When I Grow Up I Want To Be.............

Recommended Posts

I wanted to be an astronaut. Now I just want to have a house. But as it sits I'm not sure where I'll be heading as far a career goes. Pursue the medical thing or engineering? Both paths are long a tedious and each would be equally rewarding but for different reasons. Eh, I'll figure it out as time goes by. :P

Ahhhhh, those were the days. Remember when you had nothing more to plan for than what you will be when you grow up?

I remember the days when my short term plan was to jump some buses like Evel Knievel, and then in the longer term to fly the Space Shuttle, oh most exciting of all I wanted to be a vet!! Needless to say I didn't acomplish any of those dreams, not even becoming a vet.......sob!!! <img src="http://www.dailydiapers.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crybaby.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":crybaby:" border="0" alt="crybaby.gif" />

So what did you boys and girls want be when you grow up?

never gave it 2 seconds thought as i grew up. went with the flow since you really couldn't choose your classes. only choosing my current career of medicine since my dad recommended it. 6 figure income if i can get in and you get to help people. right now, i could care less about anything. busted my ass in high school and got a 4.185 gpa and graduated 6th out of 263 people in my class and got butkiss in scholarships. still getting good grades but am getting less and less scholarships each year. this year, i have to take out a loan since my bank account from 4 years of min wage will not support me any more.

i understand the distribution of financial need but you have to reward the good students as well. according to fafsa, we "make too much money" but we really don't have that much due to expences. new furnace, a/c exploding in one of our cars, new stove since the other one kind of blew up, gotta redo the bathroom since it is about to break apart, etc.

at this point, i really don't give a sh** since all my hard work has gone unnoticed and my goal is still 5 years away.
