Um, this is difficult to answer without sounding very inappropriate. I think they are very cute, but I have always had a thing for Asian ladies, but the dresses, oh my, envy. Enough said there.

Moving on. Are you serious? I do not get it at all, why bother with it? It is none of our business. Certainly, we, especially men, are in no position to judge let alone tell them what is right and wrong.

Errr... Lolita Fashion is not remotely based on infantilization. You're likely to get the tar beaten out of you if you go up to a pack of Lolis and say that. It IS based, more or less, in Victorian dollification, which is completely unrelated to infantilization. Gothic Lolita (the source of the modern uses of the term) was actually a term coined by and for a certain very infamous/famous crossdresser by the name of Mana, and has nothing to do with the literary work of the same name.

I would be utterly shocked if you got a Loli to wear diapers for you who wasn't already an AB.

To put it bluntly, you're trippin.

As a lolita fashion enthusiast, designer and seamstress... gothic lolita fashion has absolutely no origins or ties with ABDL or anything else of that sort, beyond the fact that lots of people into ageplay also like lolita fashion, for obvious reasons. Also, evil and anti-feminist? Really? Last I checked, the whole point of feminism is that anyone can play the role they choose, regardless of gender - even if that means conforming to gender norms. A woman can be a stay at home housewife and a stellar feminist at the same time.

...and frankly, the lolita fashion communities, as in the ones that have in person fashion meetups and run fashion forums for it etc. are notorious for being two things: catty, and prudish. Not only are they not more likely to be into ABDL, they're less likely to be into blowjobs, let alone fetishism. Many are downright hostile.

Terryfighter, this post makes you sound kinda nuts.

I adore Gothic Lolita fashion. There's no need to worry: if you're not interested in spooky girls, they're not interested in your interest.

I've been into lolita for years. Buy brand and make my own. OP is smoking crack trying to inform us of what they think its all about.

And what hkitty is right the lolita forums are bitchy, if you can't afford brand(and by brand i don't mean F+F) your pretty much a leaper.

Just one question. Do they have tiaras?

As much as my tastes resonate with yours, Terry, (it simply isn't my thing, best summed up as absolute indifference, and I too fear even the gentlest curves of the uncanny valley) you're very misinformed here. It isn't based on infantilisation in the slightest degree. As for your comment on being dismembered and eaten, it goes with the territory. It's very rarely a personality trait, though, merely a facet of the style. Don't worry, you've no need to bring a butter knife for your own defense, hah.

Thanks for clearing that up. I knew something was 'off' with the connection to the book, but not that it was a total misconception.

Also, I have seen "gothic" tiaras: We are not amused. They seem to be dark colored and almost invisible unless the girl is a blonde

I don't pretend to give you my idea, but suggest you try to make your own based on additional sources. Those are:

  • Lolicon manga subcolture, where you can find out there is a substantial blend with infantilism/wetting/BDSM/plain paedophilia and other fetiches.

  • The movie Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (sorry I cannot access to the version in English) that gives a good concept (in a post-cyberpunk setting) of the motivations beyond doll loving.

 Am I the only person who's tempted to raise an eyebrow at linking to, of all things, lolibooru? I'll keep that in mind though, next time I want to do some research, I'll look at some porn

Ok, I'm now officially shameless

Point stand still, though. Lolicon stuff is heavily infiltrated by "other things". The good thing of lolibooru is that it's really easy to search through if you know the right keywords.
