The first thing about Roxanne was that she preferred to be called Rick or 'Ricky'. Her parents had thought it funny to name her after some stupid song from the 70's or was it the 80's? By the Police. She was just glad that the song wasn't that popular and no one got the 'joke'.

Roxanne did her best to appear and act professional and serious. She always felt like she had no other choice even now at twenty six years of age she still had that dumb stupid baby-face look that she had to cover up with make-up every single god-damn time.  She hated how she could pass for a fifteen year old. She worked as a police officer but more so on investigations rather then patrols. Normally she worked with people that kept a watchful eye on certain people that were known to cause or have caused trouble in the pass other times she was needed at a crime scene or a murder case.

She was still considered 'new' despite working at the same department for four entire years. Roxanne looked at her target with twinkling blue eyes and started to walk over to the woman, an ex-con.  This woman was one of the very first people she helped get behind bars and it had been a very proud moment for her, "I know that your up to something," said Roxanne, "you know it would be easier for everyone if you just told me, right?" this wasn't the first nor would it be the last time she planned on asking the ex-con for some sort of info.

To an extent she was desperate. She needed to prove herself somehow and while she was somewhat successful she still hadn't had that 'break' that she needed in her career yet. There had been a murder case or two that she had gotten recognition for and put her in the spotlight for a promotion but she hadn't had anything big since and she didn't exactly feel like chasing down serial killers and the like she much preferred gathering Intel and interrogations.

Roxanne ran a hand through her light brown hair trying to remain calm, cool and collected. There was no reason to be scared, after all.

Gianna rolled her eyes upon hearing the accusation.  This stupid gumshoe doesn’t give up.

She sincerely wished she didn’t have to give this woman the time of day, but “not cooperating with police” tended not to be something that someone on probation could do and stay on probation, even when the expected cooperation involved getting accused of more crimes.  She was honestly and non-criminally getting her life back on track, and yet that felony record...the one this noodle-brained flatfoot got put on her...it still dogged her.

“I’m going to say the same thing I told you the last five times this month you interrogated me, Officer.  I don’t know anything.  I have not had any contact with anyone from the family.  I have lived up to the terms of my probation.  You know where I work, where I buy my groceries, where I go to Saturday mass and Sunday dinner.  You also know that if I did know anything about anything the family was up to, I would have sung and would continue to sing like a bird.  Telling you what I knew back then still got me a year in prison, and I’m not in a rush to get back.”

She folded her hands in front of her.  “Any other questions I haven’t answered?  Am I free to leave, Officer?”

She adored her lawyer for telling her just how useful that phrase could be, especially with a sarcastically deferent tone.

She had also lied a little bit.  Mama Miglietti had been in contact again.  No matter what she could say about the moral and ethical deficiency of being a crime boss, Gianna appreciated how sociable Mama was with her girls. Even the ones who weren’t “in the family”  anymore.  She knew there was an ulterior motive, there always was; no social call with Mama Miglietti was ever purely social.

The words of her last call stuck with her.  “Gianna princessa, you may have been in prison but you stayed true to your mama the whole time.  You ever need a favor, like your unfortunate adoption situation, Mama will do that favor for you.  And I swear on the Holy Mother and great grandmama Maria’s ragu, no strings attached.”

Roxie was starting to get annoyed but knew she had to keep her cool, "We both know that isn't true." she couldn't help but whine slightly, "it would be easier if you just told me what's going on." she hated that she couldn't really do anything to Gianna but truthfully she had no other person she could really go to directly and everything was tightly shut.  They had tried spying on a few people from the family but nothing even came of it and they needed new information!

She kept quiet for a minute as she glared at Gianna slightly, "Yes you are free to go." sighed Roxanne with a huff as she turned to leave. She was angry, angry at herself for having nothing at all. Why did it have to be so hard? She felt like she was going to crack or break down at any moment. The city wasn't in the greatest of shape and there was a lot of crime to deal with. In her anger Roxanne nearly tripped over but instead stumbled.  She wasn't in the correct uniform right now but her casual work clothes that she wore in the office, a simple black blazer, a long sleeved button up shirt, green, smart black jeans and her black boots.

What was she going to do?

