I wonder if this sign is still up. I last saw it in 1996, when I got off I-78 eastbound in New Jersey, about 15 miles from the Pennsylvania line coming down the eastern slope of the big mountain, "Jugtown Mountain"...the sign said:

Slow Rescue Squad

with the usual picture of the fire truck on it.

Not a good place to have a heart attack!!!

I love the fact that that's on a brown background, which, for those unaccustomed to UK roadsigns generally means 'tourist attraction'

A gibbering mouther is an amorphous creature, well... born of insanity and whatever it consumed. It's blob like... but you can see bits of whatever it consumed in it.

Like a five foot tall amoeba with mishapen mouths and eyes all over it, constantly babbling utter nonsense.

Something like that, anyway.

I dont have a picture of this but the funniest sign Ive ever seen was when we took my son to Michigan and a lil while after we crossed into Michigan from Ohio we saw a sign that read:

"PRISON AREA! DO NOT PICK UP HITCHHIKERS"

I laffed and laffed for hours! I tried to get a pic of it on the way back home but missed it and hubby wouldnt turn around! TOOO FUNNY THO!

So I say as usual "O-H" "I-O"
