Seriously it seems like all the Diaper Lovers, and even Adult babies live far from the San Francisco Bay Area. I live in Oakland and the nearest Diaper Lover would be San Jose. Usually they tend to be in LA if they are in California. Santa Cruz is considered Northern California, sheesh I am only like just over an hour from San Francisco and maybe 30 minutes from San Jose

Okay..I should restate that, I meant South Bay, rather then strictly California. I just tend to think of it as South California, considering how much time/effort/money it takes to get there from where I am at. It's still not exactly a quick or simple trip in public trans. It's a little more expensive then SF. but like twice as far. It's just not worth it to me to travel over an hour and a half to meet someone or a group, unless I was already going to be in the area for some reason. For some people traveling that far or paying $16+ for transporation alone may seem worth it, for the chance that I can get along with someone that I will probably only see once a month or less realisitically.

There's always the possibility that, once you're acquainted, the Santa Cruz people might come to you. It's pretty unfair to discount them simply because their town is secluded. It's quite a bit easier to get to than, say, Tracy, after all.

Geographically, it is definitely Northern California (Not South bay, since it's about 30 miles south of the Southmost town that can be considered "South Bay"), and most would define it as being part of the Bay Area (despite having its own bay, the Monterey Bay). If you're looking for only towns that can be reached via an easy Bus or Rail ride from Oakland, realistically, you aren't looking for Northern California. You're looking for the Incorporated Bay Area, since that's all that such a search really applies to.

I manage to get up that way a couple of times a year myself, for different events. I was in San Jose just this last February for a hobby event and I was there teh weekend, and Next month is Pebble Beach in Monterey which I usually attend, but I don't think I'll go this year because I just don't feel like the drive and expense and such. If I was going, I have the previous Wed and Thur off, so I'd leave early and do other stuff before the weekend events so there is always that.

One thing also, if any of you want to plan an event, party or what ever, post it here like Bri and I do, and give as much notice as possible to allow for time off from work and travel etc. If you happen to get something together, maybe Bri and some others from down south will be able to make the hike up that way and hang out as well...a kind of North meets South thingy..it is possible, but we need some advance notice as said before.

Hope you guiys and ladies up that way can get together now and then....it really is a lot of fun as has happened with the last events that I have attended (but not in Attends )

Hang in there and hang out....never know who you might meet and making a new friend is always (mostly) a good thing!