Roxie sat at a local bar. She had a few other leads she could go try and get info from but it would be difficult and just like Gia she doubted any of them would talk. Why was she so desperate? Roxie took a sip from glass feeling the whiskey burn the back of her throat. What could she do? Probably go back to the office and work herself sick before heading back to her one bedroom apartment. If she didn't fall asleep at her desk again. It wasn't as if she had anyone waiting for her or any friends for that matter, she didn't socialise at all with her fellow officers nor did she socialise with anyone else but she had always been a loner so what did it matter? Her mom and dad had died when she was young and she didn't have siblings or any other family members.

Roxie after a few drinks walked out of the bar. It was dark now but still early. She would probably just sleep at her desk again...

“Thanks for the coffee, Officer.  Maybe I might have known something if you’d thought to spring for a scone, though,” she said, offering a comically obvious wink as she slid a leather jacket on her back.  She was more than annoyed at the continued into her life, but at least she knew she could twist the knife a little more with a cheery attitude.  She probably ought to not have poked the bear, but this harassment was getting tiresome.  Roxanne had to know she was getting nowhere.  Either that, or she was really desperate.

She got back to her condo and drained the remnants of her somewhat ill-gotten coffee cup, still a little agitated from the waste of an hour and a half and the cost of bus fare and an unnecessary call from her probation officer.  At least the coffee was good.

She sat home until the urge for dinner hit her.  She didn’t know why at that moment, but she suddenly got in the mood for some really good gnocchi.  She picked up her cell phone and dialed a familiar number.

”Mama, have room for one more at the table tonight?”

Miglietti was more than thrilled to hear Gianna's voice, "I always have room for one more at my table," she said, "especially for you," she paused, , "I'll see you soon my princessa."

She lived in a mansion outside the city. It was tightly secured and no one could get in or out unless she allowed them. She had plenty of space and room. It was a shame Gianna wasn't able to live with her and the others yet despite the amount of lawyers the family had on hand to take care of Gianna's situation. It wouldn't cost that much.

Meanwhile at the police station Roxie was at her wits end. Her boss had just shouted at her for going after Gianna and there had been no improvement to any of the cases she or others were working on. It sucked to say the least.

Roxie went to her desk and worked for two hours straight focusing on stupid paperwork. Everyone else having gone home to their families while others came in to take their shift. Nothing made sense! She wanted to scream so badly....

After a few more hours of working it was now nearing 1am and Roxie was tired, hungry and emotional. She was also still a little bit drunk and her mind was still on Gianna!

She knew that what she was about to do was wrong but she had no other choice.  Going outside she decided to walk to Gianna's place which was at least an hour away.

She hated how fucking cheery Gianna had been earlier! Roxie stood at Gianna's door feeling slightly nervous. Gianna was probably asleep...

“Mama, this is so hard for me to do,” Gianna says, stabbing a few gnocchi with a fork before putting them into her mouth.  “I have been totally straight for a year since I left prison.  You know that too.  I haven’t seen anyone from the family since prison.”  She sighed and ate another bite.  “I don’t know what I’m supposed  to do.  I got a good job, yeah, and a good condo and I’m trying to make good.  But, well you know about this whole adoption fiasco.  And now that cop that put me away is literally harassing me thinking I’ve got inside info about the family.  God I hate that baby faced little...”

”Oh, I know about that one.  I have an ear inside the department.  She’s closer than she thinks to your Mama, but she can’t see some things have changed...obviously if she’s still looking after my Gia! ” Mama Miglietti scooped another mound of pasta on Giannas plate.  “First things first, Bella Gianna, is you eat.  You’re getting too skinny, I’m worried about you!”

Gianna smiles, knowing from just those two statements absolutely nothing about Mama had changed.

”I told you I’d do you a favor, princessa.  Name it and it’s yours.”

She sighed again, knowing she could trust Mama yet hardly feeling like it was even worth it. “Those are the two things honestly, get that cop off my back and help me with adopting a baby.  They don’t want to give a kid to a single mom who may never marry and has a record.”

Mama Miglietti smiled widely.  “Oh I think I can manage that favor.  You just let your Mama work her magic.”

After a pleasant meal ending with Mamas famous espresso, Gianna headed back to her condo...

For Roxanne she only had one thing going for her in her life and that was her job. She had nothing else. All she could do was wait for Gia. A knock hadn't worked and she presumed that the ex-con wasn't home in her condo.

Finally upon seeing Gianna return Roxanne quickly or as quickly as she could went after her grabbing her wrist, "Look I know that something's going on and I'm fed up with these games," she stated, "just tell me already." a slight whine in her voice from how frustrated she was from all this.

