You would think that pulling up in a horsedrawn carriage and pulling out the Amish card would have given the predator a free pass. Apparently not. Luckily, the police didn't 'profile' and let this guy get away with it.

Excelent new book by John Sanford called "Bad Blood". It's his latest Virgel Flowers detective novel and is about an old German church cult somewhat like the Amish and Menonites that has been in America for about 100 years. Deals with the church elders "teaching" the youngers (children 12 years old and older) about sex by forcing them to do it with them on a daily basis in the name of the church. Upsetting situation but they are all brought to justice towards the end. It gives a good look into how some cults can really get off the track of God and religon by simply misinturpreting and twisting the bible for their own self gratification. It's too bad more of these cults are not uncovered and the bad people brought to justice! On the other hand, I believe the Amish are not like this and this person may just be an exception. Like mentioned, Amish people with the internet and electricity? Never heard of their CHurch into that and I live in Southwest Michigan, not too many miles from some Amish.

The younger Amish people go through a period where they are able to experience the modern world .It is to give them a choice to choose between the amish lifestyle or join the modern world for good .So there could be computers tv or internet at certain periods of time !

The show to catch a predator is good for getting those sick pucks off the street. But every time i see it i cant stop thinking "how stupid can these guys be"

A friend and i were talking about this show and thought it would be funny if some guy shows up to the house and rather than having condoms and porn on him he had a bunch of stuff about abstinence and the dangers of predators on the internet and how the girl should not be doing this as it could get her into trouble...do they arrest him for trying to talk her out of having sex? heh.. But that would not happen as all those sicko's are already guilty thru sick chat before they even show up.
