kerry
Excellent and enjoyable story, and—most of all—realistic, given the story's premise. Not many authors seem to trust their concepts and characters to go where it is natural for them to go. I'm disappointed for Courtney, but happy that you didn't force an arbitrary and unrealistic ending on her. ? Link to comment
nadine_enough
I'm a bit late to reply, but reading this story, I was getting a very "Handmaid's Tale" vibe. The way that Courtney was treated at her job and by her boyfriend was frequently "lesser", which was frustrating. But even though she didn't succeed in the end, I like that it still felt hopeful. I liked the lesson that progress can be slow sometimes, but as long as we keep building then we haven't failed. Good story, thanks for sharing! Link to comment

D503
A really interesting world you've created there with great writing thanks. The protagonist's desperation and fatalism bits were also great. Link to comment
