DL-Boy
The thick stuff I use cannot be rubbed in. It can only be smoothed out to a consistent layer and it acts as a barrier against wetness while the zinc oxide in the cream helps heal any existing rash. The Equate brand Diaper cream I use is so thick that I can't easily get it off of my hands after application. I either use latex or nitrile gloves when available or I use a baby wipe and a lot of soap & water to clean it off my hands after. Even then I have a film on my hands. It has been known to interfere with the adhesive of the diaper tapes so it takes some care when applying my diapers after use, to avoid the tape landing areas. 1 Link to comment
dyperbole
Same here as DL-Boy. There's no rubbing in the Calmoseptine. I only use it when there's a need anyway, so it isn't an everyday thing. Even the next morning it takes a good bit of soap to get it off in the shower. Link to comment