Her eyes despite had dark circles underneath from lack of sleep, her hair was a mess and no longer neat from how it was earlier due to the amount of times she ran her hand through her hair.  Her grasp on Gianna's wrist wasn't firm but weak. She knew she was in trouble for going after Gianna so much and she didn't know why she just didn't leave the woman alone? She had no real proof, "Please." whimpered Roxie.  Maybe it was the whiskey from earlier, the lack of sleep and the fact that she hadn't eating was making her desperate? She normally wouldn't act like this, she shouldn't act like this but she felt like she had no choice. Roxie felt like she was on the urge of crying but kept herself together. Why did she feel so powerless in this moment?

“You’re nuts.  You are literally crackers,” Gianna said, shaking herself free of the weak grip the officer had on her.  “I don’t know how else I can tell you that I don’t know what you want to know, and now that I’m finding you show up on my fucking doorstep and assaulting me...”  She opened up the front door, ready to walk behind it and slam it in the flatfoots face.

“Just get inside here, get a drink of water, and rethink some of your choices.  Say any damn thing about your investigation including asking questions, and I will literally throw you onto the street by your ear.  Capisce?”

Link to comment

Roxanne glare a little at being called 'nuts' and did her best not stumble backwards as Gianna shook herself free from her weak grasp. Truthfully she wasn't sure what she was doing here at all. It made no sense and worse of all she knew it made no sense but she didn't know what else to do.

For a brief moment Roxie was taking back by Gianna's words. Assult? She knew that she could get in big trouble for that and for even being here this late without a warrant or anything.

This was unusual?

Roxanne eventually sighed, "Fine I won't say anything or ask any questions." she hadn't been inside the condo before and half hoped that maybe she could find something but she wasn't stupid enough to go snooping around. Why was Gianna even inviting her in? What did she mean 'rethink' about some of her choices? Roxanne scowled even pouting a little, "Why have you invited me in? I expected you of all people to slam the door in my face?" she asked trying to play it off cool but she couldn't help be curious. Why did she feel so compelled by Gianna? Why did she feel the need to be near the ex-con?

Link to comment

“Because you look like you’re either about to throw up, pass out or start sobbing, and all of those things are more comfortable on a couch than in the street,” Gianna replied, not really wanting to explain she had been feeling extra motherly lately, and not in the least because dinner with Mama had reminded her of the role model she mostly wanted to live up to as a mother.  “So sit down, have some coffee or some water, and take a breather.  Really reflect on how absolutely crazy it was to come to MY home address after dark, unannounced, a little drunk and almost certainly without a warrant or probable cause, knowing that the second you leave here I WILL have to call my probation officer...and for what?”

Gianna showed her the couch, and sauntered past the bar of her open plan kitchen to the refrigerator, retrieving a bag of cannolis from Leo’s down the block.  She started a pot of coffee just in case, and brought the pastries over.  “Now eat something.”  She mused at this sounding so much like Mama Miglietti at that moment...

Roxanne blushed a little.  Slightly surprised by Gianna guessing right. She did feel like she was about to throw up, pass out but mostly start to cry yet she knew she couldn't do any of those three things in front of the ex-con espescially cry! She didn't want to be seen as some sort of crybaby just because she was getting frustrated with her job, "I'm not going to cry." mumbled Roxanne unable to help but protest somewhat, "I'm not some idoit crybaby kid." she added softly.

Normally she of worried about her 'professional attutide' but that had gone out the window a long time ago where Gianna was concerned. Roxanne felt like she was being told off but couldn't find her voice or anything to talk back. It almost felt as if she deserved being told off. She wasn't stupid just a little bit head strong and desperate for approval.

Having been raised in foster care she didn't get much or any attention at all nor did she recieve much at school. It didn't help that there wasn't anything 'special' about her. She didn't get A's nor did she do well in sports. For the most part she had been invisable or at least she had been until junior year of high-school where everyone had grown to look more 'adult' and she still looked like someone that should be in middle school. It had been hard to say the least and it didn't help that she tended to cry quite a bit when she did start to cry.

