10 times before noon 😅 I don’t even keep track of how many times I need to pee throughout the day, but I’d say its well within 25-40 times a day depending on my hydration levels. If I drink caffeine or alcohol it’s even worse.
  6. I’d be interested in joining the chat too if it’s open to new members! @BrownBobby I’ve been untraining for a while and I’m becoming very dependent on wearing diapers for peace of mind
  7. I just loaded my diaper after lunch, it was a big cleanup, but feel so relieved and comfy in a brand new diaper ? This is the 5th time i’ve messed a diaper this week!! I think i’m getting used to it ?
  8. Hi everyone, I’ve developed OAB from untraining over the past few years, and lately it’s starting to affect my sleep. Lately I’ve been wearing the thickest diapers I have to bed, because I know I’ll wake up in the middle of the night needing to pee (even if I drink smallest amount of water before bed). For the life of me, I can’t seem to relax while laying down in bed I have to stand up next to my bed, while half asleep, and let the pee flow before hopping back in to bed. I’m a light sleeper, so this is a lot better for me than having to go to the bathroom, turn on the lights and everything and trying to fall back asleep. But it’s still not ideal and does take me some time to fall back asleep. Worse yet, this cycle happens at least twice or three times in the night, so I’m losing a fair bit of sleep now since it usually takes me about 1/2 an hour to fall back asleep. I would love to be able to just rollover, relax, and drift back to sleep. Or even better just pee while asleep! I’m listening to hypnosis to help me accomplish this, but so far no results, although I know this takes time. Does anyone have any other tips for getting comfortable peeing in bed? Any tips or insight you may have is appreciated!
  9. Hey everyone! I’ve been wearing plastic-backed diapers a lot more recently, and I’ve developed my first ever adult diaper rash I was just wondering what some of your go-to skincare products (brand specific) are to prevent/treat diaper related skin issues? If you have a routine you care the share that’d be great too thanks in advance!
  10. Thanks @Little Sherri !! While I'm not diapered 24/7 completely (yet — hopefully in 2022!), I have worn diapers or pull-ups more than regular underwear over the past few years, with a few stints at full 24/7 here and there. Since I'm usually wearing at least a pull-up, I too am wondering if these "inattentive wettings" have actually been occurring more frequently. The only reason I was wearing regular underwear at the time was because I ran out of pull-ups the day before, and my shipment of new ones was delayed so I had to go without any protection for the day. After my little accident, I was actually super nervous for the rest of the day, worried (but low-key excited haha) that I might have another one. Luckily my order arrived today and I'm happily padded once again, so I no longer need to worry about such silly things :P Thanks @jonbearab :) LOL I really hope full-time diapers are in my near future!!
  11. So I realize it’s pretty weird to be so excited about unintentionally peeing my pants, but I had my first genuine daytime accident today!! I’m not exactly untraining right now, but I’m generally padded 24/7 as I wear pull ups most days if I’m not diapered. Even though I’m not 100% committed to untraining at the moment, I do tend to wet whenever I feel the urge to go while padded, unless it’s really inconvenient to do so or I know i’ll flood and leak. One time that I tend to wet my pull up consistently is after using the toilet for #2. I’m not sure why, but even if I peed while on the toilet, there is usually always a little bit left in the tank when I stand up, so I let it out into my pull up while I wash my hands. I do it so often that I have to be pretty careful not to relax if I’m wearing regular underwear. Usually, I can feel the urge to let that little bit of pee go, so I can hold it if I’m not padded. But today, while wearing regular underwear and sweatpants, I didn’t remember feeling any such urge, and didn’t think anything of it. I have a lot of post-void dribbling now, and my underwear felt a little damp, and I assumed that’s all it was. But then I saw my grey sweat pants as I walked by a mirror in my house, and there was a huge pee stain right on the front of pants!! I didn’t feel myself pee at all, and don’t remember when it happened (i’m assuming it was while washing my hands), and literally had no clue I was that wet until passing by a mirror. It wasn’t a large enough accident to run down my legs or anything, but it was a very large and noticeable pee stain on the front of my pants. Maybe I should be concerned, but honestly it was such an amazing feeling to be completely unaware of having peed my pants haha I was actually soo happy about it! It’s probably a one-off incident, but accidents like this really do make me feel like I belong in diapers :D
  12. I will start doing that! I usually change right before bed, so i’m usually dry before going to bed. It would be amazing to wake up with an empty bladder, but I can imagine that waking up to cold sheets sans diapers would be jarring haha Yeah I don’t think Im quite diaper dependent yet, and certainly not incontinent, but I really hope I’m well on my way I’m also a huge fan of Kaliborio’s blog! I haven’t seen that analogy before but it makes sense. I will likely keep wearing to see if diaper dependence will happen, it’s been a long time dream of mine, but I’ve always felt like it’s out of reach for me. I’m also way too comfortable in diapers to give them up completely haha I certainly know what you mean about running water.. literally can have no urge at all and then the sound will immediately make me need to pee lol Have you tried going without diapers to see if you’ve lost control?
  13. Thanks for the response! I would love to eventually become diaper dependent, and feel like it’s inevitable at some point. So far, I haven’t had any major accidents out in public, but I’ve been wearing pull ups when I go out to deal with my dribbles, which have become more frequent and larger this past year. Yes this sounds very similar to my experience! Being diapered makes the urge/pee/dribble cycle a non issue really, since I can go about my day without even thinking about it. When I take a break and wear regular underwear (which is becoming more infrequent - usually have at least a pull up on), I frequently notice the need to pee, can barely pee when I get to the toilet, and end up with a fair bit of dribble stains afterward. Pull ups definitely help with the dribbles, and I’ve been wearing them more frequently when out in public just in case the dribbles get too big to be noticeable. I haven’t yet had any nighttime accidents of a big magnitude, but have woken up while peeing sometimes at which point my bladder instinctively clenches these accidents are very rare though, and most mornings I wake up completely dry. Hoping this will change someday soon
  14. Hi everyone, Like many others during the Covid-19 pandemic, I’ve been wearing and using diapers a lot more frequently while working remotely from home. I’m not completely 24/7, and often take short 1-2 day breaks, but for the better part of the last year or so, I’ve been fully padded and using my diaper whenever I have the urge to pee (I still use the potty for #2). I’ve gone through many 24/7 stints, usually lasting 1-2 weeks at most before I end up taking a break, then back at it again. These past few weeks, I’ve noticed how hard it is for me to pee in the toilet when I’m on one of my breaks. I get the urge to pee very often when I’m out of diapers, pretty much any time I drink anything, and when I go to the toilet, it often takes a few minutes before I can get the stream going. When I do finally pee, the stream is usually pretty weak, and I don’t feel like I’ve completely emptied, and I soon get the urge to go again and the cycle repeats. It’s gotten so annoying that I just put on a diaper so I stop running to the bathroom so much. I relax whenever I get an urge to pee while padded, and I often don’t even notice the urge to pee since the relaxation reflex has gotten stronger, and I feel a lot more comfortable when diapered because of it. I would say my bladder has become much more accustomed to being diapered, and I’m starting to think I’ve become “diaper trained,” since using a toilet has become much more of a nuisance than a diaper. I don’t think I’m incontinent, but I do think my bladder has changed from prolonged diaper wearing/usage. Has anyone else experienced a change like this? If I keep wearing like this, do you think it’s possible I will become incontinent?
