Bottle Nipple -- Best Way To Add Holes

I just got an adult nipple for my bottle, but it came without any holes. I've been trying safety pins and thumbtacks, but the latex seems to just swarm around those and close them off. What's the best method yall have for increasing the number/size of bottle holes? Thanks.

Just poke a hole in it with a needle. If it doesn't flow enough open the hole up.

A small drill bit in a hand twist drill works best, start with a 1/32" bit. A good hardware or hobby shop will have the tools.

Heat the needle up and poke it through, that way it melts the rubber rather than just 'pushing it aside'

I like the baby bottle flow. It can be irritating but it keeps me from getting a tummy ache by drinking too fast.

I usually use whatever's handy. An xacto or similar sharp knife works best.

all suggestions sound like they'll work...obviously start small...once you've got hole(s) that are too big, you've got a problem. I've done the sewing needle approach successfully...I'd start there with heating it first.

Thanks for all the advice. I was able to get a decent hole out if, but now I'm dealing with the nipple collapsing. I don't think the hole is too big, but could that be causing it? I also read somewhere that nipple collapse is caused by not enough air getting in... maybe a looser screw on the ring? Stupid bottles... too complicated for babies like me.