Roxanne sat on the couch and watched as Gianna sauntered past the bar. How could this ex-con have so much confidence? She looked at the pastries that Gianna had brought over curiously before picking one up and eating it, a little timidly, "Thank you." said Roxanne very softly dropping her tough bullshit cop attutide for now.  She hated how childish her voice was! She always needed to make an effort to force herself to sound more strong otherwise she would sound like this! It reminded her of the many times she would be forced to stand in a line and introduce herself to some stupid ass couple who would coo over her before deciding to go with a kid that wasn't so shy, anxious, scared....

This entire situation being here with Gianna was making her rather uncomfortable indeed but she knew that she had pretty much brought it on herself, "Did you make these?" she asked trying to get a control of her voice, she sounded a bit more deeper but still rather light and soft much to her own embarssment, "I-it's really good I don't really eat much..." Roxanne blushed feeling even more foolish, "I just eat take-away never learned to cook." she added not looking at Gianna.

“Oh god no.  I could never make a cannoli better than Leo.  The man is a pastry genius.  I literally ate nothing else the first day I got out of...you know.”  Gianna heard the shift in her guests voice and could tell the woman, like so many others not just in her chosen profession but also in the rest of the world, had to put on this mask just to survive.  A hard sounding tough as nails lady cop during the day, and a soft scared little girl the rest of the time.  It didn’t even shock her when Roxanne admitted she didn’t know how to cook; somehow it just made sense.

“Well, I’m not your mother and I can’t tell you what to do,” Gianna said as she sat a cup of fresh coffee down and slid it to the cop.  “But you should really learn.”  She paused, then shook her head,  “Nah, on second thought I am gonna tell you what to do.  Learn how to cook.  Don’t be the sad single lonely gal who talks to her cats and doesn’t own dishes because the Chinese food carton is it’s own plate.”  Gianna had always been smart and capable, indeed that was how she got as far as she did under Mama Miglietti.  Actually talking to the officer who managed to get her put away...she felt a little ashamed, actually.  This one?  This one is the one who caught me?

”Alright,” Gianna said after finishing the last little slurp of her coffee and grabbing the bag of cannoli.  “Closing time for Mama Gia’s cafe.  If you want my last bit of advice, go home and sleep.  Take a personal day tomorrow.  It’s really easy.  Just call up your CO and say “I need the day off.”  I’m gonna take a wild stab in the dark here and say you’ve never done that at any job ever...”

Roxanne felt confused for a moment. Were they seriously having a normal conversation together? Weird but somehow it felt nice? She didn't have any friends and found communication difficult. For a brief moment she felt somewhat guilty that Gianna had gone to prison and that she had been annoying her so much lately. Maybe it would be best to leave Gianna alone once and for all? For some strange reason she didn't want to leave Gianna alone though. Maybe it was down to the fact that she didn't socialise at all? And when she did it was normally to pay Gianna a visit at that coffee shop they always met at?

Roxanne listened intently. She might have to pay this Leo guy a visit! If she knew where he worked or if he worked at all? She hoped he had his own bakery? Would she even get served?

Roxanne blushed at Gianna's words and held the fresh cup of coffee in her hands. It was warm and she was thankful for the warmth it provided to her cold hands. She took a sip only to blush even more in shock at how accurate Gianna had just been about her but at least she didn't have a cat or at least yet...

She wasn't quite sure what to say and was glad for the coffee it gave her a moment to think as she listened to Gianna. Once finished Roxanne stood up, her face slightly red, "I-I guess your right," she stammered swallowing her pride, "I really should know how to cook," she paused looking down at her shoes, "I didn't have a mom or dad growing up but I-I really need to know these things." what was she doing telling Gianna this? She felt so pathetic right now.

Roxanne sighed, "Thank you."

She looked at Gianna, "I'll take your advice about taking the day off..."

She moved towards the door before looking back, "I-I'll stop bothering you from now on, it was stupid of me, sorry."

Roxanne walked out of the condo and into the cold open air. Why did she feel so sad? She was a good enough cop and smart enough, she normally didn't act unprofessional? She knew she needed the day off but she couldn't stand being alone. As she walked to her one bedroom flat she found herself getting more and more lost in thought.  Why did she feel so worthless? Without her job she had nothing.

Crossing the road Roxanne found herself nearly getting ran over. It was her fault entirely for not even looking in the first place but still...

It felt like her heart was going a mile a second as she leaned against a lamp-post breathing heavily. That could of been bad, really bad but would it really been bad? She wished she didn't have those thoughts but she did and it was hard to ignore, "Just need to get home..." she mumbled to herself but she didn't move at all from where she was standing. It was getting cold. They weren't quite in winter yet for snow but the chill was there.

