  1. To address an old point, Obama's election was bad for my sector of manufacturing because we do work for a lot of segments of energy production, including coal and oil, which we need a PotUS friendly to those areas. The company I currently work for is only now getting back some work from a customer we lost when mining slowed, and it has been nearly 4 years since my company has seen anything from this company. The company I got laid off from had the same problem with a major customer cutting back in the coal and oil areas and the alternative energy customers kept cancelling orders when their projects failed. And the problem with the current payroll tax cut is that it takes from the Social Security portion. They should cut from the federal portion of your income taxes without touching SS. I'm willing to pay my 6.2% portion if it means keeping a vital program in place. Even if they dictate tax brackets to reduce the rate by 2%, it's better than what is happening now.
  2. 2012 is a bad year for the two major parties candidates. Obama is no good for me, and the Republicans don't have anybody worthwhile. I'm just waiting for the third party candidates to become known.
  3. Are you aware that marriage can only be undertaken by people (not animals or anything else) who are of the age where they can consent to marriage, right? And my wife and I have discussed it - our marriage is not threatened at all by gay marriage. If they want to marry, more power to them. They should have the same rights I have.
  4. I don't understand why Californians vote on anything. The two biggest Propositions I have seen in that state have had the majority of people's decision overturned (I was there when Prop 187 was passed by the people, then it was overturned in the courts - and I am not debating whether I feel it was valid or not since I was 12 when the vote was passed). It's good that people somewhere are seeing gay marriage is not a threat to heterosexual marriages.
  5. Brady is a pompous jerk and Belicheck is worse, why not hate them? And don't forget, Brady is lucky to even be in the NFL. He was mediocre in college and a 6th round pick.
  6. The Giants aren't in New York, they are in New Jersey, same as the Jets. As for the game, it doesn't matter what the stats say, New England's defense stinks and now they have to deal with a team that can play offense. I don't like either team, but I hate Brady and Belicheck with a passion... so go GIANTS!
  7. Liberalism is why California is broke. I lived there 19 years and the amount the state spends on illegals is high. And welfare. They just love to give money away. The 22% I lost in pay is losing a good paying job in manufacturing and having to get a job paying 22% less (all) after Obama was elected. I work in the manufacturing sector and we knew Obama would be a problem for us, and it proved out in 2009-2010. We are now worried about Cap and Trade and the effect it would have on us, even though we would be a player in the Green Energy initiative. Green energy production and a carbon tax cannot coexist. Manufacturing is up now before some laws that people who are above my pay grade are thinking will hit the books either this July or be passed during the lame duck session and people are trying to get their parts and machines done to beat this deadline. Leilin, I'm not going to answer your ad hominem and strawman attacks except to say you're wrong on two assumptions - I'm a political independent who would vote Republican only if given two choices, and I'm obviously more educated than you're giving me credit for because I work in an engineering office in multiple positions in the manufacturing sector. And when I think politically, I think from the engineering side of things, as in what works for the small problem, and keep leveling it up to come to a decision. Horndog, I think both parties are bad off, except the Democrats haven't had to show how bad off they are. They still have an ineffective leader who needs to communicate why we should do something with rational thinking instead of going to emotional pleas (Bush did the same thing, most notably in the 2004 election). I still stand behind the Obama and Pelosi comments in a previous post as bad ways to lead. 2016 (if Obama gets re-elected) will show the state of the Democratic Party and, combined with the state of the Republicans, should be the perfect storm for a viable third party to emerge.
  8. The President has to be a leader of his party, Obama is not. 2009-2010 could have been a liberal paradise with passing their agenda through. Problem is they couldn't take advantage of it because they couldn't get out of their own way. They had the house, 60 Senate seats until the passing of Kennedy, and the White House. But, they decided to play the "blame Republicans" card. Obama needs to step up and rationally explain why something needs to be done, as well as do the other leaders in the Democratic Party. "Pass my jobs bill!", "You won't know what is in the bill until it is passed", and other such comments (and emotional pleas) from Democrat leaders are not acceptable and one reason the entire Democratic Party looks bad. Both parties are a disaster, the thing is, in my position, the Republicans are less of a mess. At least my industry doesn't have to worry about what a Republican will do to them, we see positive growth. And I still want the 22% pay I lost because Obama got elected.
  9. That is correct, it is a female, and she did do a good job on that article. But she is very "sex positive" according to her site, so we really shouldn't expect anything less than a review that doesn't make us look bad.
