How do you feel about your wife’s lack of discretion in telling her girl friends?

I am in no hurry to want to shout "bedwetter". I accept the curse, but still would be humiliated advertising it to the world.

I did and since I do the wash on Sat mornings, I don't sleep in diapers on Friday night.

I just did. And I had grilled asparagus at a XMAS party last night. Does that leave a strong smell in a wet diaper !

I have never had a date wet my bed, but I have dated a couple of women that confided to me that they were late bedwetters growing up. Both had become dry by the time I was dating them (they were in early 20's). One wet her bed nightly until she was 12 and wore diapers and plastic pants and the other said she had frequent issues until she was almost 15 and was also diapered nightly. She told me she still had the occasional accident even through college (mostly because of drinking).

I know what you mean. I don't think i ever liked it growing up or even now. It just something I have limited control over. However, I agree with Mike that growing up my rubber sheet was like a security blanket. Luckily I never got dry enough that my mother seriously considered removing it ("just in case"). However when I started getting more reliably dry at night in my mid-teens, my mother did try to ween me wearing diapers to bed since she felt they were an impediment to becoming totally dry. I admit I peed my bed intentionally on more than one occasion in order to convince her that I was by no means reliably dry.

That is about right then. A couple of bedwettings during a 2 or 3 week session

Why did puberty suddenly make you want to keep your rubber sheet?

Ya-that was my question. How would you get rid of"evidence."

I generally don't have day time accidents. Only nocturnal enuresis. But when I go skiing I almost always where a diaper under my long underwear. It is such a chore to get undressed, particularly if you are in a hurry, I would just rather have the option of going when I want.

Totally agree with that. I use a plain old light grey rubber sheet- Just wipe it down with a little soupy water solution.

Not true in our family. Growing up both my two siblings and I chronically wet our beds. My sister stopped around the age of 12 when she reached puberty and my older brother "claims" to have stopped around the age of 17 or so, but I know he still as the occasional "accident." My bedwetting stopped being every night around the age of 13 or so, but continues to this day. My dad told us when I was about 9 or 10 "to not feel bad-it was not our fault because bedwetting ran on his side of the family. He told us he had bedwetting problems until his mid teens as did my Uncle who is 3 years younger than my dad. I have a first cousin around my age and he wet his bed frequently through high school and continues to have issues to this day as well.

I could not imagine doing that. Some of the people I have met working at hotel check in are just oblivious to any kind of issue that is not status quo. I could just see them blurting out "as you requested there is a bedwetter sheet on the bed". I just bring good quality diapers and sometimes those disposable bed pads. Any leaks I have had at hotels are minor and dry easily.

I was not concerned about safety, just surprised by the heat as I have been in night diapers pretty much my entire life and never experienced anything quite like this.

Or probably just common place. If its people your own age, you have to wonder how many of them have the same garments on their line.

I was not for journeys, but even as a 15-17 year old teen, diapers and rubber pants at all hotels or relatives houses when we were on family vacations.

Were any of your friends aware at that age that you still suffered from the "curse"?

Yup-I know the feeling. My last year at camp I was a tall 13yr old and probably peed my bed 18 of the 21 days I was there.
