warpiper
For those of you who use your iPad or iPhone to get into chat, there is apparently a block that is preventing members from getting into the chat room after they have upgraded to ios6. This is a problem with the invision board system, and we are trying to find out what the remedy for the system is going to be so that the problem doesn't happen anymore. If you have not updated to ios6 and still want to use your device to get into chat, DON'T UPGRADE YET, at least until we get the problem sorted. We will keep you updated as this issue is resolved. -piper Link to comment
Guest Lil_Lilo
Thanks for the update piper. I am glad to know why I cannot get in.. Wish I had not upgraded to the stupid IO6!!! Link to comment
Nualla
Yep. This is why I say hell no to Apple products. Android and Windows 7. Won't use win8 because forget that, but Windows7 is stable and runs everything. Linux would be a good option, but it needs tons of programs to do anything, and I don't have the patience to learn how to use every one of them. >.< Link to comment
Guest Lil_Lilo
Any word on a fix? Maybe I would be better off trying to convince apple my phone has a flaw and they can gives a new one? Link to comment
DailyDi
No update from Invision. The new iPhone comes preloaded with iOS6 so that wouldn't help. Link to comment
WaddleBoyUK
That would explain why I can get into chat but then can't post messages or see new ones from other ppl then!! Link to comment
Dubious
Can always sell that i5 and buy a S3 Link to comment
BlakeJordan
It looks like this is an issue specifically with safari in IOS 6. Can anyone confirm this by trying either opera mini or chrome? (free from app store) Thanks! Blake Link to comment
BlakeJordan
Also can anyone try the following in safari on ios 6 Several people have reported problems that Safari’s cache prevents them from browsing a web site’s current version; instead Safari loads pages from previous cached files (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch). It has also been reported that clearing cache, cookies and history does not fix this problem. Fix:iOS update may have changed your Safari settings. Tap Settings >Safari >Accept Cookies and change it to “From visited Link to comment

Guest Lil_Lilo
If you use Google Chrome, CHAT WORKS!! Link to comment
BlakeJordan
Lil Lillo. I don't know if you'll be able to get your phone replaced for free. If you do. It is a Toss up what version it comes with. itechbook.net/downgrade-ios-6-to-5-1-1-5-0-1-with-2-easy-ways.html If your comfortable, and at your own risk. The 2nd option in the above article looks like the best bet. Best, Blake Link to comment
BlakeJordan
If you use Google Chrome, CHAT WORKS!! Excellent. Good news. That indicates its an issue with how safari is handling websites. Good job apple. Glad we have a workaround- even free! -Blake- Link to comment
