Also, up until very recently, some fault or other has been found with these kind of things Even in the "oughts" the waterproofing had been known to peel off from the substrate material. Also, the "breathability" has been known to allow substances that were vapors at body temperature out of containment, only to condense on the outside of the panty and inside the clothing when away from the body, which then became damp or wet and was thought to be leakage.