Ten minutes she stood there just looking around. Not really caring or thinking about anything. Finally she started to walk but much more slowly. Her legs felt cold almost numb. Her body shook a little.  When did it get so cold? Her stupid place was about thirty minutes away now.

She had walked halfway from Gianna's place to her's.

“That’s the one?”

“Yeah that’s her.”

”She don’t look like no cop.”

”Boss says that’s the one.”

Gianna couldn’t get back to sleep.  It was partly the coffee, but also mostly the frustration of the day.  The last encounter was pleasant enough once Roxanne got it into her head everything she was doing was really stupid, though.  She couldn’t exactly understand why the woman brought up her inadequacies to her a few times, other than maybe just feeling a little vulnerable and being a little drunk.  But the part about her not growing up with a mom or dad, that really resonated her when she thought back on it.  It made her think once again about her desires to adopt, making a difference for a young life in a situation like that...and how still nothing could seem to go her way with it.

What an absolute joke.

*****

The two men saw Roxanne standing out in the chilly night air, woefully underdressed for the weather, and for the time she was spending in it.

They waited until she came closer, out of the soft orange glow of the street lamps, and from the seemingly inauspiciously parked conversion van, they slid open the door, snatching Roxanne with perfect timing and started pulling her in...

Link to comment

Roxanne was caught off guard big time. It took a couple of seconds for her to register what was happening but it was to late, "GET THE FUCK OFF ME!" she screamed all of a sudden trying to twist and pull herself away from the two men but she really wasn't that strong nor did she have much or any physical training outside how to use a gun properly.  She had been hired as a researcher first and foremost.  Her body was also numb from the cold which made things even more difficult.

Roxanne kicked one of the guys as hard as she could.  Why did she feel so tired and out of breath?

Link to comment

The one felt it hard in his sternum and fell back a bit, but that gave just enough opportunity for the other to put a hard sleeper hold around Roxannes neck.  The other one shut the door after a moment to recover his wind, and began to wrap her ankles with duct tape.  Once that step was complete, a strip went over her mouth, then he went to work binding her wrists.

“Where’s the drop?”  He asked to his compatriot as he bound the struggling woman.

“Boss says her place...”

Link to comment

Roxanne couldn't believe what was happening nor did she want to believe it. Why would anyone want to kidnap her? There wasn't a lot she could do giving the sleeper hold she was in but at least she caused a bit of pain to one of the guys.

She gave them both a harsh glare as she wriggled against the duck tape but it was no use. After a few minutes Roxanne gave up and stared at the two.

Boss? Her? Roxanne bit back a whimper. The stupid van felt just as cold as it had been outside. Was she scared? She was fucking frightened and much to her own embarrassment and humiliation she started to wet herself.  Roxanne closed her eyes tightly hoping that the two guys wouldn't notice or say anything.

Link to comment

Neither of them seemed to notice at that moment, though unquestionably later they’d notice the puddle on the vans floor.  With the victim secured, they got the van going and sped off up into the hills.

“If it isn’t the tenacious miss Roxanne,” an older woman’s voice said upon seeing the bound kidnapped woman.  “Thank you boys, my princessa will be most pleased...”. She directed them to bring her to a side room in the mansion, well out of anyone’s notice who would have been in the building.  “Oh my!  You’ve had an accident!  Well, don’t you worry, Roxanne, we will get you all fixed up for my princessa...”

Link to comment

This wasn't good....

This was far from being 'good' she was in some deep trouble right now and she couldn't even think about what she should. It wasn't as if anyone would look for her or at least not for a while.

Upon hearing an older woman's voice Roxanne looked up and was left shocked. What the fuck? This couldn't be happening....

Roxanne's face turned a bright red at the mention of her accident and glared. Why was this happening to her? All fixed up? What did that mean? Princessa? Tears welled up in her bright blue eyes but she refused to cry. That was the last thing she needed! She wasn't some stupid crybaby...

If only she wasn't tied up with duct tape...

If only she was stronger...

She did her best to put on a brave tough look to try and show that she wasn't scared but it looked more like a child that wasn't trying to cry from having falling over and hurt their knee.  A small soft whimper escaped Roxanne furthering embarrassing her.

