Hate to hear that, but as someone who is self-employed in a business that regularly has seasonal slow-downs (sometimnes stopping for months) I'm sort of used to that. No point worrying about it now, just spend all your waking hours aiming to regenerate income and hopefully you'll come through it OK.

Keep a log of who you contact for each opening, what the company is, who & when you contacted them, their info, etc.

Do that- as odd as it seems getting a better job is a lot easier when you've got a job now, but getting any job while unemployed is really tough. Maybe Stephen Hawking can explain it- I sure can't

Alright, I turned to Craigslist to find a job, found a few. Sent resume off.

I know the feeling, I was getting very scared and it wasn't helping my depression to look for a job - this after my wife decided to move out and take my entire support system away from me. I'm thankful that my mother had a place for me to stay while I got my head straight.