  10. I've put on a Depend over a Walgreens Overnight over a Poise pad before. It made walking awkward and sitting was difficult, but it was great fun.
  11. How does the Civil Rights Act get in the way of freedom? All the others I can see being obstructive now, but they have become bloated and need to be fixed, not thrown out.
  12. Oh don't worry, I will when I can figure out why response kept erroring out last night.
  13. And what context do you want? Him sitting in Reverend Wright's church as he spouts off G.D. America? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix-AMYos0Js No context can make this good. Even if Obama wasn't in the pew for this specific rant, I'd be willing to bet a paycheck this isn't just a one-time thing Wright said things to this effect. Actually, there are quite a few videos on the same theme of Wright hating America. Your religious leader helps to shape your view of the country and world. Really Michelle? Would you be disappointed if Hillary had been nominated? Connections? http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/vernon/080526 I'd say there is a long list of people Obama is connected to (more than just acquaintances) that shaped his economic and social beliefs. Socialists, domestic terrorists, and shady real estate deals. http://www.colorfultimes.com/2010/06/society/politics/barack-obamas-connections-to-socialism-communism-and-racial-divisiveness/ Here is more. "Spread the wealth around" - If it wasn't 1 am I would keep going...
  14. Nobody should have ever been for Obama. With everything about him not adding up, his connections, his beliefs (how about when he told "Joe the Plumber" about how he just wants everyone to have a bigger share of the pie) and the comment his wife made about her only being proud to be an American either after election as President or upon being nominated, he was just a rock star that was elected because he wasn't Bush. Too bad I can't sue for the loss of income his election cost me, it would redo the roof on my house and still have decent money to put in savings.
  15. Exactly. But I think this is why I am one who does not have problems with Depends - because I know it can't take a flooding, or a continuous wetting outside of a certain limit and don't try to push it. Pushing it causes the leaks.
  16. Unless I am in a situation where I have a greater than normal chance of running into people I know, I won't worry about leaks. This is because people really shouldn't worry about what I am wearing as I won't go out of my way to make it known I am wearing diapers. If I leak, it happens, and I'll usually be wearing something where if I do leak, it won't be noticeable.
  17. That's because they are putting the idea on hold for M3 and M4 right now and will re-evaluate it later. Cloth outer covers really don't make sense - they can catch on things and when the diaper moves, where does that leave a person?
  18. LOL, and I can run against you. Let the campaigning begin... (I'd be eligible for 2016 if I was born 10 days earlier because I turn 35 in 2017 when that inauguration would be).
  19. The left doesn't live by this - all I hear on liberal talk radio is "Bush this" and "Bush that" and Ed Shultz saying Bush handed America a "crap sandwich". And Obama's election was supposed to bring on change just based on his becoming President. The major problem is that both major parties have lost touch with the people and we have polar opposites fighting solely for their ideas to be it.
  20. In no particular order: Avenged Sevenfold - Buried Alive Avenged Sevenfold - Chapter Four Sick Puppies - You're Going Down Tool - Aenema Metallica - The Unforgiven Reel Big Fish - Everything Sucks Mother Mother - The Stand Drowning Pool - Sermon The Offspring - Lightning Rod Disturbed - Remember
  21. But new laws require proof of medical need for incontinence products. I just got my insurance information for 2012, and it's listed as covered if medical need only.
  22. I use them the same way. I find it amusing they are selling them in 2 quantities - 4 or 108 (which I am assuming 108 is a case).
  23. I saw one of those on vacation this year, it was awesome, and I wish I was thirstier so I could play with more combos. Only time I have been overwhelmed by a soda selection.
  24. I don't know if it works with regular soda, just diet. There might be some additive that reacts with real sugar that HFCS doesn't react with, since it is a sugar product.
  25. I haven't seen the uncut version to know exactly why it originally had an NC-17 rating, LOL. If I had, I might have more insight into it. The idea of Hell itself wouldn't warrant an NC-17 rating unless there is very high levels of violence, torture depicted in extreme ways, or hardcore sex scenes. But my answer was to give the OP more insight to how general the NC-17 rating truly is. It'd be better if they went to some proposal I read about replacing NC-17 with A or X, depending on pornographic (X) or violence/subject/whatever else (A). At least that would give a clue as to what caused the NC-17 rating.
