BBB
No, common sense doesn't come with support groups. Link to comment
DailyDi
Not a bad idea as we get those scammers on diapermates too. Link to comment
Daddy R
Thank You, I think it would be nice to be able to not take as many chances. Link to comment
Red Barchetta
Unfortunately, a data base of user names would not help, as any one can use any name they want online, and change it basically as often as you want. Email address is a slightly better way to go, but one person can fairly easily get a new Email address too. Other options are for the server to block access based on IP address, however, some connections change the users IP from time to time, by nature a dialup user has a different IP with each connection. SO what is left, well - again the server could just block a whole set of IPs - that method could if done properly, prevent the changing IP, but could also inadvertently block others as well - and still dose not stop the problem from being moved to a public hot spot with a laptop.... But it can't hurt to try something, but the fact is, there is nothing really you can do to totally prevent stuff..... Link to comment
~*PrincessZozo*~
people still use dial up? Also, common sense is a must. And provided I had more time, there'd be fewer spammers on diapermates. Link to comment
