How did you get diapers as a kid/teen?

I was forced to wear diapers because of having accidents.  My parents would diaper me.  It was embarrassing.

I didn't get diapers as a kid/teen. I used old Y fronts. Not the best idea. I just couldn't figure anything else out.

my parents knew about my regression as a coping mechanism so they did help me get diapers and other things when I was younger, that definitely helped lots

We used to get bags of toiletries that were damaged/expired/unable to be sold on shelves and without fail there would always be a bag or two of off-brand teen's nighttime briefs. It wasn't hard to sneak a pack in my closet every once in a while until the store stopped selling those bags.

I bought Pampers, first generation, sold in boxes, at Cunningham’s drugstore, Kroger, Kmart, and once from a department store.  I also stole them from the church nursery.

I wet the bed till I was 16, so I had easy access my teen life to pull ups

After that, I just bought them online. I’d just make sure she was never home when the package arrived. She worked late enough hours that I wasn’t caught

Back when I first remember trying on a nappy, it was my younger brother's and I was 9 (1989). I would make makeshift ones out of towelling in my teens but it took until I was 21 (2001) when I could order disposables from the then "new" internet.

steal my younger counsins pampers then pull ups. as a tween i made makeshift diapers out of pillow cases and sheets, then papertowells in my undies with trash bags as plastic pants. then at 13 i bought Easy Ups and never looked back

Oh boy, well... here we go... (takes a deep breath)

My earliest memory of wanting diapers was around 6, my parents' friend was over with her young children, and during one of their changes I must have asked about the diapers. Their friend jokingly asked if I wanted to wear one, and I remember distinctly saying "No!" to avoid, I don't know - not being a "big boy"? Idiot.

Otherwise, my next earliest memory would've been 11, we were between moving houses and had an apartment. I remember making makeshift diapers out of two layers of whitey tighty briefs, with socks as padding in between the layers. Sometimes, I'd upgrade to combination of socks/tshirts as padding. That continued until I was about 13.

Around the time I was 12, I obtained an actual baby diaper or two by methods I'm not proud of, like others in this thread - otherwise I mostly used the makeshift diapers after feeling rightfully guilty. I payed my debts.

At roughly 13, the internet had moved beyond the days of dial-up, and I spent some time on those old GoodNites forums, and other forums. I made the really stupid and selfish decision to elaborately fake bedwetting in order to get diapers. Not only did I intentionally urinate while in bed several times, I also composed a few journal entries in one of those cow-print notebooks (despite never writing in a journal like that before) describing my untrue dilemma of wetting the bed, and left it wide open on my desk for my parents to find. My dad did, and if I remember right I got nervous about lying and claimed it was just a fluke. But then shortly after I was with my mom running errands, and we stopped at the pharmacy for something else. I took the opportunity to tell her my fake bedwetting story, and right then and there we bought some diapers. I asked about GoodNites and explained I had seen them on the web, but unfortunately she didn't think I would fit in them because I was a tall kid, and we ended up getting Depends. Though, she did praise me for looking up the GoodNites website as a solution to my problem, but that just made me feel worse. The only stipulation to getting the diapers for me was to agree to see my doctor for it. My doctor referred me to a specialist, which my dad took a day off work to take me to, but after delivering a story to him about being nervous about bullies in the 8th grade, he chalked it up to stress. He didn't even examine me at all, which my dad was pretty pissed about from a medical/cost standpoint.

I only kept up the charade for a couple months, playing the part and wetting my diapers regularly. Eventually the guilt sank in and I was magically cured. To this day I feel horrible about the whole thing, and make every ongoing effort possible to make it up to my parents. I'm not sure if they ever figured it out, they're pretty smart, but we have never spoken about it since.

Of course, I wasn't done being a complete idiot. Sometime between the fake bedwetting phase and getting my first job, I met someone online on a forum claiming to be a high school student in a nearby town and they bought me diapers. Looking back, I fully recognize this was wildly dangerous and stupid... I snuck out in the dead of night and met them in a church parking lot behind my subdivision. I least I had some sense to conceal my location for privacy reasons, and rode my bike to the encounter to make it look like I came from far away. They showed up in a car, and based on what dimly-lit view I got they might have actually been a high school student. Hard to say. It was a quick hand off, and nothing else happened. I never met with them again, either. If you're a 14-year-old and you're reading this, don't do what I did, be safe.

At 16, I got my first job, and from then on I bought my own diapers from stores. Before I had my license I tried to ride my bike down a busy road to a pharmacy, but quickly got scared of being run over and turned around.

I started buying diapers and plastic pants as a pre-teen from either Woolworths or local drug stores. Was always terrified I'd be challenged and the shop assistant could see straight through me - but that never happened. I'd then stash them away in my school bag and couldn't wait to get home to put them on. 

Wasn't great at hiding my baby things from Mum. She found them a few times and told me if I carried on, my Dad would rub my nose in my used diapers, and I would be kicked out of the house. As a result, I've buried my feelings for 50 years - but are still there, because it's just part of who I am. 

Now I've hit 60, I'm less and less concerned about others attitudes towards me. I've worked hard and provided very well for my family - and I'll always make sure they're loved and protected. But I need a little me time as well and have space to enjoy my 'kink' - although I really don't like that word because it makes me feel deviant, which I don't think I am - but maybe I'm in denial.

This is what I've done when I was a kid and a teenager. I would sneak into my church nursery before or after service, in my siblings/cousins room, or even in family restroom, and among other places and grabs some new diapers in the cabinet and used wet ones in the trash.

Til I was able to get a job to pay my own depends ( the good 6 tab ones ) and goodnites ( my always go to). Honestly that was the main reason for me getting a job at 17, to buys diapers and to move out to wear diapers freely. But sadly I really didn't take a full advantage of my bachelor life 😕 ( like buying high quality brands online or in the Fort Wayne IN. Store, or wearing more often).

@DailyDi as far as I can remember I stole a few from my siblings and also from drug stores.  And when I was old enough I bought them from the grocery store.

I started by using towels and plastic garbage bags.  

I then managed to bike to the pharmacy and later drive when I got a license.

I would snag them my mothers private daycare when I was really young. As I got older and could do chores and worked for the church as a teen. I would then bike to the shop and buy pull ups on my own.

I'd snag a few diapers or pull ups from my younger cousins. And then when I started getting an allowance I'd go to the store and buy my own diapers and pullups.
