Adult cradle

While looking at wood working of shaker's I came acroos this. It's a adult cradle that that used in their infirmary for adult it was to sooth them and prevent bedsores.

Sorry I don't know of what the problem is it shows a picture when i look at this page, and I did place a link. So that anuy that is wondering the cradle is 72" long i am not sure the width but I doubt it was not very wide as there weren't many obese sharker but I was not there ( I may be old but I could noy be everywhere).

I wonder if the shakers had any AB tendecies, They were a group the did not have sex, so I think they would have that need for nuturing. THey did adopt child out of orphaniges. Sometimes they brought in people who had children prior to converting to sharkerism. That one reason they vanished is they did not replicate just asimilate.
