Good luck with seeing the Surgeon, hope he can help you ! As for "losing the thrill" I must sadly agree with you that "having" to wear does rather take the excitement out if it to a certain degree-but I still get a bit of a thrill first thing in the morning when putting on a fresh Nappy.

Heh Sparkplug have you considered going to a "Medical Aids" supplier-they are usually just out of town on an industrial estate and most carry a fantastic range of Nappies-most will give you a few samples of every Nappy you would like to try and very importantly they are usually much cheaper than all of the well known supermarkets, you could actually get much more for your money and in a better quality. Also the staff at these places have seen it all before and really don't give a damn-you are just another anonymouse customer who once out of the door will be forgotten! Good luck and don't be embarassed lots of us HAVE to have Nappies in order to continue with daily life!

Most of these medications have such unpleasant side effects it really makes you wonder if it is worthwhile taking them? I am at present not allowed to take any medication, I have accepted this situation for many years now and am used to just "Padding up" and getting on with a drug free life. lso you say you have come to accept Diapers as part of your life-so if the drugs either do not work or have a remaining side effect/s, I would be tempted to just "Pad up" and get on with my life and enjoy it all. Not worrying about your having to put on a Diaper does not mean you are a Diaper lover-but what the hell, they save you and I along with many others from severe embarrasement. I wish you luck with the medications and hope they help you, but I bet you will probably still wear a Diaper when out for at least 6 months even if a "cure" is achieved.

Hi Army Baby and welcome Glad you found us here, lets hope your wife shares your interest in Diapers given time-who knows.

I try to spend as little time as possible changing-into the bathroom, old Nappy off, quick wash round with soap and water, dry off thoroughly then on with a new Nappy and off I go-probably takes about 5 minutes per time, so that usually equates to about 15 to 20 minutes per day for 3 changes and not forgetting a good Bath/Shower in the morning, that adds another 20 minutes.

When I wake in the morning there is usually none of the Nappy/Diaper left that has not been soaked-so the "stuffing" gets flushed down the loo having been "mashed" up by hand beforehand-it goes and all I am left with is the plastic cover. I am not too sure what the environmental effects are but at least it gets treated before hitting the land or water and it does not sit in a landfill site for the next 50 or 60 years simmering away.

They will always be "Nappies" to me purely because that is what I was brought up with, never heard the term "Diaper" until I came on here ! Nappies rule and Diapers are just as cool !!