Link to comment

“Awww little one, don’t you worry.  My princessa is going to treat you very well,” she said, pulling aside a corner of the duct tape and putting into her mouth the tube of a sport bottle.  The sedative in the water would act quickly upon someone as slight as the kidnapped Roxanne.  “Don’t cry, you’ll be very well taken care of...”, she said, stroking the hair of the bound and frightened woman as she squeezes the water into her mouth.

Link to comment

Roxanne blushed.  Little one? What did she mean by that? She was kind of small only standing at 5'3 that is if she didn't have any shoes on otherwise she was 5'6 with shoes on.  Roxanne winced at the slight bit of duct tape being pulled away but it wasn't enough for her to say or really do anything.

She glared at the woman.  She wasn't going to cry! Damn it. She was completely helpless right now but it was hard for her to deny that it kind of felt nice getting her hair stroked....

Roxanne felt the water in her mouth and did her best not to drink any of it yet some still managed to go down her throat. There was obviously something in the water she wasn't dumb. It didn't take long for the sedative to work at all as Roxanne found herself falling asleep quickly.

Mama Miglietti smiled as she saw the cop slip into unconsciousness, ready to prepare her for her princessa Gianna.  “My Gianna will love having you be the baby she could never have...” Roxanne might have heard some or all or none of this before falling into slumber, but Mama didn’t much care, she’d find out soon enough.

She went to work untaping the woman’s body and undressing her once Roxanne was out cold.  Dressing her back up...well, if she looked like a little child based on size prior, the fact that she was put into an adult diaper and bright pink T-shirt with a unicorn on the front, she would look even more like a toddler now.  The silver duct tape on her mouth was replaced with pink tape...around a pacifier.  Not only was this poor woman kidnapped, she was being turned into a baby!

Link to comment

Roxanne could barley make out what Migliett was saying.  Did she hear Gianna's name? She wasn't sure....

It was hard to believe that she was face to face with Mama Miglietti yet not in the way she expected to face the woman her department had been chasing around for years especially not in pissed soaked trousers....

Roxanne seemed to be stuck in a body of a fifteen year old, her chest was nearing a B cup, there were signs of curves and womanhood that any teenager would be proud to have and see that they were developing into a adult but she wasn't a teen at all, she was an adult.  She was very insecure of her body and the way she looked.   She worked out quite a bit, running, more then anything and the tone was there but it was obvious that she didn't take care of herself well.  There was a old scar on her back that she had gotten when she was younger. It ran down her shoulder blade and to the middle of her back in a slightly curved line.

The worse thing of all about this was probably the fact that she had little to no pubic hair down there. She hated how little pubic hair she had. It was embarrassing.  Roxanne was thankfully saved from the embarrassment of being changed and diapered by Mama Miglietti due to the sedative.

It would take a long while for Roxanne to wake up.

She slept peacefully, suckling on the paci unaware of everything around her.

Link to comment

Satisfied with her dressing job, Mama Miglietti put the new adult baby in a clearly adult-sized crib.  It would seem...this isn’t the first time the crime boss had “taken care” of an inconvenient personage in this way, and perhaps one might surmise this is among the reasons she calls herself “Mama”.  She smiled and patted the woman’s head tenderly, as one might to an infant of their own.  The poor dear was already sucking the pacifier, she noticed.  This might be easier than I thought...

After a restful nights sleep, she went back to the secret room to check on Roxanne.  In the light of day, she could see the wealth of baby furniture, and mentally took note of the pieces she would give to Gianna and would need to replace.  The crib, a changing table, a high chair, a rocking chair strong enough for two...

Link to comment

Roxanne was half awake and half asleep still.

Everything felt so soft and comfortable. It was humiliating to say the least.  She stayed in the crib not knowing what to do or if she could do anything or even if there was a point to doing anything right now? The door was probably locked for a start.  Roxanne suckled the paci a little hating the comfort it brought her.

Yet it wasn't the worse thing.

The worse thing was the stupid thick diaper wrapped around her waist.  Everytime she moved even an inch it would crinkle! But worse of all then wearing a diaper was the fact that she pissed herself whilst asleep.  It would of been a shock but she tended to have bed-time accidents often yet she never wore any protection for them.

Hearing the door open Roxanne could see that it was Mama Miglietti.  Everything from last night came rushing back to her but why was she in a diaper? Why was she in a crib? What was going on? All she could do was whine softly from behind the taped down pacifier.
