Young1 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Im sure this may be a common thing and may be no way to fix it but here it goes. Does anyone know why the padding on the butt side of my diaper keeps splitting? Just leaves me the plastic to sit on..... Normally my wettings never reach that far back. Since I have NO butt to hold my pants up and always wear sweat pants and don't use a belt, my sweat pants sometimes fall to about that area of my butt..... so i personally think that is what's causing it???? 🤔 2
Spanky Posted January 21 Posted January 21 What diaper are you wearing? If you are active with a lot of physical activities, the padding can break up. Maybe wearing a snug fitting onesie to support the diaper could help. 1

It could be that your diapers that you use for the sizing are too tight around the butt and thigh area which creates tension and can result in them tearing after a lot of activity. My advice is see if it happens with diapers that are different brands and whether or not they split. then you'll know that it's not just limited to a specific brand and is more or less a sizing problem when it comes to the shape of your body. I wish I could help you more big bro, but that's all I got. Good luck!😜🤪😊 And have a great day!
pigletno Posted January 22 Posted January 22 “Why” technically speaking is probably due to the strength of the materials and the stresses imposed by your body parts- namely the butt cheeks. When you sit and the your buttocks change shape (spread) they pull the plastic sheet(s) of the diaper apart and they are not strong/stretchy enough to handle it. I find that using doublers helps prevent the problem.
wetbedmo Posted January 22 Posted January 22 As you know crinklz are just betterdry with prints, well betterdry are not as good as they used to be. I had problems with the plastic splitting, but if you are fluffing them you might be doing it too much and breaking the padding. I hope you can resolve this. 1

I use the same brand and mine do that occasionally. I think also it's activity related. It seems if I'm sitting and twisting and turning on my butt that seems to separate the lining right in line with my butt crack. *HUGS* 1
Young1 Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 The plastic of the diapers stay intact its just the padding just either falls apart or there's a horizontal split in the padding and and it all falls to the crotch area leaving me the "shell" of the diaper plastics..... Maybe I won't put them on as tight and try that. 1

It could be: - You're very active in you diapers i.e. a lot of movement - As you say, maybe they're too tight when you put them on, causing the SAP to be near breaking point. - Maybe you like sitting down and wiggling your bum a lot 😀. Sorry, I'm clutching at straws now. As pigletno says, a booster would absorb a lot of the wear and tear.
